Guess at baby's arrival

Just for fun: when is your hunch telling you your baby will arrive? Early, late, or right on time? Or no clue? Where does your hunch come from?

I really, strongly feel like this baby is going to come early. My son was born at 38+2, and I can't help but think this one will be earlier... I'm obviously hoping for 37 weeks at the minimum! My partner is betting on October 5th (I'll be 39 weeks) because that's apparently the most common birthday in America. I would be thrilled to bake this baby that long.

So whaddya think?

Wishful thinking, but I want to be a few days early. DD was 10 days late and it was awful. My due date for LO is 10/19. Dh wants me to have him on 10/11 which is his birthday.

No clue. Hubz guesses 10/10 (6 days early) but only bc that's the bulldog's birthday. I hope to be anytime after 10/11 because I'm in a wedding that day and I want to wear the dress that I paid for.

My luck, he'll probably hang out for an extra 2 weeks.

I'm due 10/13 and DH and I on separate occasions have both said he will be born 10/11 at around 7am and weigh about 7.5 lbs. Neither of us knew the other one's guess before saying it to other people, so I'm wondering if maybe it's a sign lol. Call me crazy but I tend to believe in things like that. 8-}

I honestly believe this baby will be here between the second to last week of September and the last week of September.

I'm due 10/7. I get this hunch from the type of work I'm involved in. I still have to lift, bend, and be fairly active at my job.

Early I think. But DH was born on 10/30 and I'm due 10/26. And of course he is wanting me to "hold off" yea right!

I am due October 1st. They are not letting me go to my due date. I honestly think I will go to 38 weeks so some where around Sept. 20th.

This was me during my first pregnancy... my hunch kept changing. First I thought I'd have him early, then around 38 weeks I thought I would go overdue. Baby was just in there doing averages for me, and coming out right in between!

I'm hoping for right on time. If I take maternity leave any earlier, I will have to go back to school for the end of the semester. Right now, I have it perfectly timed to be out for the rest of the semester and start back fresh in January. My DH keeps on saying the due date is 10/17 so he thinks this is a subliminal message that LO will come that day. I'm due 10/16 so one day late.

I would love for my LO to be a few days around EDD, 10/07. But she will probably be a week or so late. I don't have a feeling of her coming early at all, which is probably why I don't have anything ready other than the car seat.

I'm awful and want a few days early. My due date is on a Sunday and I want to go into labor the Thursday before, so DH doesn't have to take as many unpaid days off.

Well, I was going to say early but now I see that just about everyone thinks the same way so maybe I don't know anymore. lol. DS was 2 days early, almost 3. Technicality since he was born in the middle of the night but I labored all day the day before. I have felt this baby will also be a little early because I've felt so much more uncomfortable and she is measuring big, Ideally she'd come after 39 weeks but not more than a day or two past EDD.

DD was two days past my EDD so I am just guessing that this LO may be a few days late too.

I remember this coming up on my first BMB and everyone thought early there too...Most were "late" which is typical!

DS was born at 37.5 so now that I'm mentally prepared for an early baby my guess is this one will make it to at least his due date or later.

I would love it if he was born any time during the first week of October.

I went into labor and birthed each of my 3 at 39+4. It would be kind of cool to keep that pattern, but I'm really hoping to make it to 40+2. I want an October baby. It's my favorite month, and September is my least favorite (I have no sane reason for this).

My SO would probably say that he wants the baby to come early, like in September. Just because theres about ten people in each of our families with birthdays all within like a week of our due date. (10/13)

I'm hoping for right on time but he'll probably be late. My daughter was two days late.

I am due 10/01 and I think I will have her early. I have had this hunch all along. This baby is right down in the birth canal and has been for about a week. Also I have been getting real and BH contractions and they keep getting stronger and lasting longer. Another reason just an old tale, but there is a full moon on 09/09, so if old tales are true then she will be a little early. Of course I hope to make it to at least 39 weeks for the health of the baby.

I'm hoping the baby comes on time. DH will be gone for work until the week before my due date and I really want him there.

ETA: I'm due 10/29 and my guess is the baby will be here 10/24. Everyone around me thinks it'll be way earlier than that, but I have no indications of early labor and I'm thinking LO will be on time.

I'm due October 24, but I don't really have a hunch about when he'll actually show up. DS1 was 6 days late. As much as I don't want to be late again, my mom's birthday was October 26 and I think it would be nice if he came then.

I've been mentally adding a week to my EDD. I was induced at 40+5 with DD and 41 with DS. With DD I had so many people tell me I was so big, I was going to have her 3 weeks early, going over felt like forever. So, EDD is Oct 8, but I'm thinking Oct 17.

SO's nonna believes in the full moon thing. There was one a few days before my daughter's birthday. Apparently it applies to the week leading up to it and after it.

Also, my nurses all said that L&D is busiest around then too. Whether it be false or true labour.

I have no idea but I'm one of the crazy ones who would actually prefer lo to come late. (That's what I say now! Lol) If he's a week late I won't have to go back to work until the week after Christmas. If he comes on my due date I will have to go back the week of Christmas, boo!

I was 2 weeks late when I was born and DH was early and it's our first so who knows.

I have always heard this too. I guess we will find out soon enough.

My first was 11 days past my edd and my second was 10 days before my edd. So I'm guessing maybe this one will split the difference and come on her due date.

Part of me wants her to come early because I had a shoulder dystocia with DD#2 and this baby is measuring ahead. The other part wants her to come later since she is currently breech and I want her to have as much time as possible to flip (yes, yes I know there's still plenty of time for her to flip).

Our due date is 10/19, DH wants baby to come on 10/17 (his dad's birthday), but I feel like she'll be late. I just don't want her to be 7 or 8 days late, 9 days-fine. 6 days-fine. Just not 7 or 8. Because I don't want her to be born on the 1 year anniversary of my dad's death. When he died it was the 26th here still, but the 27th in Israel where he lived. So any days other than those and I'll be happy. Which has me filled with anxiety that she will come one of those days. I will have a breakdown. :-S

I'm due 10/1, baby has consistently measured a week ahead, but I was two weeks late and my brother was 5 days late (not that that means anything). I actually want the baby to be born on or after the EDD because there are no October birthdays on my side of the family. My mom is trying to convince me to do strange things to induce labor but I just keep giving her the side-eye.

My guess is 5 days early (10/15). That was both of my husbands grandpas birthdays and they both passed away last year. However preterm labor runs in my family so I am being very cautious about early labor signs.

I will be thrilled if I can keep her in til 39+ weeks. I would rather go overdue than have her too early...I haven't mentally prepared myself for that!

I'm hoping for around 39 weeks. Don't really know if I have any kind of hunch or not. Went into labor at 39+2 with DD (my first) and labored 2 days before she was born. With DS ( my 2nd) I was induced at 39+4 just because. I was 3cm dilated, 85% effaced and had been having non-stop real contractions every 2-10 minutes for a week and I was miserable. It was a very fast induction once my ob broke my water at 4cm (less than 3hrs) and he literally slid right out.

I am really really uncomfortable this time and would love for him to come a little early on his own. I'm due 10/20. I feel like 39 weeks at least, for his health, but I feel like if he came around 38 weeks completely on his own then he's probably ready. Haven't had an u/s since my anatomy scan at 18 weeks where he was measuring almost 2 weeks ahead. Have no idea where he stands on the charts now but we'll find out at my 36 u/s.

So maybe 39+4 to be just like his sis and bro? Or maybe he'll step it up and help mommy out and come right at 39 weeks.

39 weeks might be nice, because it's looking like DH will have to take that week off no matter what. (Plant shut down for cleaning or something.) But I'm not expecting it. DS will probably be content to stay put for that and then make his appearance immediately after. Which would make things complicated.

My EDD is 10/31 & I'm hoping he'll come exactly on that day. It'll be like a birthday party every year even if we don't plan anything. hahaha!

My Dr has already said she won't let me go past my due date (10/09). LO has been consistently measuring 4 weeks ahead since 20 weeks and she is concerned about his head circumference and my pelvis width. So I'm hoping for a little bit early as I'd rather avoid another induction (DS#1 was induced 3 days past my due date because of my BP).

I am hoping for an early delivery. Not too early but I'm due the 16th and my mom is coming to visit the 15th. I really want to have this baby before then so I don't have to deal with an attitude when I kick her out of the delivery room. Besides she was there for the birth of my first and H and I would like something to ourselves this time around.

She can't come before 10/9 (I'm due 10/16). That is the earliest date I can take off work and still be off until after New Years! I've already had a 'talk' with baby girl and told her I would buy her a pony if she cooperates! DH thinks I'm nuts.

Well, I'm a cheater because I already know I will be induced at 39 weeks. But , I have a feeling he will come on his own between 38 and 39 weeks because my others were 38+5 and 39 exactly.

I'll am guessing he will come on November 3rd since that is my scheduled RCS. I will be 41 weeks.

DS1 was born on his due date but only because of a csection as he was found to be breech at my 40 week appointment. My cervix wasn't dilated and I was not even starting to thin yet so I know he would have gone pretty late if I hadn't had that csection.
