Figured I would start todays. Could you guys help me guess the sex of my baby. I'm really confused should I call the doctor?

Oh and also is there anyone here who is due feb 16th. If your not due on that day I really don't want to talk to you so don't reply. Thanks!

Thanks for starting my morning with a giggle! We have an elective U/S this morning at 8:30 and my toddler normally sleeps until...8:30. I'm not looking forward to going in and waking her up in a few minutes do I'm lying in bed and bumping instead!

I just came back from Canada! It's good to be back! I definitely don't have $7-8 extra a day for a cup of Starbucks there! Every fast food place seems to be double the price that it is here. I was living off of it, which wasn't good for me or my wallet! Lol!! Oh yeah, and I couldn't bump for 4 days because the data in my phone was super expensive to use because I don't have an international plan

Tomorrow is my 16 week u/s!!!! Can't wait to see and hopefully find out the sexes!!

Also yesterday I tried to put on a pair of my jean short shorts and it wasn't happening. I can still get in my regular summer dresses and stretchy type pants, but I might need to find a clearance pair of maternity jean capris or shorts. I might just hold off since fall is just around the corner and I already bought a lot of fall maternity!

do any of you gals have group appointments with your Dr.? my CNM group has 3 group appts., the first being at 15-17 wks to discuss wellness in pregnancy. - per their info packet

"You will still have your normal belly and vitals check before the group session. and, As an added bonus, small group visits offer a great opportunity to establish relationships and
connections to other moms in the same stage of pregnancy"

My weird question is - would you bring your H to this?? My H seems to enjoy coming to all my appts. But, I think this one would be more just women? I don't know and I don't want to discourage him from coming if he wants to, but I don't want him to feel weird being the only man in the pregnant women group if he comes and no one elses SO comes... so what do you think?

Let's start off with last night. I was cooking dinner and my belly is ALREADY catching food. Is this baby a giant or what? Also I had the most vividly morbid dream I wanted to wake up and snuggle my baby. God it was so awful. One more thing... I just LOVE waking up with headaches! Have a good day

Eeek, we just got back from a short lake trip too, MJ was giving me a heart attack since all he wanted to do was run up and down the dock, and did NOT want me near him to make sure he didn't fall into the water.

Oh and my Bday is feb 9th. Is is selfish of me to hope that the baby and I share the same bday? I think it would be so cool. But everyone keeps saying my kid would hate it.

My EDD is the same as my B-day and I'm hoping to share too @schnitz9 - My H thinks it is because I am a twin and have shared my bday my whole life, so I think it is cool and it has never been just 'mine' anyway.

TB comes up with the weirdest anecdotal facts about baby development. So, per my ticker, I now know that at this stage in development the baby is peeing. Thanks TB.

@ChickenOnSunday‌ oh no. Nonono. Pediatrician the DH and I interviewed one on one.. for like an hour. Lol ironically, im not the type of mom to call at every little thing (I don't think I've called 3 times in 13 months).

Oh and they told me at my NT scan the baby then drinks the fluid with the pee. We actually were able to see the baby drinking during the U/S. It was so cool until we realized it was drinking its own pee. Kinda like my dog.

I had a work-related nightmare last night. This is my 8th year teaching. Shouldn't these be long gone by now?!?

We took DD to see the Fresh Beat Band's concert in Raleigh yesterday and she was pretty excited. She was sleepy but she did get to dance and give high fives to Twist and Shout before Shout was mobbed by a bunch of preschoolers. The weather was perfect so we weren't sweating up a storm.

Speaking of EDDs, part of me is hoping the kid holds out until February 15 or 17 (my dad's birthday and my parents' anniversary). But another part of me knows I might be saying, "Get this kid out of me already!" by the time February 11 rolls around.

It's early, but I'm getting stuff done today at work. Imagine that.

Talking about EDDs does it make me a bad mom that I don't want the twins born on my birthday. My brother and I share the same one 2 years apart, so if they shared it with me they would also share it with their uncle. 4 birthdays on 1 day is just too much lol.

@schnitz9 My birthday is also the 9th! Like @MaddScientist, my EDD is also that day.

Unlike you too, I actually hope the baby doesn't come on my birthday! Growing up, my grandfather's birthday was a week before mine, and my step sister's was the day before mine, so we always combined them. Now DH's birthday is 10 days before and SIL's is the week before, so we get clumped together as well. I never got to feel like my day was special. I don't want baby boy to feel that way either. I'm also a little selfish, and want to be able to go away for my birthday if I want. (I am coming to terms with the fact that he's going to come when he comes and we will make the best of it!)

I've been out of college for 8 years and at least once a year I still have the dream that I slept through an 8am final. I also still have the one where I find out I forgot to go to a class all semester and still have to take the final. I don't think they're ever going to go away!!

With EDDs, I really hope this kid isn't too late (due 4-6 Feb.). I'd like to go to Atlanta in March for the women's 7s tournament and we have to get the passport and dependent re-entry letter done before any of that can happen. A 5 or 6 week turnaround is much more plausible than anything fewer, especially because the re-entry letter will take two weeks.

My loving husband made me climb all over the Battleship Texas yesterday. It was like 107 degrees. I am sunburned. It was for his birthday, and he loved every minute of it. It was worth it.

Then we went to CVS and picked out nail polish, and he painted my toe nails.

He's a keeper.

Also, we go to the genetic counselor tomorrow to talk about our positive NT Scan. I am really nervous. I am ready to get it over with too. I am also kind of hoping we will get an ultra sound and we can find out what we are having. I know it doesn't really matter, but I feel like if we are going to get bad news, I would also like some good news and know if we are having a girl or boy.

My midwife practice does this. I'm pretty introverted so at first I was turned off, but I LOVE it now. Almost everyone brings their significant other. My husband likes it as well. We spend the rest of the day afterward reflecting on how (surprisingly) valuable it was. I hope yours is as good!

Aw: DH for a moment

DH went back to school to finish the degree he started before our wedding. He was only 1 semester away but kept saying he never wanted to spend the money on school because of the cost. He decided one day he didn't want to work nights and weekends anymore once the babies came and asked me if we could barrow from our baby fund for school, which is just left over savings from IVF, and of course he could.

And for once I'm not going to school at all this semester, my dad normally pays for it and he said he doesn't like the idea of me being huge pregnant and stressing over school, and what if I get put on bed rest. He is still mad that I am going to work some, I am a substitute teacher so I kinda just work when I want.

So DH and I found a house we both loved on Saturday. We were all set to submit our offer when we found out the school district we thought we were in was in fact, not the one we're actually in. The school we would have to send our kids to is actually in the neighboring town and has a 5 on greatschools.org. (The school we thought we were in has an 8.) I called the district offices this morning and spoke to a few teachers I know and everyone has told me to move on and find a different house.

I'm totally agreement with that but unfortunately DH is not. He doesn't think school is that important. He's insane, right?! This house is a great deal, obviously because the schools suck, and he can't see past that. Also he thinks since this baby won't be in school for six years, the school has time to improve. I think that's ridiculous. Anybody have insight on this situation?

YEP, I have this SAME recurring dream exactly how you describe it, usually I am too late for the drop date and I haven't been to class once. My graduation always depends on the credits.

You dont think going to a C would be too small? I was a C for a long time, and then they just grew to a solid D and I couldnt be more happier. (they are currently DDs)

The grass is always greener, right? I'm contemplating an enhancement once I'm done with breastfeeding this one.

You can def say that again. I'm a 34G. I was a C cup in 6th grade. Not so fun. By the time I graduated HS i was a DD. Got pick on constantly. I would love to go back and be like a C-D that was great except would rather it be now when it was a little more age appropriate.

Boob talk is funny. When I was young and single and skinny I was wearing a 32B. I loved small boobs. They were out of the way.

I can't wait for this kid to come so I can get back into running and weightlifting. I was never super skinny (130lbs at 5'6"), and always had a belly pooch, and after 3 kids, I would totally be ok with that.

I think the same day as you if I remember correctly. August 11th. My doc said it could take 2-3 weeks, but the Harmony website says 10 business days.

I just heard back my results came in Friday.... LOW RISK for everything. Thank god!

@nauticalmama‌ the school thing is a big deal but YH is right that the school will change. That goes for both schools thought so the 5 can quickly deteriorate to an 8 if someone comes in and messes with a system that works. On the upside if the school your child is entering had been crappy for a few years in a row then there are ways to get your child into the school you prefer.

All that being said, we weren't even expecting when we chose our houseand we were adamant about being in a high achieving school zone. In your place I would look for a different home.

DS had been quietly laying on my lap for and hour watching TV instead of going BSC all over the house, he's warm to the touch and is being a serious crybaby. I really hope he's just tired. I don't want to go through a week of a sick, whiney toddler. My anniversary is in a few days and I am really looking forward to a nice family lunch or and swimming at a state park.

DS was born 3 days prior to my birthday. I am happy that we don't share a birthday, mostly for his sake. I wanted him to have his own day.

My boobs are growing out of control and I really need some new bras. I hate bra shopping.

DH is out of town for 2 nights and taking care of DS and dog all alone is hard. I'm so sleepy!
