I'm a little over 38 weeks and on the 25 at 9:00 I started having contractions they got down to 3-5 min apart and had my friend drive me to the hospital when I got to triage and got all my monitors I became so uncomfortable and after a while my contractions began slowing down till they were 7-10 mins apart. They wanted to send me home that night but I am the only one who would be able to drive me back if they started up. So they held me for observation by this time I was wide awake wondering what was gonna happen since this is my first baby they gave me the iv and 15 mins later I was out cold. Woke up the next morning with scattered contractions and only very slow dilation so they sent me home. I'm so ready for this baby to come and this false alarm has had me so down lately everyone I know keeps saying he wasn't ready or it will happen when it does and I tired of hearing it. Everything just makes me feel down I wish he would just hurry he's due sep 8 th.

I'm sorry you've had false labor. For first time moms it happens a lot - sometimes 5 or 6 times.
Nobody here can tell you when your baby is coming, or offer better advice or words of wisdom than the medical professionals who have most recently observed your vag. I'm sorry that isn't satisfactory.
Please realize that if your son is due 9/8 he could theoretically still be inside as late as 9/22. Adjust your expectations and you're less likely to be disappointed.
Also if you want people to kiss your ass with "oh sorry, that totally sucks" then perhaps you should offer some support in addition to seeking it.

Way to be a textbook empathic listener! But we are a public forum, not a free therapy session. Everyone is uncomfortable and full of conflicting emotions at this point. There's no advice to give ... And she didn't ask for any in her op

So here's my advice for OP (even though no question was asked)....
* Use some common sense... would you walk up to a bunch of strangers IRL and tell them your story? You basically just did the internet version of that here, hence the response you got.
* Grow a thicker skin.
* Know that it is entirely possible to go up to 42 weeks, and that at 38 weeks you are not even at full term yet. No matter what the stupid bump app still says. 39 weeks is full term.
* We are all uncomfortable at this point, welcome to third tri.... try to make the best of it.
* When I had my first I remember distinctly feeling that he was much easier to take care of as an inside baby than an outside baby. Seems crazy now, and I want mine out too, but really once they're out you might miss these last few days/weeks.
ETA: * Start a blog.
Oh, and...
ETA: Dammit! @pintobean77 beat me to it.
Oh well. Nothing I can do about it. I'm in for the long haul and he will come when he comes.
Good luck to ya.
Eta. I'm a tad cranky tonight. But just wait, tomorrow will be worse. All day last minute school shopping?!? Why the eff did I wait so long?
Dear OP,
Also, to the girl who apologized on behalf of the board
Now, give me Joe Mangliowhatever any day.

It's the Irish accent
ETA: As does @brittneyandadam. I love that accent.

DED.
And, I will admit, I've never heard his Irish speak. So, that is a mark towards me not knowing what I'm talking about.
Accents = all the hotness
From Urban Dictionary...
"adj. Ded is when you are dead from joy, hilarity, sexiness, or other great feelings as such.
There is a large difference between ded and dead. Do not confuse the two."
