Do you love your crock pot? Help me with brand

So I'm back to work in 2 weeks and I love my crock pot!! I plan on doing a couple of days of prep to get my freezer filled up with crock pot meals. Trouble is, the one I have does not have a timer, it just has high, low and warm. So I'm thinking if getting a new one with a timer as I will be out of the house about 10 hours a day. I would love any recommendations!!

  • I have a black Friday special ;) not sure if the brand but it does have the timer. A friend has one where you can clamp the lid down and out it in a travel bag kind of thing...I always borrow it when I need to bring something warm to a gathering.
  • Loading the player...
  • I just use a timer that you put in the outlet. Like the one you buy for the Christmas tree.

But don't listen to me..... Go buy a new fancy crockpot!

Lol, this is a really good idea, but yes, I'm also using this as an excuse to need to buy a fancy new one!!!

    Thanks everyone for the suggestions!!

  • I like mine well enough. It's just a Hamilton Beach but it has a timer feature that turns to warm when finished cooking and a probe feature that turns to warm when your meat reaches a certain temp.

I have this one and I love it. Its a good size too.
Me three. It has a nice rubber seal on the edge of the lid so you don't get a rattling lid when the contents start boiling. My old $20 crock pot one did that and drove me nuts. :D

    Happy shopping!
  • Crock pot brand (countdown). Has times in thirty minute intervals. Changes to "warm" when the timer is done. I love it!

I have a cuisinart crock pot that I love. It is square-ish in shape and stainless steel. It has high, low, simmer, and warm settings. Automatically goes to warm when the timer ends and will stay on warm for 12 hours. Program time in 30 minute intervals.

My MIL has a fancy pants one from Williams Sonoma that you can sear/brown meat at the start. Thought cost a pretty penny though.

    Crockpot party at your house!
  • I have a major case of crockpot envy!  I just have the Black Friday special.... a Hamilton Beach with no fancy features at all.  Boooo.
  • @BetsyD2010‌ thanks for the link.....that looks fabulous, I'm going to see where I can buy it here, or online how much it is for us Canadians!!!
