3rd Trimester

4 days from due date & barely sleeping

The last 2 nights have been horrendous! I'm up almost every hour. I can't seem to get/stay comfortable & I'm often feeling super anxious even though this is my 3rd. Things are starting to get pretty uncomfortable down there now too so I'm guessing tonight will not be much different :( hoping baby comes sooner than later or it could be a looooong week. Scheduled for induction next Mon if I don't go by my due date but praying it doesn't come to that

Re: 4 days from due date & barely sleeping

  • So sorry! I still have 4 weeks and I too and pretty miserable so I can't imagine what I will feel like when I get as close as you. I hope you get some relief soon!

  • Oh I remember going through that with my first!! Just so miserable, anxious and not being able to sleep much the last four weeks especially the last week. Praying your baby comes soon and you get some rest tonight! Maybe try a bath and some deep breathing before bed? Good luck!
  • I am at 40+6 and have only slept 2-3 hours at a time for the last month. My only advice is if you still cant fall asleep after 20-30 minutes...get up. Good luck!

Ditto, right there with you :( Due with my first this Friday, scheduled for induction on Monday as well if she doesn't make her appearance on her own before then. Been going to bed about 930p, but lucky if I fall asleep before midnight...luckier still if I sleep more than two and a half hours at a time. Hang in there!!! Our pain and anxiety will soon be gone and replaced with beautiful babies :)

  • I feel like I'm that point and I have three weeks to go.... Hang in there momma. You are in the final stretch.
  • Just know that you are not alone! I'm so tired but unable to get comfortable for more than an hour or so each night. I still have about three weeks to go until my due date! :/ I hope you can get some rest soon.
  • 10 days from my due date and haven't slept well for at least a month.... Guess this is mother nature's way of prepping us for sleepless nights when the little one arrives!!
  • I'm 14 days away from my due date, my sleep has been thrown off... I am so tired during the day and at night wide awake.
I'm just sleeping when I can. But lately been super tired too. And when I can't sleep, I just hop into a nice warm bath.
Just got to adjust. Like pp mentioned it's nature's way to get us all ready for our LO's arrival!
  • I have 5 weeks left and feel as though I am entering this stage... every week closer I get the more diffcult it is to sleep... Your almost done yay!
  • Last night I was up w/ Braxton hicks & some light cramping. Still some cramping but very few contractions. My body is such a tease. Feeling more & more like this baby is not coming on its own. Hope everyone else is getting by ok on their lack of sleep.
  • I remember how that was! If you can't sleep, at least spend time relaxing as much as possible. Take a nice long hot bath in the evening. Do some crafting or read a light hearted book. Try to stay busy during the day too as that may help you feel more tired at night, even if it's just to stroll casually through the supermarket. Cook some meals for the freezer or watch an old favorite movie. Enjoy these last few weeks before craziness begins! Good luck!

  • I am 40w1d and when I can't get comfortable I get up, walk around a bit, maybe have a bowl of cereal, and then attempt to go back to sleep. Reading helps some as well.  Maybe try placing a pillow between your knees, that always makes me feel better. Good luck and Congrats!! :)
