Every letter is a name. I had a lame email one from the knot. Because I was an idiot. So that's what I can up with. Still not very exciting. It is easily misspelled but I think people say it. Sneg de.
Ok. That makes sense. I was saying it Snegged (rhymes with egged)

May 13 moms, I remember your board because of the mom who made up twins. I couldn't believe that would happen, then it turned out one of the June 13 moms was also doing it. Just not with twins in the hospital.

Wait... Which June 13 mom did that?! Why do I not remember this?!

@CocoMcGee - that was the worst catfish ever. And poor @KateRN08 really tried to help her. We never did figure out who outed her, that I know of.
No fluoridated toothpaste here, but I'm sure we're in the minority with that. After doing some research it's something we've always tried to stay away from. We don't drink water with fluoride, and H and I actually use fluoride free toothpaste too. Just not something I want to be swallowing, or want my kids swallowing.
Just to chime in...I can't understand how people can take the time and make up stories. It is just sad that they have so much time on their hands. That they have nothing better to do but come on a board and make stuff up. It is so creepy and weird.
@crossfit704 born & raised! Sadly I haven't lived there for 4 years as we have moved for dh's job. I grew up near OBX and DH in Charlotte. I take it you're from that way also? We miss it so much!
bishbecraycray Stalking?? I always felt weird about putting information or pictures on here, but can't believe my fears are real! That's also why I don't ever join the FB groups either.
I have one more Q/compliment: @jmhansen11 Is that you in your avatar? If so, I seriously love your hair and want it for my own (in a less creepy way than that sounded).
Thank you, and yes, it is me/my hair in the pic I wish I could say it looks that pretty all the time, but I was fresh from the salon in this pic. You can buy this stuff called "hair chalk", mine is Kevin Murphey brand it you want to DIY
@doribeth851 that's a hard one but mostly anything I can dance around the living to or jam out in my car. I really love Katy Perry and Britney Spears, but I also really love Taking Back Sunday and The Used so mostly anything by any of the above mentioned.
@ElizabethSwann I haven't been on as much lately. I must be popping in in other places at other times. I'll just start tagging you in everything so you must pop in the appropriate places.
@redheaded14 I was born and raised in Boston. Moved to Charlotte in 07' right after getting married and haven't looked back since!! We don't live in the city anymore but not too far away!
Not as much as my husband. I am more redneck by association.
I love mud and dirt. Four wheelers. Snowmobiles. Anything with a motor. If you looked at my yard you would know haha. I have a truck frame, truck cab. We have a huge 74' Ford in the driveway my husband is restoring along with 2 other pick up trucks. I drive a jeep. We have 2 four wheelers, utv, two snowmobiles, 1 working lawn mower and a few not working haha. I love the country. I'm 50 miles from NYC and haven't been in 5 years. Husband is ex army and a designated marksman. We are no where close to like honey booboo territory. That isn't redneck. That's just gross. My husband has always been a farm boy. IL's still do cattle. He is still big into hunting. Time doesn't allow him as much as when he was younger. I think we are pretty typical upstate new yorkers. I like thinking I am a high class redneck.
@clairhuxtable yup! That is my plan. So ready to get some of my energy back post first tri. I also coach so I'm there everyday for that. Unless dr tells me dangerous for me or baby I'm in till my water breaks! Ha
I secretly hope that your water breaks at the box all over someone's shoes while they're complaining about burpees or HSPUs. "Yeah, I'm about to push a tiny human out my ... Tell me again about YOUR whining?!?" haha
I guess not so secretly anymore. And good reminder that I need to get back at it.....

---------------------- DH family is from USNY, too... And I'm an NYC/Long Island girl. It's crazy to me how different things are just an hour outside of the city. His family is definitely "country." In fact, you mention how much machinery you have and I immediately think of them... Add a pontoon boat and I would think you might be DH's cousin!!!
We had one haha.
I was actually born on LI. Moved upstate when I was a year and a half. Raised on a farm. My whole family was born and raised on LI. We own some property even further upstate. If the money wasn't by the city I would totally be I'm the Adirondacks. No question. It is just raw beauty. We went up to lake placid a month ago. Breathtaking. Not that it isn't beautiful where I live it's just different.
DH works in NYC. He hates where it is but loves what he does and the money. Commute sucks though.
@redheaded14 - every time I read your SN I'm reminded that this little raspberry is 9 chances out of 10 going to be a ginger baby. I'm the German blonde/blue but DP is 4 generations of full on leprechaun.

It makes me smile a little. Thanks for that!
My dd is a redhead. I LOVE her strawberry blonde hair. Hope it never changes!
@70point3 fun! I wish I was a natural, died it an auburn red when I was like 18 and never looked back. It is so much better than my natural color and I get creepy compliments on it all time time...like shopping at the mall and ladies stop me to tell me how much they like my hair. I don't mind being an AW about it because it's not like I was naturally blessed with it, I'm like, "Ladies...ya'll can buy it! Revlon 42!"
@RHoPA1109, I also teach middle school LA and you articulated several of the things that I love about it. Are you in a state/school that is moving to the PARCC test this year?
We won't be this year, but it seems to be coming up more and more in conversation from administration. We have shifted to the crappy common core.
My kids got great scores on our state test this past year. I was so happy when the scores came in...and now there's a new test this year. It feels like they keep trying to reinvent the wheel.
Absolutely. It seems like when the kids actually are grasping what the test is asking for, they're like "oh shit, these kids are learning. Better make the test harder to make the teachers look like they suck. Can't ever just be happy with what's going on."
Yes! Our state just did this a couple of years ago to get ready for Common Core. Then they use last year's data (old test) to compare to this year's data (new test) to determine if we've made "adequate yearly progress". Sorry folks, you can't compare apples to oranges and use the results to yank funding or put us on the watch list.

I have some fabulous pics of a girl at our box in labor just hanging out in Feb. We were rowing a 5K and she was in early labor.
My luck it'll break and people will just think I pee'd no the floor. Not that that ever happens…oh wait maybe it has! I spend enough time at the box its 85% I go into labor there anyway.

How do you like your nachos prepared?
I want Kurt Russell's nachos in Death Proof. Yummy!
That is a good answer. A lot of koalas carry Herpes.
