@haddocky I do too...it's awful! I know I shouldn't but it's a battle that I just can't win. He rarely sits in the tub and I'm constantly saying, "Eli, sit down, Eli, sit down"
On Tuesday, I was trying to clean off my desk. The papers were flying, and one hit a travel coffee mug that was on my desk. I thought it was empty.
It wasn't. It soo wasn't.
Not only did it have something in it, but it was filled with a half-drunk latte, or cream-enhanced coffee that had sat on my desk for a few weeks. So, I watched, panicked and disgusted as soured and curdled coffee milk streamed across my desk and towards my computer.
Then I cursed a lot, used every kleenex I had to mop it up, and proceeded to do lots and lots of wiping and sanitizing.
I need to clean my desk more. Really. And take mugs home FAITHFULLY every night.
I let my kid stand in the tub. In fact, I let my kids take a shower together in my standalone shower. All.the.time. I don't get splashed that way. I also don't have to worry about either of them slipping underwater so I can get other stuff done. Like laundry.
I don't like TVs in bedrooms either. We do have one in our bedroom but it was pretty necessary when I was on bedrest and it was pretty necessary when I was shooed to bed every night at 8 because we bedshared. Eventually we will not have a TV in there and the kids will not be allowed one at all.
I don't think it's crossed els mind to stand in the tub yet. She still uses the tub chair that suctions to the tub. I stand her to wash her then sit her back down.
We have a cast iron tub with a porcelain overlay. I do not let Ben stand in the tub, because it is extra slippery and unforgiving. Bath time stresses me out. So I make H shower with him more time than not. H holds him, and Ben snuggles in like a monkey. They both love it and I don't have to worry about him falling. I go in the bathroom too, in case he gets too squirmy and H needs an extra set of hands.
I let my daredevil stand in the tub, I haven't heard the Taylor Swift song, I haven't seen Frozen, I never make breakfast, and I haven't shaved my legs in a week.
(We are playing this like the "I'm going on vacation and I'm taking..." game, right?
Solidarity. :-h

Thank you for being a friend. Traveled down the road and back again. Your heart is true. You're a pal and a confidant. If you threw a party. You would see the biggest gift would be from me and the card attached would say, thank you for being a friend.
Thank you @casey78 you have inspired me to go get a fresh hair cut and take some time for myself today. It occurred to me reading your post that I haven't had a hair cut in a year! Instead of cleaning the house all day while El is at daycare I'm going to go have some time for myself.
Shit maybe I'll go have a quiet lunch and a glass of wine all by myself!
I made choc chip cookies yesterday but only baked 2 dozen. The rest I scooped out and put in the freezer. Now I can have cookie dough balls whenever I want. Maybe this part is a UO... Cookie dough is so much better than baked cookies!
I think we should do some throwback confessions. College days or something. No one is sinning enough these days.

This isn't super juicy but I've already started buying and socking away Christmas gifts. El is getting one big gift and some books . I guess the confession is that I overdo Christmas and I can't help myself. I'm getting her this play kitchen as her big gift:
Our dogs are at "doggy camp" aka the kennel and I'm sad to say life is 1000% more relaxing/stress free/productive without them here. It makes me feel bad, but it is so true. :-S
My SO had a girlfriend when I met him. He told me to give him 3 days to break up with her and he'd call me. I was like yeah whatever... Didn't think he'd call, he did.
She was so sad and I felt really bad for her but... that was 9 years ago so I guess it was meant to be?

Thank you for this. We had to put our dogs down this past year and I want to get another so bad. I think I'd lose my mind though!
For one of my friend's 18th birthday, we went to a Chippendale show because she wanted to for some reason. I got it on with one of the dancers in the back part of the club after. He was so shiny and smelled of coconut and THIS is why the smell of coconut makes me ill to this day.
ETA: This was not prostitution. I didn't pay him. I thought he was flirting because he wanted a tip but he was really just DTF and I was schwasty.
I slept with a guy who had a gf (she was sort of a friend, but not close) at a party at her house while she was in the living room. Afterwards we went back to the party like nothing happened. X_X

Re: FFFC
Big side eye to parents who let their kids have a tv in their room.
So when they're in trouble, where do you send them?
