I'm not sure if I'm being overly sensitive, but I'm kind of upset.

DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....

We were roommates in the dormitory residences in our first year of university. We used to be really close.
We've drifted apart a bit since I moved back to BC... But it still kind of stings. I'm trying to 'que sera, sera' this.

Last night on facebook I saw a video of my aunt's reaction to my cousin surprising her. She lives in Vegas now but her sister in law's mom paid for her to come home. Since her brother and sister in law just had a baby, that way she can meet her and see family. Super sweet of her sister in law's mom.
Anyways my aunt lives like 40 miles from me and they were in town for her appointment and they were going to stop at my moms. But of course I had to work. Well sitting here and I see a lady walk in and do a double take. My cousin came to say hi!
She hasn't been home in almost a year!

Glad you like Jack's teacher @lizabethann06 That boy deserves nothing less.
Almost all here are in some level of sick or recovering. DH fever and cold. S has a cough that sounds like what I imagine TB to have sounded like. I am in the early stuffy nose phase, and A is recovering but prob the most healthy.
I cannot wait until the add deadline passes so my inbox is no longer full of pleading messages to enroll and last minute requests for advising from students who blew off my messages months ago.
Baby boy 7.10.13
Done with work. Pretty crazy day. Had a poor matted 5 month old Shih Tzu that was terrified of the clippers. She kept trying to bite me and the clippers. I had to send her hom with just her back have done.
