Another late intro

Hi ladies, I know that I am another late joiner. I have been on the bump since July and thought I should finally introduce myself. My DH and I have been married for 5 years and are expecting our little girl October 26th. I also have a 17 year old son....so excited for the challenges of a girl this time (I had no idea that boys could be so drama filled!!!) When we found out we were going to have a baby my DH and I were shocked. 7 years ago (when we first started dating) I went through radiation for cervical cancer. I was told that I would not be able to have any more children. After that news we decided that one was enough and we would have as much fun with my son as possible.....So you can imagine the shock when we were on a family vacation in February when I started feeling pregnancy symptoms. /Sigh I still dream of all of the free alcohol I turned down on that vaca. (We were at an all-inclusive). For the animal lovers of the group we have 2 pups; one yellow lab, a cane corso mastiff and one elderly kitty. I've been lurking long enough to understand the rules and etiquette of the boards. I understand that to get support you need to give it first, if I post for opinions that is exactly what I will get (no fluff filled answers), the difference between sex and gender (not sure who doesn’t know that even before joining the bump) and I won’t hurt the baby by chewing gum, drinking my medium ice capp from Tim Horton’s, or eating the occasional salad with feta cheese.
