A year ago, all of us had either received our BFPs or were about to find out in the coming weeks that we were KU. I have been pretty emotional (thanks, hormones) lately about what has happened in the past year and all the excitement of pregnancy. I'm bored at work today so share your story.

Re: GTKY - One Year Later
Surprised or planned?: It was planned... our 2nd month trying. We started trying in July. We weren't trying in August, just not preventing. We decided we would wait until after our wedding (September 13). Kailey had other plans!
Favorite pregnancy moment: Announcing it to everyone at rehearsal dinner and finding out the gender!
I had a dream last night I took a test and got a BFP!

Surprise BFP or planned?
Surprise. We'd only been married four months and this was the first time we weren't preventing. Like the first time ever wo condoms and I was not paying attention to dates. So yea we didn't expect anything. I always thought I'd want to be married a year before getting preggers but since you never know how long it will take we thought we might as well not prevent. We were very lucky and I am so thankful to be a fertile myrtle.
Favorite Pregnant Moment:
Seeing my husband tear up when he heard heartbeat for the first time. The wild kicks and rolls
Anything else you want to share?
I cannot believe I'm missing being pregnant and I can't believe that was a year ago. All that wonder: Will it be a boy or girl? What will he/she look like? Are we ready for this? Will I be a good mom?
Now I'm tearing up....
BFP Date: Sept 30th
Surprise or planned?: It was both. I miscarried at the end of June, was completely heartbroken. My fiance promised me he would make sure I got KU-ed again soon.
Favorite pregnant moment: Everything...I really loved my pregnancy. Finding out it was twins, seeing their little heartbeats, having a big belly, doing prenatal yoga with a big belly, feeling them move, finding out it was two girls and announcing our twin pregnancy to family - their reactions were priceless.
Anything else you want to share?: My fiance still thinks that the baby we lost "came back and brought a friend." I mostly feel the last year has been a roller coaster that I am so lucky to be able to have found an open seat on.

Surprise BFP or planned?
Both. We decided to ttc in August. Very lucky! Our anniversary is 8/27 too @comicsans! How many years?
Favorite Pregnant Moment:
Seeing ds when we had the US. The kicks. Wondering if he was a boy or girl. I have many.
Anything else you want to share?
I don't miss the hip pain that's for sure. I'll never forget my dh saying on the way to the birth Centre "last time it's just us" and see him tear up when ds was born.
Surprise or planned: a little of both. I went off the pill in January but wasn't tracking anything or paying attention to dates. I thought it'd take longer and we'd really have to "try" since I was 35. Guess not! It took 3 positive tests over 2 days before we believed it.
Favorite pregnant moment: seeing him on the 1st u/s and the first kicks.
Anything else: I wish I had enjoyed the end of my pregnancy more, like the kicks that were all mine, no 4am feedings and just being the 2 of us 1 last time. But I was so uncomfortable and impatient by the end.
Happy Endings

I'm totally reading every word of this thread and crying into my latte. Love hearing your stories ladies!
Surprise BFP or planned? Planned. Went off BC in April, got married in June and stopped using protection the day we got married.
Favorite Pregnant Moment: hmm this is a tough one. I would have said our anatomy scan but it didn't go well and they told us he might have downs. Probably the day we got our Mat21 results and could finally celebrate our boy. A close second would be telling our families
Anything else you want to share? I can't believe it has been a year since this all started. So much has changed and I still can't believe I made this beautiful little boy
Surprise BFP or planned? Planned.
Favorite Pregnant Moment: The first ultrasound and being able to see the heartbeat of our wiggly little gummy bear. I bawled.
Anything else you want to share? My BFP was one year to the date of the miscarriage of our first child. I don't think it was a coincidence and am thankful everyday for my little man. Also, if I ever do this again, I won't be staying Team Green. I thought the whole time LO was a girl and had a hard time adjusting to a boy after he was born. Andplusalso, this board is amazing. So much support and help.
Surprise BFP or planned? Planned
Favorite Pregnant Moment: Watching my baby be born.
Anything else you want to share: I want to be pregnant now.
T 2.12 | W 5.14
Surprise BFP or planned: Both? I had just had my mirena removed in mid August. We hadn't actually started TTC, just hadn't bothered to use protection because I thought it would take a couple months for my cycles to regulate. DH was shocked, and then delighted when I told him. I guess sometimes it just takes once!
Favorite Pregnant Moment: Watching the wonder on DH's face during the A/S. Feeling her moving inside me. I secretly loved being woken up intge middle of the night by her vigorous kicks.
Anything else you want to share? I look at her sometimes and cannot believe that I carried this perfect little human inside me for 9 months.
Surprise BFP or planned? Totally planned! Counted days for ovulation and everything. Everyone told me I couldn't get prego the first month we tried, well we did!
Favorite Pregnant Moment: I think feeling her move was amazing. Caught me off guard and started to seem more real that I was growing a little baby inside of me :-)
Anything else you want to share? My hubby was deployed from month two of my pregnancy through month 9, it was really hard doing it on my own but that's how we planned it. Im just glad I had a Doppler so he could hear her little heart beat while he was gone. Still amazed that we made her :-)
1st BFP-8/17/12! Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US. D&C.
2nd BFP-2/13/13! Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
3rd BFP-5/22/13! By early June, progesterone plummeting. Another loss.
August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.
Dear Son born 5/28/14
My husband and I both had crappy days at work so he made us martinis. I was complaining that my boobs were sore and it was longer than normal for PMS. My period is super irregular so I just figured I was due. My husband jokingly said I should take a pregnancy test before I had my drink. So I did, almost to prove him wrong. It was positive. He drank my martini for me.
Planned or Surprise: surprise. We weren't preventing, but we had been trying for over a year and nothing but a CP. We were going through fertility testing, I had one more test to do to confirm whether I had PCOS, so we didn't really think I could get pregnant without assistance. But we could and did!
Favourite Pregnancy Memory:
Telling my in laws I was pregnant. It's their first grandchild and they have been very patiently waiting for one. My MIL screamed SO loud!! It was awesome. They are amazing grandparents.
Planned!!!
Favorite Pregnancy Moment: Seeing the LO on first US with flickering heart!
Anything else to add: I'm still a huge cow! I still have 12lbs that will not come off, this sucks!

BFP # 5 - 09/14/13 EDD 05/28/14, DS2 born on 5/22/14
Surprise BFP or planned? Surprise.
Favorite Pregnant Moment: None - I hated being pregnant. Hated. It.
Anything else you want to share? I got on the scale today and I am officially back to my PP weight! Soooooo happy!
SURPRISE OR PLANNED: planned. It was our 11th month/cycle trying, and our 9th using FAM. I had bought a Chicco travel system at a yard sale the first we were trying. My husband wasn't too thrilled about it since we were not pregnant yet. Eventually, as the months wore on without a positive HPT, he became convinced that the stroller was cursing us. As it happens, last August I stopped temping religiously, used a soft cup for the first time, I drank a bunch, and finally got rid of the stroller... and got a BFP! my husband totally did an "I told you so!"
FAVE PREGNANT MOMENT: It was either getting the BFP or seeing her for the first time on ultra sound at 9 weeks. She was one inch long and now she's 24 inches!
ANYTHING ELSE: We decided to hold off until the 12 week ultra sound to tell people, but I was so afraid of having a miscarriage (everyone else i knew IRL had issues with their first pregnancy) that at 4.5 weeks alongI told my best friend at work just so that if i lost the baby, someone would know that I was pregnant.
Surprise BFP or planned? We were NTNP but it was a surprise because we hadn't really planned on trying until Spring 2014. I was supposed to get my period during a weekend away camping, but it never came and I got my BFP a week later.
Favorite Pregnant Moment: I loved being pregnant. I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia at 31 weeks and I was terrified I would be giving birth early to a preemie baby, so I soaked up every last minute of my pregnancy. My MW decided to induce at 37 weeks, and I went for a prenatal massage the day before my induction. I remember standing in the massage room in my robe, with the lights dimmed and that calming music playing, just staring in the mirror at my belly. I was so excited to meet my sweet boy the next day but also sad that my pregnancy would be coming to an end. We're so grateful that everything turned out well.
Anything else you want to share? I can't believe how nostalgic I am about the past year! I would do everything all over again in a heartbeat, just to re-experience it. And it's such a cliche but I can't believe how fast time has gone and how much LO has grown over the past 4 months, but I'm so excited for the future. My love for my baby is never-ending, but my love for my husband has grown more than I ever thought it could as well. I'm so happy with our new little family.
9/15
Planned but a surprise the month it happened. We only did it once during my fertile window and it was 4 days before ovulation. Then we went on vacation and ran around drinking & cavorting for the next week. I had no symptoms and only tested because I hit CD 32, which was my longest cycle. I fully expected it to be another BFN though.
Oh god where to begin? Seeing that second faint line form on the Wondfo. Hearing the heartbeat when I was sure I was about to have another chemical pregnancy. Finding out he was a boy (I had always wanted a girl and thought he was a girl and was surprised but in the best way). Feeling him kick. I loved (almost) every moment of pregnancy.
Now that it's been a year, I'm probably mentally going to relive my pregnancy as each random little anniversary occurs. In fact, on this day last year (possibly even this very hour) Henry was being conceived
Oh and thanks for rocking my socks, May 14
:x

Fave moment: finding out was one of them! My DH and i did it together and it was awesome hurrying into the bathroom and looking at the result at the exact same time! Going to sound crazy but I also loved when I was labouring the connection I had with DH..I had a thing that I needed to look into his eyes as I breathed through contractions. Also loved the heart beat, kicks, hiccups and flips
Surprise BFP or planned? Planned, but took 8 months for a sticky, so surprised too!
Favorite Pregnant Moment: Anatomy scan - my husband was convinced it was a girl, but was delightedly surprised that it was a boy (which is what I told him I suspected)
Anything else you want to share? It's been a crazy year. Tomorrow is the one year anni for my BFP and the start to an amazing journey.
(Edit for line breaks)
Surprise BFP or planned? Planned. I had 2 miscarriages the precious months. So I got pregnant 3 months in a row, with the first two ending in miscarriages. I was terrified of having miscarriage #3
Favorite Pregnant Moment: The first ultrasound seeing the heartbeat, finding out we were adding a baby boy to our family, and all those kicks/punches where I just felt like for that short period of time, he was all mine.
Anything else you want to share? Pregnancy and me do not get along. It's a necessary evil IMO. I think we are done with two.
Surprise BFP or planned? Planned!
Favorite Pregnant Moment: Feeling him really move hard from the outside.
Anything else you want to share? This year FLEW! But yet, so much happened. It's crazy to think where we will be another year from now!
Mommy to my sweet boy, JG, born May 15, 2014
Baby #2 due 4/26/16!
DS: 11/8/11 | 9 lb 7 oz, 22 in
DD: 5/22/14 | 9 lb 9 oz, 21.5 in
Planned or Surprised?: Planned, except we weren't expecting to get pregnant right away. I was off the pill in July started trying in August. We were hoping for a June/July baby.
Favorite Pregnant Moment: Feeling the kicks for the first time. And also telling MH. He was taking a nap before going to work on the overnight and I woke him up showing the test. He was so excited. Then that night while he was at work I couldn't sleep so I texted him how I'm excited about the baby. And he said to me, "wait you're pregnant, I thought I just dreamt that" it was cute.
Anything else you want to share?: as hard as my first 2 trimesters were with morning sickness. I miss being pregnant. I always said growing up I don't want children, but I'm glad I decided to have a child for MH and I am so in love with my son!
