To boost milk supply

Is it better to let baby suck as long as they want or more often? Dd is very unhappy at the breast today and keeps fussn. Usually she isn't fussy waiting for letdown either and is starting to be that way as well. Not sure if it's supply or something else.

I don't know if it's bad to just let her stay here and suck bc I fear it may be a I just want to suck thung. She has never been much for pacifiers but she found her thumb and now likes pacifiers which is y I question just wanting to suck. Not sure where to draw the line kind of thing
