  • Now I can participate in this thread! My fave gift is nutribullet that my grandparents gave me. I'm so excited to make baby food with it. Also all the gift cards! Wow those really add up

  • For DD my SiL got us our diaper bag and filled it with all the practical things you don't always know you need as a FTM-medicines, microwave steamers for bottle and pumping parts, the arm and hammer diaper disposal bags, etc.

  • Children's books. I had a Once Upon a Time/Build a Library themed shower. It was amazing, and all guests brought a book in lieu of a card. Most of the gifts given were from the registry, super thankful for them of course, but I loved the surprises of opening different books.

Also, I loved getting clothes, since I've purchased none thus far....MIL got baby girl a newborn jean jacket that is attached to a shirt...it is hysterically adorable.

One more coat of paint for the wall tonight and then I can finally start decorating!

We did that at my shower too! I got so many good children's books for baby :-)
  • I'm having a hard time choosing a favorite! I loved everything - especially off our registry because it was all the necessities we needed! I guess my favorite was the cloth diapers! My dad bought me 12 all in ones and I was ecstatic to add to my collection - now we have enough to diaper baby! Also I loved that some of my family members got us Michigan sports teams onesies. I really despise sports, but having a "piece of home" is so awesome since husband is in the Navy and we won't be back to MI for a few more years!

Oh wait, another favorite was a friend got a stuffed animal of a golden retriever. We just lost our golden 3 weeks ago unexpectedly and it was pretty touching as a gift!

Annnnd one more thing! My step sister gave me a ton of scrapbooking materials (albums, stickers, pages, etc) for baby! Thought that was a unique gift! (She even got toys and bones for our other furbaby!)

Our LO has a leg abnormality that will 99% likely result in a Boyd Amputation. A dear family friend of ours created a build a bear that had an amputated left leg. I lost myself when I saw it. It wax the most beautiful gift I had received!

@Aarg‌ What a sweet, thoughtful gift.

  • My shower is next weekend, I'm hoping for my Britax stroller & car seat. It hasn't been purchased yet, per my last peek. After we tried it out.in the store, I had dreams of pushing the stroller every where. The.dream was me & my stroller happy as can be, I don't even think the baby was in the stroller in my dream lol. It's the most expensive thing on my registry so I'm not actually expecting any one to get it, but still hoping :)
