We had guests over last night-- which was very fun and our dogs even had a play date! However, I got to bed entirely too late and slept like poop. Now I'm just grumpy but at least the dogs are still sleeping

My kids start school Monday, and I am having the hardest time getting them to go to bed at a reasonable hour. It has been 8:30 forever, but a trip to New York last week got us all out of sorts. The last few nights they have been up (in their rooms but still up) until after 10. This is so not going to go well Monday morning when they have to get up early. I don't remember these battles in years past, bedtime was just bedtime, but boy are they being difficult!

I need to do some meal planning to have crock pot dinners on football nights this week to avoid the late nights after my son's football practices. That should help, any other suggestions?

Morning. I can't stop crying. Told MH daycare costs last night and that I'm not sure my boss will want me in the fall after 17 yr old goes to college. I still work 10/11hr days. They can't survive w/o me. It's true. I take care of dog and do all the errands.

Now I have to talk with them on Monday. Awkward for me. I've been with them for 20 yrs. Then he said we might have to sell our house to smaller one. I'm crying over their stupid dog that I love and prob only one who does. They are not dog pp.

How do I nanny another child when I finally have my own after IF? Sorry I just needed to vent. I know I'm not the only one with issues. I just feel so sad

On good note I finally have a nauseous free Sat and have a cup of reg coffee in my hand. It's been many weeks!

I feel like I'll be the last person to find out the baby's sex some days. I'll find out Sept 23rd but this directly relates to my inability to seriously consider names. I want to get all name crazy like half the people the here but it seems useless to name a sex that I'm not going to have. I've decided just to keep my mind open while playing video games. That's enough baby name work for me right now.

My husband and I did some preliminary name talk, but we've honestly just tabled it until we know the sex because I agree with you. Why agonize over an entire set of names that won't matter?

My sex scan (elective 16 week) is EXACTLY TWO WEEKS AWAY! I am so excited. After we know the sex, we will work to name it, plan the nursery, and really register! Eeek!

My 16 week u/s is Tuesday!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!

I am super psyched because I went maternity jean shopping yesterday and picked up two pairs (at the Motherhood Maternity section of Macy's, and they're still running their buy 1, get 1 1/2 off sale, if anyone's looking). I never tried on maternity jeans in the store for my first pregnancy because I got hand-me-downs, and I TOTALLY forgot how much easier and more fun it can be to try clothes on when you're pregnant. Everything that's made to be maternity basically fits and nothing pinches, so I was in the (very unusual for non-pregnant me!) position where I tried on five pairs of jeans and they all technically fit, so it was more a choice of which I liked best.

I remember now that late in my last pregnancy, I was picking up clothes at the store to try on that I would neeeeeever wear not pregnant, because, hello, who cares if it's tight in the stomach?!? (as long as it's long enough to cover it, of course!) I'm pregnant, let's show that baby off! Ha, can't wait to get to that point.

Ooh, I didn't see those -- the Macy's I went to wasn't the best laid-out. I kept grabbing some jeans to try on and then finding another small section of them in the next display. Sounds awesome though... now if the weather would just dip ANYWHERE UNDER 80 DEGREES so that I could wear them!

So I am overly excited about newborn photography and all the photos I want to get. I have been doing more planning with that then anything else baby related. I have already been talking to photographers and working on setting things up. I am actually a photographer myself, but know if I take the newborn photos myself they will just sit on the computer.

We woke up to some awesome thinder this morning, but no power so we're in town shopping, eating, and hanging out. Fun!

I'm ready for cruise season to be over. I will get neither of the natal plums off of my plant because tourists picked both of them (before fully ripe) because they "wanted to know what it was". They have also bothered a number of my other plants. We also gat trash thrown into our yard. Why would you bother the plants in someone's garden behind a barrier? I made an older lady feel bad and I'm not sorry.

I think I am the only weirdo that refuses to answer the door when somebody knocks unless I am specifically waiting for someone. I can be sitting in the living room and someone's at the door with my dogs going crazy and nope I'm not getting it. Even if I expect a package that needs a signature I just wait until I "miss" it 3 times and just pick it up at the post office. Even family and friends know about this strange quirk of mine and if they randomly drop by they know to call first. You know what after typing this I feel even more weird lol.

I never answer the door ever. Especially if I'm home alone with DS, which is most days. Leave the package, go spread the word of God to others, go pawn your electric company / magazines / new garbage and recycling service elsewhere.

My downfall is I WILL answer to kids. One Jehovah's witness got me one time cause she hid and all I saw was this kid like 6. Dirty, dirty play in my opinion lol

I hate spending my saturday working
but i guess the double time me and dh are gwtting will go for our crib.

which dh doesn't want to buy until we know the sex. which is stupid because we are going with the same finish either way.

something i found amusing. my batshit crazy mother sent me a package yesterday. in it were a bunch of things but one thing was for LO. it was a thing cross stitched baby comforter.

which i liked. my mom didnt make it though but what kilked me was, my stepmom had cross stitched a comforter for my brothers son of a bunny and my mom made fun of it because it wasnt in their theme.

then my mom sends me the same thing. twilight zone.
