With #3 we were going to wait, however at the last minute we changed our mind.....right now we are planning on waiting...but ask me again in 10 weeks - lol
We had always said we didn't want to know. I live for surprises and just like the idea of being surprised. I read an article once that said something about a women who doesn't know the sex has a different experience during labor (since there's anticipation of finding out gender) but honestly, how can you even tell that?
That being said, DH has abandoned me and totally wants to know now. We struggled with IF and just went through IVF/ICSI so I was hoping that not knowing gender would at least be our 1 surprise of pregnancy but that looks like it's out the door.
And TBH, I've been obsessively pinning nurseries that are gender specific so now I kind of want to know!
@irishtheatrechic My sister told me about one nearby. If you like in a pretty populated area, you probably have one around. Try googling elective ultrasound in your town.
I've never really wished for a boy or a girl - I'm equally terrified of both, hahaha! I just want to build our family. And of ALL the wishes I have for this baby, both serious and superficial, I can tell you that what might be between its legs is a LONG way down on that list.
I am hoping we will wait. We found out with the other three and I don't feel like I missed out on anything. However I kind of want to experience it both ways. Not to mention, with three girls if we find out it is another girl, everyone make comments about it and of rather avoid it if possible. Although if it is a boy, it would be nice to have a few months to prepare.
We will definitely be finding out. When I used to think about being pregnant I originally did NOT want to find out. Being an LD nurse, it is the most amazing moment when parents find out that "IT'S A...." One of the last good "surpises" we have left these days. However, my husband REALLY wants to know so since he is so excited I folded and now cant wait to find out either.
We are planning to find out around 16 weeks by elective U/S. However we are going to have the tech put the gender in an envelope. We are then going to do a gender reveal party of some kind. (not a baby shower since this is second baby), but just some family for some appetizers and such. We are also going to get pics (family friend is a photographer), she is going to know the gender and do some cute ideas (without us seeing what the color is)!

So excited for Baby #4!
