Pregnant after a Loss

No symptoms.....

Hi ladies,

I am trying not to worry but I can't seem to help it. The very little symptoms I had early on are completely gone now. The 4 betas I had done were all doubling good and within range but that doesn't seem to help ease my mind.Called my doctor but they don't want to give me an U/S saying its way to early. I guess I just need to wait it out and hope and pray that I don't start bleeding.

Thanks for listening to me vent.

Re: No symptoms.....

  • Symptoms come and go and every pregnancy is different. PgAL brain really makes it hard to keep that in perspective; especially during first tri. I know that I spent most of first Tri poking my boobs and trying to decide if I was really nauseaus or just nervous or what.

I'm mobile right now so I can't see how far along you are but as much as it sucks to wait for an us, it can be just as nerveracking to have one too early. Your doubling betas are a great sign. Try to enjoy your symptom free days for now. Before you know it you could find yourself praying to the porcelain god and wishing to feel how you do right now. ;)

  • I agree with PPs. It's early hun. A lot of people don't experience symptoms until 7-8 weeks. I've started experiencing nausea but it comes and goes, and some days I feel nothing at all.

  • My symptoms totally freak me out sometimes. I started experiencing full on puking morning sickness early on at about 5 weeks. By 6.5 weeks it pretty much went away entirely but then a few days ago I had a really pukey day and yesterday I had the most pukey day yet and felt so sick all day. Today I only feel very mildly nauseas. There doesn't seem to be any kind of pattern to my morning sickness. Same with my boobs. Some days they're really sore, others they're not. I try not to freak too much because I've had 2 really good ultrasounds so far and things seem to be going well. Try not to worry it may just be a bit too early. Your symptoms may still arrive yet. Or maybe they won't, it's all normal.

  • As PP's have said, every pregnancy is different and symptoms vs no symptoms really doesn't mean anything.

I'm one who has pretty much no symptoms this entire pregnancy. I had symptoms with all of my previous losses. Not going to lie, having no symptoms made me pretty anxious early on. Hang in there, take it one day at a time and try to stay positive.

  • I'm anxious too at almost 5 weeks. My symptoms are varying too. Can't want for my next draw tomorrow for a little more peace of mind. You are not alone. Thank you all to Brittany for starting this thread and PP for your reassurances.
  • Like PPs said, try not to worry :)  I had very little symptoms early on with my 2 healthy baby pregnancies, yet was sick as a dog from day 1 with the baby I lost. Every pregnancy is different. You can have no symptoms or all of them and everything can still be fine.

  • I too am not feeling much symptom wise. 6 1/2 weeks along, miscarriage was in April. Breasts are a little sore, kind of tired, but not like I was with my last 2 pregnancies. Preparing myself for the worst. I have a u/s next week that I'm excited for yet dreading at the same time.
  • Sadly, if it's not one thing driving you to worry with PGaL brain, it'll be another.  Even if you had them, you'd find another reason to worry.  If it helps, having symptoms doesn't make you any 'safer' than not.
