Upcoming appointments this week : nothing until the 17th
Any body or symptom changes : bloating, bloating, bloating. Other stuff is minor but my belly is so huge it's ridiculous.
Random thoughts or concerns : Just general anxiety... So far everything is fine, but I will feel a lot better once I make it to the first appointment and we see baby and baby's heartbeat!
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : our baby has its first nickname! We've been calling it Bun (short for bun in the oven)
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : we met in college!
Upcoming appointments this week : First appointment with OB 9/3 for blood work and general question meet and greet.
Any body or symptom changes : m/s has arrived. Yuck. I was hoping it would stay away for a while longer or forever. No such luck. Extreme nausea and super nose. Smells are awful. Hoping it stays here and does not get worse, since I have yet to puke. Definitely have some baby bloat. I need to start finding deals on maternity clothing as I lent mine all out and never got it back.
Random thoughts or concerns : Will be so happy after this first appointment to confirm all, maybe then I will stop POAS. Thankfully they are still positive and definitely getting darker each time I do POAS.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : Looking forward to taking my DS to the zoo one day this week, since the temps are finally starting to cool off! Hoping we will start going once a month again, at least, since we have the membership.
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : We met in a bar. I was bartending in a small hole in the wall bar and he and a few friends were visiting the town for a few days. We just hit it off.

@Evakatharina : Cute nickname. So much fun when the nicknames start. It starts to feel real! I find it funny at how many of us use food for nicknames.
@norsern : Hope this is a good move! Let the men carry the heavy stuff! Try not to over do it! That sounds fun for your reunion. I wish mine had a family friendly event. I was not going to travel 2K to go and well have to ditch my child with pretty much someone DS had never met before. Hope you have a good time!
@katnhiding : Aww. Kick YH and tell him to buck up. Just kidding. I have heard that c-section scars tend to have pain during next pregnancies. But definitely follow up with your doctor.

Upcoming appointments this week : I am getting bloodwork done this week.
Any body or symptom changes : Little emotional. A lot more twinges in my abdomen. Exhausted by 9 pm, it will probably be even earlier after going back to work tomorrow!
Random thoughts or concerns : Thinking that maybe we should at least tell our parents before our first appointment. It is hard not having them to talk to.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : I am starting year 13 of teaching tomorrow!
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : We met by the elevator of our apartment building when we were both in grad school. It was 4:30 in the morning. We did not start hanging out until a few weeks later.
Upcoming appointments this week : None this week (blood work results next week)
Any body or symptom changes : Bloating, gas, nausea (especially in the evening or when I get hot), extreme thirst, peeing a lot, weird dreams, fatigue, my boobs feel like they're filled with concrete, and all the heartburn in the world. Seriously, even water gives me heartburn!
Random thoughts or concerns : I'm sad that my husband is going to miss the first 2 trimesters, even though I know it's our best option to have him home for the birth. Luckily I will get to visit him 3-4 times between now and Thanksgiving so that helps a LOT!
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : the last piece for our shower is being delivered and once my FIL installs it I can use our new, big, pretty shower that my husband built instead of our claw foot tub (they're great for baths, but suck for showers....plastic all around me trying to suffocate me!!! Ahhh)
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : I met my husband on the beach in Florida at sunset! It was like a fairy tale (also worth noting -- my parents met on the same beach over 40 years ago, and his parents also met in Florida...and we all live in Tennessee!). We went out for a date to a little diner on the beach (which we revisited on an anniversary trip) and quickly realized we went to the same college. We stayed in touch when we got back home and were officially together within 2 weeks.

Any body or symptom changes : I'm having trouble sleeping. Definitely emotional and anxious.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : Nope. Hopefully a relaxing week and I can catch up on some sleep.

Upcoming appointments this week: Nothing this week!
Any body or symptom changes: I've felt nauseous on and off, definitely peeing more and my boobs hurt so much. I think the breast tenderness is related to still being on IVF medication. I'm on progesterone and estrogen still until next Sunday.
Random thoughts or concerns: Last week I went on a tour of the hospital I plan to birth at with my best friend. She's training to become a doula and asked if I'd go with her. I found out they offer water births, which really excited me. So I've been doing a lot of research on water births.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related): Back to school this week! I'm in my second year of my Master's in Education so I think these 9 months are going to fly.
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO: We actually met through friends. My DH had actually dated some of my friends before I knew who he was. Years later, one of my best friends (who had also been really close with my husband through music) introduced us. I hated him! I thought he was obnoxious. 6 years later we married and 9 years later we're expected our first!
Upcoming appointments this week : I'm going back in on Wed. for my second round of betas... fingers crossed that the numbers are rising like they should. I have my first u/s scheduled for Sept. 17 and then will do another one 2 weeks later.
Any body or symptom changes : I'm peeing like crazy (its waking me up 2-3 times during the night when I never did before). My boobs hurt too- not bad, but more than usual. Lots of creamy CM (sorry- tmi). No nausea yet (knock on wood)- although I'm sure that's coming.
Random thoughts or concerns : Still terrified... If we can make it past 8 weeks, 3 days, I'll be a little more at ease, but I'm still afraid of another loss. Even seeing a heartbeat won't be very reassuring as we saw one with our last little one. I HATE that I can't enjoy this pregnancy the same way I enjoyed my first one.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : I go back to work tomorrow- another school year (my 14th year), its going to be exhausting. I'm looking forward to getting to know the kiddos though.
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : I found out he was looking for another girl for his summer volleyball team, so I told him I'd play. We started chatting before the season started and met up to play once. We started dating pretty quickly after that. He even proposed on a volleyball court (so cute).

@Benmel31 : Congrats on year 13!! As for telling family. Do it when it feels right to you. We have now told both our family. I do fear another loss, but would rather the support than not having it. It is totally a personal choice.
@kat0217 : Are you military family, that YH will not be around? Definitely better to have him around for the birth and to see your LO, then be there now though. As hard as it may be!
@xcjump : Yay for sleep. I think we all could use a little extra!
@jennyboomboom : So exciting about having your friend doula for you. I plan to use a good friend as well who is a doula this time around. She will love the experience and obviously will help her get births under her belt!

Random thoughts or concerns : I didn't have any morning sickness with dd, I'm terrified of getting this time.

Where did you meet your SO : we have known each other since highschool, but didn't start dating until after college. (He claims I was his dream girl in highschool and promised himself if he ever dated me he would marry me haha)We reunited through mutual friends at the FL/GA football game 5 years ago, together ever since.

Any body or symptom changes : I have ZERO symptoms.
Random thoughts or concerns : I hate that I had all types of symptoms for a couple days after my bfp but it has all stopped. If don't feel pregnant at all which is know can be normal but it can't help but worry.

@katnhiding I've heard that it is normal to have pain there due to stretching. I've had friends with c sections and that is what they told me at least.

Upcoming appointments this week : I am going in tomorrow for another beta, and it looks like they will be scheduling me for an US. My doctor wanted to have me in as soon as my numbers went over 6,000.
Any body or symptom changes : Nausea, mostly in the morning, or after eating a meal (also if I'm hot). I barely made it through talking during back to school night. It felt like I had asthma. My boobs are still sore, and they may have grown a bit (the bra that used to be too big now fits).
Random thoughts or concerns : My betas doubled in 41 hours even though they were pretty high. I'm hoping this isn't bad. My numbers were 1700 at 18 dpo (maybe 19), and 5500 three days later. If there are any repeat mommies out there who had high numbers and a good outcome I'd love some reassurance. My PGAL brain is going crazy with this.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : I'm still getting settled in my new house. We moved houses the week I got my BFP.
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : We met in high school, but didn't date until after college. We have been friends since 1996.
Upcoming appointments this week : Calling tomorrow to schedule first appointment
Any body or symptom changes : I have heartburn and minor nausea if I have not eaten. I am exhausted yet sleeping so poorly (full bladder constantly combined with worst dreams).
Random thoughts or concerns : No concerns. Just excited to call tomorrow and get an appointment date so I have something to look forward to.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : Just a lot of work to be done. Should have taken advantage of this weekend to clean the house and get things done at home because I will be working most days and all this weekend.
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : We went to the same college, both played athletics.
Upcoming appointments this week : Hopefully I'll get in with the midwife later this week. It will be our first appointment.
Any body or symptom changes : Mild cramping and breast tenderness, which is what led me to test in the first place
Random thoughts or concerns : I had a really bad separation of pelvis last pregnancy, I'd love to figure out how to reduce that risk for this one. And I'm fairly certain I'll be diagnosed with GD again, but it was diet controlled last time. That's fine. As long as I'm still low-risk. We're aiming for a home birth. And, lastly, my DD is still nursing. I'm so worried my milk will dry up. I just want to make it to 2.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : Just *hopefully* meeting our midwife
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : We met in college. We lived in the same dorm and ended up with a major in common (English Lit).
Upcoming Appointments: none yet. I need to call in to get a blood test, though, and I believe my clinic requires a "new parent" course before referring to an OB (military clinic).
Body/Symptom Changes: crampy and sore boobs. Super tired.
Random thoughts or concerns: I had huge difficulty breastfeeding my daughter and ended up in the hospital with an abscess and pumping exclusively for a year. I'm hoping it doesn't hurt my supply this time around and that this babe doesn't give me the same problems.
Anything exciting happening this week: my mother in law is visiting.

Any body or symptom changes : Not really. Some cramping and a little nausea, but feeling good.
Random thoughts or concerns : We told my MIL that I was pregnant and her response was "Oh". She congratulated me later but she is not very emotional.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : I peed on another stick today and it became positive before I finished peeing. I was pretty pleased.
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : We met when we were 18 at orientation for a job. We didn't start dating for a few years though.

Any body or symptom changes : None really - my breasts are killing me but I'm pretty sure that that has more to do with quitting breastfeeding since becoming pregnant
Random thoughts or concerns : A few days ago I had some bright red blood when wiping and was freaking out all day. Turns out (TMI) that it was just a little cut down there so it was the cut I would irritate when wiping so it was quite a relief to figure that out.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : Not really
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : DH and I met in High School. We were good friends for a long time and finally decided to date in our senior year.
Upcoming appointments this week : Going in this Friday to check blood levels and see what (if anything) can be seen on ultrasound. My OB knows I am worried after my previous loss so she is helping me monitor everything as closely as possible along the way.
Any body or symptom changes : I am thirsty all. the. time. My throat hurts if I go too long without water. I am also exhausted, but that is partly due to running after a 13 month old.
Random thoughts or concerns : Just the usual. I actually find myself not obsessing as much over the negative things this time around, mostly due to being busy with DD.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : Not too much. School starts around here so selfishly I am excited for the playgrounds and such to clear out a bit

Any body or symptom changes : - Sore boobs off and on, cramping off and on, sometimes feel queasy in the evenings (which may or may not be from eating poorly as opposed to pregnancy)
Random thoughts or concerns : I am concerned about everything! I keep POAS and over-analyzing it. This morning I took a Clearblue test with the weeks estimator and it still said 2-3 weeks when by my calculations I should be just past 3 weeks, so I freaked myself out about that. I need to just chill out, seriously. I think it's the fear of a missed miscarriage that scares me most - that I'll go in for my ultrasound on the 23rd and they won't see anything.

Random thoughts or concerns : My doctors office is making me feel like a crazy person. I've gotten a million positive tests at home but the one time I go in there, the test is negative.

GTKY - Where did you meet your SO - online 11 years ago
My first appointment isn't until October 1st! I'm dieing to hear the heart beat and am honestly just apprehensive to get excited until I know baby has a healthy heart beat (although I totally am super stoked - we tried for 10 months after getting pregnant very quickly with our first- I know some tried much longer and am very sensitive to that)
As far as symptoms are concerned I have had a few waves of nausea here and there the past three days and my boobs have randomly hurt here and there.
Random thoughts- I am pumped to be pregnant during the winter this time! It was so hot my first time around!
This week is just a normal week here filled with three shifts at the hospital, yoga every damn day, and continuing to work on potty training with the little.
I met my husband at the governors ball - we have been together seven years and married 3 1/2.
Upcoming appointments this week : No appointments until September 29 :-(
Any body or symptom changes : Sometimes I get cramps. DH swears my nipples have doubled in size.
Random thoughts or concerns : Am I really pregnant? I took three tests but, until a doctor confirms, I'm feeling anxious. I also don't have any symptoms which I'm grateful for but I don't want to go through MS. I really really really don't want to go through MS.

Upcoming appointments this week : I have not set anything up yet. My OB office waits until 8 weeks and then it is just an appt with blood draw to confirm pregnancy (as if I don't already know). I will get my blood drawn at the hospital I work and then make an appt after that in the next month or so
Any body or symptom changes : Boobs are tender and having cramps
Random thoughts or concerns : Why does the doctor seem to think I don't know I am pregnant when I know I am...Like peeing in a cup there is going to be any different than the 4 sticks i used at home (ya 4, because we totally were not expecting this LO so it took a bit to convince myself)
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : We were just notified that our offer on a house was turned down (estate sale, so no chance to counter offer) and then out of the blue found out we were expecting. That is about all the excitement we can handle right now
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : We actually went to high school together but didn't speak. I had just gotten out of a 2 year engagement and worked with his sister at a hospital. After a few months of hearing about her talk about him and the things he was doing, I decided to send him little text to see if he wanted to hang out. The rest is history.
Upcoming appointments this week : My first appointment will be September 23 -- which can't seem to come soon enough - I just want to see that heart beat to quell some anxieties!
Any body or symptom changes : I've had a lot of cramping -- though it's gone from all day to just part of the day. Over active gag reflex (though I haven't been sick yet) and definitely some bloating!
Random thoughts or concerns : It took us just under 1.5 years to get a BFP so I'm a little nervous that this one won't "stick". With that said I know that outside of staying healthy (eating well, working out and getting rest) there's nothing I can do.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : It's only a 4-day week (due to labor day), does that count?
GTKY - Where did you meet your SO : I met my SO at church actually -- in a young adults group about 5 years ago. Pretty random meeting, actually! :-)

Any body or symptom changes : Nothing too noticeable. Cramps and fatigue here and there.
Random thoughts or concerns : I just hope this baby will be healthy, since I am AMA.
Anything exciting happening this week (baby or not baby related) : We had someone drop off a resume who is PERFECT for the position I am leaving in Dec/Jan.

Any body or symptom changes : A lot of cramping in the evening and have to pee at night (which is very annoying as I never wake up in the middle of the night) also sore boobs when i take off my bra. Last week I had awful nausea and sweating in the middle of the night, but luckily none so far this week.
Random thoughts or concerns : Pretty freaked out this is really happening (even though we planned for it). I had a chemical pregnancy about 18 months ago so I keep thinking this will turn out the same way.

DH and I just had a beautiful vacation in the mountains and we just got back. But I'm not looking forward to cleaning the house!
