I'm fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I usually end up voting Republican more than Democratic. I'm registered Republican and DH is registered Democrat.
I vote for whomever I think is the best candidate regardless of party. It's not about a party. I hated having to pick a party in the last primary just so I could vote. They asked me which party and I debated for a good 15 seconds because I didn't want to pick either republican or democrat. I ended up going with republican because they are fiscal conservatives. Or claim to be.
I am generally a registered independent, but pa doesn't allow for ind to vote in primaries, so I register for the party with the most compelling race for primaries.
I vote a pretty even mixed ticket. I find that there are few differences between republicans and democrats on a local level and that's where most races are for.
