Nursing moms have you gotten a period?

I know this has been discussed before I'm just curious if you have nursed before or are nursing now have you gotten a period while nursing? I nursed my other two kids and never got a period while nursing. But my LO is 3 months and I just got it and I'm mad! I hope this won't affect my supply at all. I've only been supplementing maybe one bottle a day or every other day.

I got mine and it has definately hurt my supply. I'm worried it's the birth control I started taking.

EPer 10 weeks still nothing

EBFing and mine returned with a vengeance at 8 wks pp exactly and was very heavy (worse than lochia imo) and lasted 9 days in total. I felt it did decrease supply, but as another pp said, it may have also been bcp I started taking at 6 wks pp.

I saw my OB for my pp and she said it *should be lighter next time, but will likely be regular monthly thing now. Le sigh.

13.5 weeks and not yet, thank goodness. Pumping and breastfeeding still. I haven't started any birth control though so maybe that makes a difference.

12weeks no AF yet ( I did have some spotting after my IUD was inserted; but I'm not counting that given my track record...)

With DD I got it around her 1st birthday and cont. to EBF her till 15mos With DS I got it around his 2nd birthday and I weaned him shortly after

None here yet (almost 11 weeks) and no bc. With my first I got it back about a week before his 1st birthday (also no bc)

LO is 9 weeks and haven't had mine yet. I bf when I'm with LO and pump when I'm at work. I'm not on bc either. Last week I had some light spotting, but it seemed more like lochia and wasn't heavy enough to be my period.

That sucks! Last time it took 9 months to get it then I got pregnant. I'm thinking it might come sooner because I'm already going out here and there and not making up for the nursing session that is missed.

It took 11 months for mine to come back last time. 9 weeks pp and nothing this time around.

Nothing yet, I was hoping there would be a poll on this. I am Ebf and no bc. It took 10 months last time but I had postpartum thyroidisis so that might have had something to do with it.

I should have made this a poll. I am happy to see some people have gotten it so I'm not alone. (tmi) I am bleeding pretty heavy. Ugh! I was not ready for it to return yet. I hope it goes away and doesn't affect my supply. I think I will try fenugreek just to keep my supply up.
I wonder if I got it because my LO started doing longer stretches at night so I am skipping a few feedings?

Funny this was posted. Woke with horrible period like cramps. Thought for sure I started, but not yet. I'm 11 weeks PP and pump. I'm sure that I'll start sooner rather than later. But knocking on wood that it stays just a bit longer.

My hair has started falling out too. The shower looks like Cousin It's bathroom when I'm done. Ick.

Was ebf and got it at 6 weeks. It was much heavier than any in my past and lasted about 6 days. That is when my supply went really down hill. I went from an over supply to nothing. Lo fought me through AF to feed them my late afternoon and evening supply was pretty much gone and had to start supplementing.

Nothing yet. DS is 13 weeks. I started off nursing and then went to mostly pumping when DS wasn't nursing efficiently. I've been now nursing exclusively again since last Tuesday

13 weeks pp, EBF/pumping, no birth control, and no sign of a period. I never got a PP period with my daughter so hoping I can ride that train again. Haven't had a period since 2011.

Got a fairly heavy period just past 6 weeks (was mix of pumping and BFing). Then about a month later I had barely a day of spotting. Not sure if that's the BFing or BC that's affecting it.
