Bottles of bm on the go

I always nurse when we are out and about bc I never knew how to best warm a bottle of bm on the go. What do you use? I know my little guy won't take cold bottles.

Re: Bottles of bm on the go

  • I've been bringing a thermos of hot water to just stick the bottle in. It usually takes about 2 minutes for it to warm up.

  • I use the above method. Freezer pack for storage, near boiling water in thermos to drop storage bag in. If I don't use it I can throw it back in the freezer.
  • I do room temperature too if the timing works out right; I usually only keep it out for an hour or two.

  • Restaurants will give you a glass of hot water too. Lost our thermos on our first trip out using the bottle instead of the breast.
  • DD will drink it cold or I let it sit out to warm up to room temperature if I can time it right.

  • I used fresh pumped usually if it's only going to be a few hours and make sure it's room temp... Good 4-6 hours.

    If not thermos method.

  • A good tip is if it's just a road/day trip, keep it frozen, you can always pull into a Starbucks and ask for a cup of hot water to heat up your frozen milk. Comes in handy when there is one every other block or so lol
  • I usually just ask for a glass of hot water.  It's never been an issue finding one.
