So we are going to a big halloween party this year and I have no idea what to dress up as.  I do love me some Halloween but I am clueless this year.  Ill almost be 16 weeks so who knows what level of showing there will be.  Anyone have any good ideas?

  • This is rather cheesy, but I'm considering this one.  I'm not that big on halloween or spending money on costumes, so this seems relatively cheap.  I've also seen the skeleton shirts that tend to be popular for halloween.

We plan to announce on FB around this time and I'm hoping to convince DH to do some fall pics together for it.  We also need some good pics for our Christmas cards so that will kill 2 birds with one stone.

  • I cannot wait! I don't think we will be going anywhere. This is our first year in our new home and I can't wait to take DS trick-or-treating. I wish I had some ideas for you. One of my girlfriends is going to be a cow. She will be 9 months pregnant. She's a tiny thing and I'm sure it'll look cute. I would check Pinterest for sure. I'm still trying to figure out what to dress my then 23 month old in.

  • We aren't big on dressing up, but DH and I joked about doing dispicable me costumes- he would be Gru, and DS would be a minion and my belly would be a minion. I don't know if we will actually do it, but it sounded cute.

  • Love the "bun in the oven" idea!! Had a friend who already had a daughter so hubby was a chef, daughter was a cupcake and mommy-to-be was an oven (with a bun drawn at her belly) so it was in the oven. Super cute!

    Never too early!

I want our announcement to be a Halloween themed photo shoot, so I'm trying to come up with a gender neutral halloween costume for baby and two coordinating adult costumes for the shoot. I love the idea of the Wrecking Ball costume. I'm a little disappointed that I won't have a huge belly this year (I'll only be 15 weeks, so probably still pretty small).

I love this idea. I might steal it.

  • When I was pregnant last time I wore a skeleton shirt like what was posted above. At the time I was doing NSTs twice a week so the nurses absolutely loved it. I'll probably wear it again this year, but I'll be showing a LOT less. I doubt I'll be able to coordinate a family outfit (DH isn't much for dressing up and DS is going to be almost two) so who knows how trick-or-treating will even go this year.

  • I'm in the same boat. We are going to a fancy masqurade ball at the museum I'm an intern at. I was going to go as the absinthe fairy but that now seems really inappropriate. It's a Victorian museum so a corset was part off my plan but that's out too.
Being a theater person I have also considered going as a pot bellied jovial British explorer with a big walrus mustache for the sake of hilarity( It's a steampunk themed event) kind of like the end of Noises Off. I'm not sure how conservative my coworkers are our if the reference is easy too obscure.
Halloween is after all the most fun holiday of the year, it's totally not too early!

I have always loved Halloween and I am the gory Halloween type! Thinking for just friends that know me all to well of doing one of those shirts that are covered with blood that has the baby coming out of the belly as a demon! I know sounds odd but as I said I am a full fledge scare Halloween lover! Thinking of something cute too for other ppl to see !
  • A friend of mine did the pregnant nun look. I just did the skeleton tee last time.
