Ok... I am kicking this off early since I need to vent. What is your WTF thing from this week?

Warning before reading, this is really gross

DH was sick all weekend. His snoring has woken me up and kept me awake. I've been getting like 3 hours of sleep a night.

I knew dh wasn't feeling well, so I let dh sleep in on Sunday morning. When I went to check on him, he was sleeping on my pillows. Dude, if you are sick, don't use your pregnant wife's pillows. I eventually had to wake dh up because his dad was coming to visit. After I took my shower, in went into our room and saw something on my pillow. It was a humongous chunk of earwax. Just sitting there. It was so big I don't know how he could hear anything. At this point I am gaging so bad and praying I don't throw up all over our bed. I lift my entire pillow and dump the wax into the garbage. Thinking about it still makes me want to vomit.

1 - Contractors are still at my mom's house. They missed being their yesterday since he had to get a permit from the health department for his lemonade stand (kid you not). We found this out after he was over an hour late to arrive at the house. Today it is a matter that he can't seem to paint and is blaming part of the problem on his co-worker or his own cataracts. Of course the boss has not returned my calls for the last 2 business days.

2 - For the past 2 weeks I have been trying to get my mom to commit to dates for an upcoming trip. So of course we are now 3 weeks from our date of departure and the tickets are not booked and now she is insisting on reserving "the good seats in coach" that she has had in the past. Not happening... the flight is so heavily booked that they are not taking reservations for specific seats, but Mom is convinced that the travel agent and I "can figure something out to get the seats."

3 - Just after I got off that set of phone calls above, a performing arts not for profit called asking if I would subscribe to their upcoming season. I politely declined several times since I know I am going to miss half their season. What got me was at the end of the 5 minute call was when they started to provide incorrect tax advice in that they GUARANTEE the contribution was 100% tax deductible. NOPE...not happening. Told them that I was shocked they would GUARANTEE that since there are several different things that could prevent a tax payer from taking a charitable contribution on their taxes. Told them that more responsible organizations advise the would be patrons/donors that it is eligible but that they should contact their tax professional. (Sorry... people with no tax knowledge giving me tax advice is one of my pet peeves.)

I have two

1:WTF DH when you sick I know you want to be snuggled but stop breathing on me! I get sick everytime from you. Not for the hundreds of sick patients I see a week but from you EVERYTIME! Now when you do it I'm pregnant and am limited in what I can take to feel better. STOP whining to me when I am also sick your constant complaining isn't going to help eithier one of us feel better and it's taking everything in me to not bite your head off because you got me sick to begin with!

2:WTF new co-worker. I am training you don't look and me and say do this with the chart and then I'll take them, NO you need to learn to organize your own papers and don't give me orders! Also I don't have time for your juvenille bullshit seriously going to stand in the middle of hall with legs and arms spread out blocking my way to the nurses station I don't have your stupid shit. Also you lucky it wasn't mean that you walked up to and grabbed the bar to lower her chair to floor while she was sitting in it I would have flipped the fuck out. Grow the fuck up get your ass to work and stop talking non stop we have jobs to do. And if shes wondering yes im pawning your training off because I can't stand your ass.

WTF car? How can you just refuse to unlock? I have the key, I turn the key, nothing happens!!!! Blarg. Thankfully DH managed to get the rear window in the wagon part open and we could unlock the car from the inside but that brings me to wTF 2: why are you so easy to break into, car?!

WTF ups/usps/FedEx. Why don't you knock or ring the door bell when you drop packages off? Super thankful the package you left outside in the rain was just a swaddle blanket and not the swing or car seat I ordered. Ugh.

good to know my pup isn't the only nipple biting freak! She's totally done the belly button thing too! I swear she knows someone's in there!

Oh I'm sure in the next few weeks he'll get a kick to the face! He also thinks my growing belly is a pillow. Doesn't bother me too much right now since I have my body pillow, but eventually little man in there will not be too happy about it, lol.

WTF bff bitching at me because I was able to get pregnant and after 1 month of TTC you got your period? Not my fault DH and I are super fertile and it only took us 3 months of trying. How about instead of making me feel bad you ask for advice or just leave me alone. Seriously just because it would be convenient for you to have your baby next June does not mean you will get pregnant the first time you DTD after removing your nuvaring.

WTF I have an ear infection! I didn't even realize adults got ear infections (yes, I realize now how dumb that sounds but I hadn't ever heard of anyone over the age of three getting one). My ear/whole side of my damn face is throbbing. Pregnancy plus weird antibiotic allergies means that I am stuck with less than optimal antibiotics. I really hope they work because this sucks a lot.

Oh! And my DH has to be out of town for work this week so I don't get any down time to actually be sick because I have two toddlers to chase around.

WTF is up with all of these stories about D14 bump husbands being complete douches and assholes? I love my husband - he cooks and takes care of things around the house if I leave a list. He also let me sleep in the bed by myself on Monday night because I only got 4 hours of sleep on Sunday night.

WTF carpal tunnel! I hate the fact that I wake up with sore, sore, sore hands and can hardly move them. I'm not a guy so I can't shake it dry! I need to be able to wipe my vag with my morning pee and it's damn near impossible when I can't move my fingers.

WTF 65 y/o man who swerved over 3 lanes on the highway and crashed into my drivers side door yesterday! There was no reason to do that, why didn't you just swerve slightly and stop?!?! Now I had to spend my whole evening in the hospital getting monitored and my car had to be towed.

On the bright side - thank God I decided I wanted an SUV. Everyone that saw the accident said it would have been much worse if I was in a car. Also, the airbags came out perfectly, my car automatically called 911 immediately and nothing bad happened to me. Overall I feel blessed...but seriously dude - you suck.

WTF, 3 cats? why did I have to come home yesterday to 4 HUGE piles of kibble vomit scattered throughout the living room and one liquid one dried into DH's rug he bought while serving in Iraq? @QueenOfSpades622 I think she is selling "As- Is" because of the roof she was very forth right that it needs an entire new roof BUT the price is very negotiable so I know we can get it at a better price but now its a matter of how to finance with the roof. We are unsure we can even bind home insurance with the roof in that condition. (its a 4 BR, 2ba brick front ranch,Huge basement with a cedar closet and bar with an acre in the backyard, and a BBQ patio complete with electricity to--down side is the roof and it does share a drive with the neighbor next door)

@annonani- we are in a similar situation. Just got the appraisal/inspection report yesterday and the house we are buying needs a shitton of stuff done. Nothing major like the roof, just a bunch of piddley things.

Could you switch your mortgage to a swing style? Where I am it gives you something like 6months to fix the issue after initial mortgage approval, and you'll get full approval after the 6mos. My homeowners insurance will do the same thing.

I know this thread technically ended yesterday, but I have 2 WTFs since then and I don't want to wait until next week...

WTF hubby. I wake up in the middle of the night, and just as I start to go back to bed you let out the worst smelling fart I've ever smelled. I'm used to his gas (he has been farting on me in his sleep since we first started dating) but this one was out of control horrible and woke up up more so it took me longer to get back to sleep. Bleh...

WTF intern. You refer to me as a paralegal? I'm an attorney. Not trying to be high and mighty, but considering I have an office (that you can clearly see since your cube is next to it), and most paralegals don't, why was the assumption automatically paralegal instead of attorney? Nope, went to law school like you're doing now. Passed the bar exam (in 3 states). Attorney.

@AnonnAni‌ - Is it common to sell "as is" in your market? With a bad roof I would be worried about water damage (seen and unseen) and a few other items. In this case I would get both an inspector and contractor out there to check on major items (foundation, electrical, structural, mold, etc)

@argyledogs Well it was a female intern, so I can't even blame sexism. She said it to a paralegal, and I just overheard it (and no one corrected her) so I think she still thinks I'm a paralegal. She will figure it out eventually (I would hope) and I'll just secretly hate her this entire time...

Just to make matters worse, she sat in on a meeting that was all attorneys, and I was there, so she really doesn't have any excuse.

And just want to add, really not trying to sound elitist. I know it's not offensive to be called a paralegal. Just annoyed that she made that assumption when all evidence points to me being an attorney. Like it's impossible that I would be one.
