Tuesday that feels like Monday Randoms...

I didnt see one of these (unless the happy first day of school thread substitutes it, LMK)...

Whats everyone getting into today? Back to the grind for most of us, I assume...whatever that grind may be.

In my case, back to the at home grind (and then work tonight). At least my kiddo starts an open gym program for toddlers at a local gymnastics place, thank god! He gets to bounce some of this energy out!

  • I have a toothache and a cavity that I can see.  I haven't been to the dentist in years (FFTC?) due to lack of insurance. Now that we have insurance, I'm scared to go.  Time to suck it up and make an appointment.

Get in! I hate the dentist too but you'll feel so much better once it is done.

I really need to suck it up and start picking up more shifts at work. Money has been super tight for us, and it seems like I'm in the honeymoon period of my pregnancy, so I really should take advantage of it and work more to make more money. But work has been ridiculously slow lately, so I get frustrated busting my ass and making no money, so I'd rather not even waste my time there and be home with my family instead.

But on the flip side, I wont make any money if I dont even try to pick up more. Ugh. I just need to do it and make SOME money, since some is better than none!

@RondackHiker‌ I hope your DS feels Better soon. Poor guy!

  • DS has a stomach bug. He wants to be in the bathroom so he's on the floor in a nest of blankets and pillows. He keeps playing his fisher price sea horse over and over and stroking it's belly. He must feel really rotten. :-(

Poor guy. Hope he gets better quick

My pants are wrinkled. I am so ashamed. I can handle a few wrinkles but it doesn't need to look like I slept in my car.

    Oh my god.

Do you look like the wrinkly family today?

But really, I'm sorry. I hate realizing I look sloppy.

FFTC? I have never owned an iron.

When I worked in an office and needed to wear dress slacks, if they were wrinkled I'd just throw them in the dryer for a min to fluff them up.

  • I love my mom, her and I are close, but sometimes she grates on my nerves a little. Im probably just being a little hormonal, but oh well.

We usually talk every day or every other day or so, depending on how busy we both are. If a day goes by and I don't call her, she texts wondering where I am and why she didnt hear from me. Really? Last time I checked the phone worked both ways.

  • I got written up this morning for stuff that happened on Friday. Friday was the start of parents weekend, and I had parents come up to me and ask me how their student was doing Grade wise. If they where in danger of failing, I told the parents the truth. I guess I was supposed to lie, and tell them that their precious was doing amazing.

God forbid she care. There are a lot worse things for a mom to do than text her kid.
like I said, probably just me being moody about it. Didnt mean to offend anyone. Her and I also have discussed some things recently that sometimes put strain on our relationship, so its more so that than anything.

The texting thing doesnt make meactually mad or anything. I just wonder why she always waits for me to call instead of her just callcallIng me.

Eh, I think it's a bit annoying to text and ask why someone didn't call when you can call them.

This is what I was getting at. Guess I could've worded it better.

How is anyone in danger of failing on September 2nd?
We've been in session since August 13th. There are a bunch of factors that go into a students grade. Students have to validate our course in the 2nd week, if they don't then their grade is 0. They are in danger of failing at Prog in October. It's complicated to explain.

  • I had a nightmare about a roach last night. It was tiny, but I was paralyzed and powerless to kill it, despite it flying into my face and landing on various parts of my body.

I woke up and it was 3:29AM. Like, REALLY??? Wtf.

  • Going out for drinks Saturday (first time w/out H since E was born) cannot come fast enough!

We have to be out of our house by the end of the month and our options around here are VERY limited.   We thought we had it figured out last week; had a house picked out, the owner was going to hold the note for us and we could afford the payments very easily, the only problem was we had never seen the inside of the house (the owner lives out of state).  Well H and his friend went in last night to look at it and it is a DISASTER.  The previous occupant left a horrible mess, spit chew all over the carpets, the roof needs to be replaced along with the windows, doors, and fridge.  The bathroom needs to be gutted as there is mold in there...it's just...no.  I can't have my baby living there no matter how affordable it is.  Every other place to rent in town has a no pets policy and we have a cat and a dog.  I am FREAKING OUT.

Any of you richies have a spare house you're not using??

  • What do we think of these boots for a 2.5 year old?

is there a zipper on the inside?  I think they're ridiculously cute, but if no zipper than totally impractical.  (trying to wrestle a 2 year old into those, then tighten and tie makes me tired thinking about it!)
Good point. There's no zipper. Back to the search!

  • I guess I put DS' diaper on wrong this morning because when I got him out of his car seat to drop him off at DCP's, he had soaked his leg in pee.

There's nothing to make you feel like a mom like seeing that your kid's pants are wet, going through your head trying to think if he could have spilled water on himself, and then smelling the pants to confirm that it's pee.

At least I had a spare pair of shorts for him.

OTOH, they're $26 and it's not like she'd wear them everyday. The cute might be worth the struggle. Hmm...

  • So, last week, our admin assistant was carrying up some supplies for a board meeting and she accidentally dropped a huge tray of cookies in the parking lot. She carried them upstairs, and they were all broken and shit, haphazardly flung in the container. She was worried that our boss would be upset (it was a $20 tray of cookies). Boss isn't mad, but instead decides to GO AHEAD AND SERVE THE FUCKING PARKING LOT COOKIES to the board. WTAF. This morning, I arrive back to the office to discover that the motherfucker has BROUGHT BACK THE LEFTOVER COOKIES and put them on the communal table, like does he really think I might want to snack on some GD ground cookies? I say again, WTAF?
