What are you doing? Taking antibiotics for my lovely UTI.
Rants/raves: The sad part is I don't think it was even from sex. I went jogging on the beach and then went in the water, and I think it was the wet shorts for too long that got me.
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? For me, it was when my sister told me at 5 that a girl's chromosome are XX and a boy's are XY. That, and watching Look Who's Talking and watching the sperm race to the egg in the beginning of the movie.

What are you doing? Temping and then OPKs starting Weds
Rants/raves: nothing right now.... Only three days in to temping this month and already don't have a pretty chart lol. I haven't been able to temp at the same time for the past two days so FF doesn't like my temps, but getting back to work and the same morning routine will help the temps for the rest of the week. I'm not expecting to ovulate until this weekend so I think these two crappy temps won't matter too much

I'm not completely sure but I know when I was relatively young (we're talking like kindergarten or 1st grade) I was drawing pictures of women with babies in their bellies.... So my teacher suggested that my mom get a kids book about how babies are made....

GTKY: I can't really place it exactly. I had much older siblings and although they weren't trying to ruin my childhood, I overheard a lot of stuff. For instance, I never believed in any holiday characters. My sisters had me snooping for hidden Christmas presents when I was three. I feel like I always knew how babies were made...but I learned the exact specifics of everything in college because I'm a Child Development major.

Rants/raves: last month I O'd on CD 15 and we didn't hit -2. This month I wanted to hit as many days as possible in our fw, especially -2. If I O on CD 15 again -2 would be yesterday. DH wanted to go play D&D with friends after lunch yesterday for a few hours. Turns out a few hours meant 8 and he didn't come home til I was already asleep. Now I'm really hoping I don't O tomorrow.
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? Not sure. Probably later than everyone else though. I had a pretty sheltered childhood.

I remembering learning from a friend at school sometime around first grade that there was something called sex that a boy and a girl did in a bed under the covers. I don't think I had an understanding of the mechanics until fifth grade or so.

GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? We never talked about sex at home, so middle school in sex ed! I can't remember hearing about how to actually have sex before that. Maybe 5th grade.

Rants/raves: I'm liking the switch from charting on tcoyf to ff. I like being able to enter stuff on my phone.
GTKY: I first learned about sex on the school bus. The older kids were talking about it so I went home and ripped the section about sex out of our encyclopedia brittanica and brought on the bus the next day. Mom was pissed. But realized I had some questions and then we had "the talk" lol.

I remember my parents telling me what sex was and I was pretty grossed out. I couldn't fathom why anybody would want to do that. I don't remember exactly how old I was but I was pretty young.

Rants/raves: Ugh...holiday weekends always screw things up for us. Really need to drink some POM and green tea and have sex today!!!!!!
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? Basically through sex ed in school and friends. I think the Great Sperm Race was the best in explaining in detail how conception happens though!!

Rants/raves: getting nervous that fantasy football is about to ruin every Sunday for the next several months! I'm all about watching our team play, but this all-day channel surfing to follow his fantasy team around is not my thing!

What are you doing? The norms and hoping beyond hope FF can figure my crazy chart out!
Rants/raves: As stated above my temps are so crazy this month! We have had guests for a week including my 3 nieces (8, 4, and 1 year) so I am not sure if the temp problem is due to sleep issues or just my body hating me this month. I am hoping some secondary help from the monitor will help this month. Either way it is looking like it will be a long cycle, so boo. It will be a miracle if I get KU this month!
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? I was a first child and oldest cousin so I didn't learn about sex in general until middle/high school (the whole have unprotected sex once and you will for sure get KTFU bit) but the actual conception and for real process of baby making I learned here a year ago and from watching the great sperm race.
@holliberry28-I don’t think meds affect your O date, but your body could just have a later date this month. PS I recognize your avatar and just realized you changed your name!

Anyway, she told me truthfully and I was horrified, so I told she was gross for ever doing that. Poor lady, being insulted by her own obnoxious kid.

Rant/raves: Cycle 3 is when, statistically, the majority of couples have conceived by (51% I think) so I'm afraid I already have high hopes, or that another bfn will sting particularly hard. Also, how the eff do we have EOD sex while living with my IL's for the next five weeks...
GTKY: I had a friend who educated me on all this stuff in 4th grade...she had older sisters. We learned about it via the Great Body Shop in the 5th grade and then my parents took my brother and I to see "The Making of Me" at Disney World. Most awkward thing ever.

Rants/raves: Got a new thermometer today hopefully it works better than the Target one (keep getting repeat temps). Not sure if I should change to the new one tomorrow or wait? OPKs getting darker. Hoping for a positive soon.
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? When we had to watch "The Movie" I think it was in 5th grade. It was a good thing we watched it because I got my period for the first time the very next day. However I feel like I only have recently fully understood how everything really works. I can't believe I was so nervous that my BC was not going to work.

Rants/raves: Recently had a (horrific) HSG done, so I am a little mad that my positive OPK came early this month (like 3 days early), because my cervix is tender!
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? I think the first thing I learned was in my 7th grade Health class. I then learned the bulk of what I know from a human anatomy and physiology class that I took a year ago, on top of TCOYF after that!

Rants/raves: ED sex is getting obnoxious and we're only on day 4. Three more days to really cover our bases. Shit.
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making?
I'm amazed at how late everyone found out. My mom is a nurse and she was terrified that someone would rape me (long story) so I got the talk often and young, I don't remember ever not knowing. In a way, I think her over-exposure on sexuality was a little damaging. I was the kid who explained sex to my friends and neighbors, so I had a slut reputation when I was a virgin. It didn't help that she also explained drugs a lot too.

What are you doing? Temping, OPKs, prenatals, acupuncture sometimes, decaf green tea before O, more water, less caffeine, hopefully EOD sex starting around CD9
Rants/raves: I was obsessing looking at my FF charts last night, and I noticed that this is our sixth official cycle (not seventh, like I thought) after my PPP returned. Also, we have only timed sex well in two of our cycles. This knowledge made me feel a little better in the whole scheme of things (in light that I ought to see an RE after six months of well timed sex if over 35).
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? I don't remember when my parents told me, but I know that I was was probably 12 or 13. My parents were not very open about sex--especially since I am their first daughter. I really learned about the mechanics and probability of conception two years ago in TTGP. The Great Sperm Race helped put everything into perspective recently.

What are you doing? Charting all the things, prenatal vitamins, waiting out AF, then EOD/ED sex.
Rants/raves: I keep forgetting it's CD2 and start thinking of ways to seduce DH. Lol. Wish I could just skip this week and get back down to the baby making business!
GTKY: In honor of The Great Sperm Race, when did you first learn about sex/conception/baby making? I don't remember the first time I learned about sex.... Probably around the age of 4 or 5. But you ladies have taught me so much in my time here so far!
