I've been up since 6am, had 2 bottles of water, and I still haven't peed. I'm on bottle #3, but still not feeling the urge. So weird.
I've also been sitting on my butt supervising the rearranging of my room, and watching FI load the last of the items for storage (I think.) Next on the list is hanging out on a park bench with a book while FI grocery shops.
I don't recommend juice to get it up. Do you drink milk? If juice doesn't work the first 15, try milk. And then a balanced meal or snack with balanced carbs.
Maybe a sandwich of some sort on a hearty bread with a reasonable fruit and something else...
OMG guys, why didn't anyone around me tell me that I was growing a beard?! Seriously, I just plucked 5 long dark brown (I'm blonde) hairs from my chin. They were at least an inch long and totally noticable! I managed to escape the fuzzy tummy effect, but got a beard instead (
I just painted all the trim, the door, and the closet shelving for the nursery. All her clothes up to 3-6m are washed and hanging in the hallway closet or in a laundry basket for now. Carpet tomorrow. Hoping DH will do the base trim tomorrow so we can bring in the crib and dresser but I doubt he will. I'm so close to nesting in the nursery I can taste it, dammit!
@PurpleHippo19 I really don't know how you managed to go camping this far in your pregnancy. I went at 24 weeks and haven't been bag since even though we're huge campers. DH didn't blow up the air mattress correctly and I never gave him a second chance.
I don't remember basic activities, such as walking, being so difficult my first pregnancy. Simple walking is really difficult let alone walking up and down stairs which is nearly impossible at this point (and my house has two flights of stairs).
Also I complained to my doctor about my lower back pain, which I thought was a totally normal complaint. So if two weeks of heating pad and a 'sausage' pillow, as she calls it, don't help I am off to physical therapy.
What could I do with my wedding dress from seven years ago? It's been sitting in a box since I had it cleaned and preserved, though, I did open the box at some point so not sure if it's really preserved anymore. It's an awkward shape, doesn't fit under our bed, and takes up a lot of room in LO's closet. Part of me doesn't want to just get rid of it for sentimental reasons. Another part has considered using the fabric for a baptism dress but I'm not sure how feasible that is.
Just a suggestion: Here is an old friend's charity that turns old wedding dresses into gowns for those dealing with a loss of an infant.
All I want to do is nest but I'm waiting on my glider to arrange the nursery...
So I convinced DH to assemble the Halo Bassinest that arrived last week, and now I'm just sitting in bed playing with it. Can we fast forward to October please?
Apparently there was a pretty decent sized earthquake (6.1) about 50 miles from us. People here said they woke up at 3 am definitely feeling it. I slept right through it. :-/
It woke us right up. Shook pretty good for a fairly long time as far as quakes go. DS slept through it, thank goodness. Glad it didn't shake things up in our place!
@PurpleHippo19 that whole story kind of sucks. But, just like the last time with the mud, seems like you stayed strangely upbeat about it all. Way to go.
These "padsicles" seem interesting. I just find it weird that they are already kind of drenched in stuff, and will get more drenched with blood?
Do I take it off when it's no longer cold anymore? Do I put them on after a sitz bath? How many do I need? How long will my hot pocket be swollen down there?
I feel like my kid will never see me because in between feedings, I'll be in the bathroom icing, sitzing, and cleaning my vagina...
@PurpleHippo19 It's barely been getting under 80 degrees at night here! Camping in August just strikes me as way too unpleasant. I've barely been able to stand taking my dog outside to pee this weekend.
Can I just have a Sunday Bitchfest right now? DH went to his parents to pick up a saw from his dad. They live maybe 1 mile away. He can never just go over there, get what he needs, and come back. He ends up staying for like an hour or two. And especially today it's pissing me off because HE HAS SHIT TO DO. He's supposed to be cutting trim for the nursery. Instead, he's over there just visiting (we see them all the fucking time) and now he will either NOT do the trim tonight now because it'll be too late, or he won't finish it because he's wasting time over there just fuckin chit chatting. I've done more in the past two days for the baby than he has. We're going on a 4 day camping trip on Thursday and our time is limited. It pisses me off SO BAD when he does this. Every time he says he's gonna run to the parents house "real quick" I know it'll be at least an hour if not two. I want to punch something.
Oh Sinner. I totes love you. I'd be annoyed as shit too, because really, if your DH just buckled down, the nursery could have been done 10x already. Can you go over to your inlaws and be like...um HELLO?!

Hello!! I would so be at their house to escort him and the saw back home. Tf you think this is? Get your ass in there and fix the trim before I trim your nuts off!
Maybe not the last part...but in theory that line would be awesome!
I'll say to DS some times that his sister is kicking me. Well today he says ouch ouch. I asked what was wrong and he says baby kicking me. I said how can she be kicking you, she's in my tummy. He says ouch kicking my tummy and makes me kiss his belly. Hmm time to explain to my 2 year old that only girls can carry babies in their tummies? And you have to smile when he calls her his baby.
I wanted a hot fudge sundae all day today so I finally went and got one. I ate it, and now my stomach is wrecked. I think they are ruined for me forever.
I've been using the closet in the guest room (now nursery) as my spare closet since we moved in; and it's a lovely closet. Takes up an entire wall, and has installed shelves, drawers, etc... Well, I had to move all those clothes into my closet, and FINALLY hang up all of the clothes on the floor of my closet (I'm incredibly messy, and I haven't worn any of these clothes in months, so I haven't been in a rush to hang them). The entire ordeal took over an hour, and now all I want is a cookie or ice cream, but I can't have carbs. ( (
On the plus side, I found 2 pairs of lululemon yoga pants, and a few dresses still with tags! Who knows when the dresses will fit again, but I'm definitely saving the yoga pants for post-baby!! They'll feel like an unexpected treat!

I text him and asked what was taking so long, even though I knew the answer. He told me not to be mean and that he and his dad were discussing how best to do the jambs on the windows. Then he pulled in the driveway 2 minutes later. I know he may have discussed this with FIL for a minute, but the most part was talking about his parents camping trip they just got back from. Though he wont admit that. He clearly hopped in his truck as soon as I pointed out that it had been a long time. So, he's full of shit. And now I'm eating dinner alone and he's outside cutting vinyl. Weird.
It would be wise of DH to NOT act like a bag of dicks when I am most ragey :-w
Haha right?! You would think they would have learned by now. Dh was way more calm and patient with me my first pregnancy. Now he is just like whatever. Moron.
Not that there's a lot of randoms to catch up on today, but I need to jump the line for a second because I found out today that DH has never seen The Neverending Story. Guess what we're just starting to watch right now?
I've never seen it either. FFSC

We had sex earlier and my bits are still horribly swollen and sore. My gastroparesis had flared up, so my stomach hurts and is bloated. I just feel like I'm going to explode, both physically and emotionally. I have quarantined myself in the bedroom early tonight.

Our out-of-town friends just left our house after dinner/visiting. They have a 2.5 yr old and a 5 month old (if you read my pronunciation poll, the verdict is "Say-lah"). It was really nice to get some advice from an honest friend who has been there just a few months ago.
Her 2.5 yr old got to feel LO kick, and he got SOO excited. Said the baby was saying hi to him. :x
Lastly, my friend put the 5 month old in my crib for about 5 minutes to nap (doesn't bother me, and she asked first), but what I'm wondering...the baby had a little cold...should I wash the crib sheets and put them back on before LO comes? Or figure since it was such a short time, and LO probably won't come for another 6 weeks, it's not an issue and don't worry about it?
I'm that crazy mom that would Lysol the room and probably wash them. It wouldn't hurt anyway.
I'm 32 weeks today!!! Yay!! Hubby says I should pack my hospital bag. I think it can wait a couple more weeks?
I've had a list for each of our bags since about 30 weeks, I plan on packing sometime in the next week or 2 (33 weeks now).
Chiming in late on this. I have had a list put together for about a month now, but DH got a little panicky the other day (after one of his coworkers went into labor 5 weeks early -- understandable) and I let him know that at least there's a list! I'm still planning on waiting a couple more weeks, though, before I actually pack said bag.
I survived my shower. It was lovely and apparently everyone I know has a monogram machine! This little boy got so much today. My mom helped DH and I sort and put everything up. It was interesting trying to follow the GD diet when there were so many sweet treats. I did walk yesterday and it seemed to help my numbers. I did have some cake (I was weak) and it looks like it didn't make my levels get crazy.

I was just about to ask about this and make sure everyone in that area is ok. @TheOtherJacobsons you are in the bay area, right?

oh no, the pancakes not up to par?
I really only order one thing from IHOP, and they were out of smoked sausage so that meant I had to get something else!
It was ok, but not what I was craving smh
