I had hoped we skipped this 4 month sleep regression. DS is 18 weeks born 4/24. This is night 3 of hell. Tonight I went to bed at 8 figuring I would be up early. I didn't expect 9:15! I have yet to get him back down. He is currently asleep in arms. The second I put him down....eyeballs fly open. I. Need. Sleep!!!!!!!! So frustrating ! To anyone else going through same..I feel your pain! To those who have come out the other side..you are strong women!!!
Re: Caboose A14ers - sleep regression??
It was hard with both of them going through it at once. I was up every hr to feed them because they wanted to snack. It gets better and better as the week progresses, promise!

Went from sleeping 10-7 to sleeping 8-7 with a wake-up between 3 and 4 and then again at 5:30ish up for the day between 6:30 and 7. It's also started taking at least 2, sometimes 3 or 4 tries before she's really down for the night.
I'm really hoping this is it but I'm terrified it's just going to get worse

Has anyone else been through this and have an idea that'll work? Not wanting to let him cry, but the lack of sleep is brutal now that I'm back at work.
I would say the average I have seen is 2-3 weeks. So we are extreme, like I said. But each baby is different and it's impossible to really tell.

That said, sometimes she's ornery and overtired and can't get out of her own way, and she does cry for a bit as she releases pre-sleep energy. As she has matured, I've really seen her show us that she can handle those brief periods of crying. There's no panic in her voice when she does it. That's the difference btw a 5 month old and a 2 month old cry.
