  @Cagoldi-- that type of behavior infuriates me on so many levels. The poor ducks. How old were the kids to be at the waters edge alone?

  I'm guessing they were brother and sister and looked like 4 and 5 maybe?

  They have been great so far. In the last week he's only had two nights where he didn't sleep all the way through the night. It's a huge improvement!!! Even when he wakes up he quickly settles and goes back down easily.
  
  We consider him night weaned from the bottle now too - we were using a 4 oz bottle as a last resort to help him settle back into sleep but he doesn't need it anymore.
  
  He doesn't swat at his ear anymore. To be honest I didn't even really notice any pain or effects from the procedure, we gave him Tylenol/Advil round the clock the first day, and at night the next day.
  
  He had a cold when the procedure was done and it's already cleared. It went away much faster than any previous sickness.

  I wish I could love tit this more than once. So good to hear how improved he is

  Astin slept till 8am! Also, my sweet niece joined us on the outside today :-) just kicked the fever into high gear...Astin kept touching Payton on her little baby hand. So cute!

  @Sing2phins‌ your posts made me crack up today, we joke that Hayley will get beat up in daycare because all towers must be toppled immediately. She practically twitches if we make a tower as she crawls over to smash it.

  @Mommyxtwo1113‌ thank you! Looking back at some of the issues he had, it makes sense that things would be better now. Although the ear infections were spread out over four months, he's had fluid that was unable to drain from his right ear since April. It's also the time he stopped being able to sleep on his back. We had to flip him to his belly or he wouldn't sleep - not even that he wouldn't stay asleep, he would wake up as soon as he went flat. I'm wondering now that was related to the fluid in his ear.
  
  I can see now how many things were off because he wasn't completely well. I feel so bad for the kid, but I'm glad things are getting better.

  @kimmycup I was there another 20 minutes at least and never saw any parents. The kids took off after I yelled at them but I saw them again on my way to the car. They still had sticks, and I told them it was mean to hurt birds and there were plenty of other people around who would see them and get them in trouble if they were being mean to the animals. They just nodded and scampered off.
  
  @Soozerella Those are some real brainiacs in that group. Wow.
