Yes, @katydid2014 in regards to wifi radiation. There are actually some sites that say to shut off wifi at night in your home but I think it's extreme, so was wondering what other moms have done in the past. Sorry if my post annoys you....
Yeah, @ruemorgan I kind of feel the same. First time mom paranoia has kicked in and it seems like I feel I'm always doing something wrong! That's why I like hearing from easy-going mommy' like you! Slap me back to reality hahah! Thanks chicka!
Haha there was a great thread about restrictions that moms do and do not follow. That settled me right down! Can't remember for the life of me the name of the thread, but hopefully you can come across something similar.
Radiation from non-ionizing sources poses no additional risk to pregnant women vs non pregnant women.
And regarding "some sites say ..." this would probably be a good time to remember that anyone can put anything on the internet. There's no peer review or accuracy required.
@wendyld I only look at reputable sites like Mayo Clinic and I also like baby centre and of course "the bump". Here is the quote from baby centre that got me questioning:
"While you're pregnant, though, you may want to err on the side of caution. That's because experts who've researched the effects of mobile phone use on unborn babies say more studies are needed."
But I find the best advice is from real life mommies who have gone through it. Hence, why I asked!
@katydid2014 wow did I do something to offend people? I asked a question. Geez. Ok convo over. It doesn't help me to feel stupid. Now I'm just feeling anxiety.
Well, another reason to add Babycenter to my ban list. Whatever moron wrote that has a massive misunderstanding of how wifi works. Ever open your computer and search for networks? Find like 10? Yeah..... they're everywhere all the time unless you go squat in the woods for your pregnancy.
Forget it. Edited and erased. Wow only my 2nd post and made to feel like a moron. I'll just read from now on and not post questions....
Questions like these are posted a ton. It's normal to get a little nervous about things at first, but you need to use common sense. You can't escape wifi. And unless you plan to be 100% unplugged for he next 9 months (which isn't really feasible IMO unless you're the type that lives off the land in the mountains somewhere, or are Amish) you can't escape the internet and the tiny bit of radiation. Cell phones have been around for a long time now, as have microwaves and other appliances/devices, and I haven't heard of any alien babies popping out yet.
Also, it's rude to delete your posts like that. This is an honest group of ladies. Bu an amazing support system. Get a thicker skin, take a deep breath, and lurk around more. No reason to stamp your feet and run off.
Listen, nobody called you stupid in any way. At all. We just pointed out that the information that was scaring you may not be from a reputable source.
That was meant to reassure you that there is very little you could do that could harm your baby, and using your phone is not among them. If we can't tell you it's ok without offending you, I don't even know what answers you were hoping for.

No reason to get all huffy. Just take a step back, look at what you wrote, and say "yeah, it was a silly question", and move on. I promise, no one cares that much. Don't waste time being upset.
If it helps to put your mind at ease a bit, I never turned off my wifi and lived in town surrounded by several wifi signals the entire way through my 1st pregnancy. My DD is now a happy and healthy 2 year old
People will always add to the list of things that you should worry about, stress about, etc. Only you can decide for yourself which pieces of advice you will take and which you will ignore. Follow your instinct and you'll be just fine!
This reminds me about the post how you shouldn't carry groceries lol. If you are that worried by a dos and don'ts of pregnancy book. I think people forget sometimes that we are not therapists or doctors. Not trying to be mean but man these kinds of questions are coming up every day now
@meladoriestar You usually have to remember a few key words that were in the OP, google those along with the poster's name and "the bump" and then on safari there is an arrow next to the search result page where you can select cached. There are also other websites that can search specifically for cached pages.
