WE'RE MOVING TO NASHVILLE!

HE GOT THE JOB!!!1!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AYYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYY he was on the phone when I got home from work and when he hung up he said "So, you wanna move to Nashville?" I shrieked so loudly that Willa got scared and started crying. Whoops.

But HOLY FUCK this is happening!

We're talking logistics. U-Hauls, movers, dates, everything.

He'll give his notice tomorrow, and his last day would be September 12th. He'd leave for Nashville that weekend, and start work on Monday September 15th. He'll begin to house hunt, and hopefully get us something for October 1st in Nashville.

Meanwhile, I'll be here with Willsie, working until October 1st or so. I'll then take my time getting us ready for the big move - I'll still send W to daycare, and be able to pack and make calls and run errands and do whatever I need to do. Mid October, we will either hire movers (HOW do you find people who will move you across states?) or he will fly home, rent us a truck, and we'll do it ourselves.

SOooooo much to doooo!! I have to give my official notice tomorrow. (Gulp.) I have no idea who in the ever loving hell is going to replace me. But we have to find that person and I have to train them thoroughly. I love that store too much to just leave it in a rando's hands.

I'm also slightly terrified of solo parenting for a MONTH after the hell that was this weekend. My mom said she'll come down and spend a week here with us, and I'm sure MIL would too. But we may also need to them to help with the actual physical move as well.

But overall, WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I cannot believe this is actually happening!!!

I held my breath as I was opening this thread (I thought someone was going to say that got another BFP) so I was totally shocked to see that the thread was about this! As if I'm not still smiling from ear to ear like a goon, this made me burst out laughing.

He's going to be a Sous Chef. That basically means he cooks, supervises, places orders, and reports to the Executive Chef.

I CANNOT STOP SMILING OMG I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!

But logistically this is insane - they want him on September 15th. That would mean he'd work for 2 weeks, and move that weekend, and then start work that Monday. And Ill be entering single parenthood for a month on my own.

Oh also we have no idea what's going to happen with our current house. I found out that legally they HAVE to try and find new tenants, so they can't just leave it vacant.

We're going to offer to help them find people, and we assume we're going to be paying 2 rents for awhile. We've actually built the full amount (8 more stupid months worth of rent on this lease) into our budgeting for just in case.
