This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF/IVM or FET with an ER/ET scheduled for August. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below. Went in for my beta this morning. I'm beta or bust so I have no idea what the results will be. Today I will be sitting by my phone, waiting patiently! If it's a bfn, I can assure you I will be partaking in some beverages this afternoon.

QOTD: my husband and I met through friends. It wasn't love at first sight but after a few months of hanging out we started dating. I can't say that we ever had an official first date. Before we started dating we would go out for a bite to eat together or he would come pick me up when we went out with friends. Those are all date-like things but without officially being a date. I love him so much and couldn't imagine my life without him.

*** BFP Warning ***

I don't really have any updates. I'm keeping the BFP sharing to a very limited circle until the u/s tomorrow. I've probably said this a million times already, but the first u/s for IVF#1 was such a horrible experience - at least this time I'll be prepared for the possibility that it could be bad news. It's weird not going to the RE every other day for a blood test. It's almost as if I miss getting stuck by needles and then violated with a plastic wand - guess that means I'm looking forward to tomorrow?

QOTD: DH and I are celebrating our 10 yr wedding anniversary this month, so this question has been coming up a lot. We actually met at a wedding - that neither of us were invited to. We were both last minute date replacements (I was my sister's date - her boyfriend was unexpectedly under the weather, and I offered to be her date and designated driver. While we were at the church, sis and I were talking to a friend who's date also cancelled at the last minute - and she also decided it was a shame to have a no show when the bride & groom had paid for a meal, so she called my now-DH who lives nearby to see if he could be her replacement date). The rest is history.

@AMShark, I hope tomorrow's ultrasound is a much better experience than last time!

@sunshinedaisies00 I could have almost written your post word for word. I actually just got done looking back at my blog entries from the last IVF to see if I was feeling these same things. And turns out, I was.

But then I tell myself a fresh and frozen cycle are so different--and then I'm back to being a negative nelly while forcing myself to think positive thoughts. Perhaps I should have scheduled a therapy appointment for this week.

My beta will be on Monday morning. Which feels like an eternity away. I do start back to teaching tomorrow so I am hoping that will distract me through at least Friday evening.

EDIT: I always forget the QOTW. We met through Match.com. He is 8 years older than I am, so when I first saw his profile, I just went right past it because he was *gasp* 33. One night I was bored, so I was looking through every profile Match had sent me, and came to his. He had listed his job and salary and I had NO idea that mailmen made that much money. So I sent him a message, basically saying I was in the wrong profession because I couldn't believe delivering mail paid so well. We began emailing back and forth, met for dinner after a month, and have been inseparable since. It's also worked out well for me because he knew from the very beginning I was only in this for his money!

AFM. I'm still freaking waiting for my FET. I have an appt tomorrow afternoon for a lining check and to talk to my RE to make the decision on how many popsicles to transfer and sign the papers. I'm a nervous freaking wreck.

QOTW: we actually met on eharmony. A friend talked me into setting up an account and after a month and a couple of dates I hated it. So I went online to cancel my account and had a match from my now husband. His picture was horrible but I gave him a chance after talking to him on the phone. On our first date I kept starting at him because he looked nothing like his pic.

QOTD: DH and I are actually high school sweethearts. We met in middle school and dated late in high school. I always had my eye on him! I used to say he was "soooo fine!" Haha :x

So sorry, @daydreamernyc‌. My beta would have been today too if my RE's office was open, the wait is killing me. Hopefully you are off work today and can spend some time with your OH to process and start looking towards next steps.

ETA QOTD: We met playing coed softball. Our wedding cake topper was a bride with a bat and groom getting ready to pitch (DH was the team's pitcher) :-)

I only had one beta at 12dp5dt and u/s is on Sept 10th so I have a little over a week to wait. Like some others, it's back to work teaching for me tomorrow so that should definitely keep me busy for the next week at least.

QOTD: Like a few others, we met online. I set up an account just to help my friend search for a guy but I wasn't really ready to be looking for myself yet since I was recently separated. I put a bunch of humorous observations about the dating site on my profile page and next thing you know my OH sent me a message saying my profile was so funny and different from all the other girls' ("I love long walks on the beach...") profiles...we just kept talking and finally I agreed to meet him and the rest is history

Nothing new to report here! I'm 5dp5dt and I feel fine. Finally back to normal from my retrieval- it was rough! I feel some twinges every once in awhile but I also know not to read into everything my body does or doesn't do. My beta is a week from tomorrow and I go back to teaching tomorrow, so I'll be distracted

I'll prob test this weekend so it's not too much of a shock (even though it's not 100%). We have 1 that we were able to freeze, so that would be next should we have a bfn. I'm a planner, so I always like to have a back up plan!

QOTD~ we met on My space (remember that?!) My DH sent me a message busting my chops for being at a Red Sox game (which was my profile pic) and being from NY. I brushed it off since I didn't really respond to random emails. after a day or so, it bugged me so I wrote back! We started emailing, met after awhile
and that was it!

*** BFP Warning - update ***

I had my first u/s today at 5w6d, and despite desperately wanting to hear a heartbeat, there was none --- but my RE said that its still early, and that everything is measuring fine, so I should not be concerned. It makes me feel better that she thinks everything is ok, but I think I might still be holding my breath until the heartbeat actually starts.

The surprise of the morning is that there are 2 gestational sacks! A little scary, but also exciting... and that's all I'm gonna say about that here.

AFM: I'm officially PUPO at 2dp3dt. Of the 8 eggs retrieved last Thursday, only 3 were viable and they are all nested cozily in me. My ET was the day before my birthday, so I'm taking that as a positive sign!

QOTD: We met on an online dating sight. It's hard to believe I found someone "normal" at age 38.

@MeatandBandP Congratulations! @AMShark 2 is so exciting!

AFM, my E2 went back to normal Friday and then my 3rd beta was today. Came in at 9,545 which I think is pretty good...hard to tell since it's been almost a week since my last one. Ultrasound won't be until late September, so hopefully things will be uneventful until then.

QOTD: We had mutual friends who started dating. The 4 of us were inseperable for that summer...and then they broke up. But we stayed strong and moved in together pretty quickly. At least they still get along when all of our friends get together.

Hey everyone! I just found this thread. I had my 3rd FET done on 8/25/2014. Had lining issues for some time now. Other FET lining was at 6.5 bc thickest we could get. This go around we got over a 8!!! praying for you all that everything goes well!

Im nervous and super excited for the future.

I go in on 9/8 to find out if baby took.

Alright I guess I should bow out of August now. I just left my RE and while my lining is now 12 he still wants it fluffier. No telling when the fuck I'm going to have my FET. I'm going back on Friday for another lining check but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I really hate to leave but at this rate my 1st beta may not even be until October and I know y'all don't want to keep it open that long. I promise I'll continue lurking and rooting everyone on.

@AMShark‌ wow, congrats on (potentially) twins!!! That's really exciting news.

@gsancho‌, @Lesliem0901‌, @Canuck13‌ and everyone else.... Was pretty sad yesterday and had a bit of wine because I could. Now, today I feel like it's a new day and I feel much more positive on moving forward and moving onto an FET this month. I've been doing a number of probability calculations to understand the likelihood of 2 or 3 BFN in a row and I realized its low. Just need to wait for AF. The September sweet peas group is so big!

BFP warning

my hcg zoomed up and my progesterone and estradiol are high. I'm going to try to zen out till my first u/s on the 11th and chill out. Goals. Pardon my absolute freakout.

ETA: gif fail...can't fix it. Also, qotd: my husband and I met at a wedding. We dated internationally long distance for a little under two years before I officially imported him.

Chin up @sunshinedaisies000 - Trying to look for symptoms during the 2WW is like trying to read tea leaves, only more frustrating. If it makes you feel better, I had almost no symptoms before either of my bfp's, save occasional cramps that I was convinced were the beginnings of AF.

That doesn't mean I didn't try to read something into everything. I was worried this time because my breasts weren't tender, and I could have sworn maybe they were last time. And then, I realized how much I ridiculously looked like Karen predicting weather in Mean Girls.

Anyone else feel like this? Anyone???

My RE called himself. 610!! I am 11dp5dt, had to wait 2 extra days than I normally would have for beta due to the holiday, which I guess is why it's so high. I can't believe it! Next beta on Friday. I may POAS now just to see what it's like to turn one positive :-)

I had my first beta yesterday. 1634!! The nurse said its so high we don't even need to do a second to check for doubling. First ultrasound on Friday!

@heathereb23 I also POAS after getting my beta. It was amazing to watch it turn so fast and the test line is darker than the control that's something I was afraid I'd never see.
