(copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less?
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: I don't have an appointment until 30 weeks, and then will start going every two weeks. We went to get an elective ultrasound on Tuesday night and it was amazing! I am in love with our little girl more than ever and was so worth the $100 we spent. We did find out that she is still transverse, which makes me nervous. Logically, I know she has plenty of time to turn, but I can't stop googling!
(copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I really think I'll be ok with diapers and breastfeeding. I'm a ftm, so I could be totally delusional. I'm more concerned about the lack of sleep and what I'm going to do when DH goes back to work. We'll find out!
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Sunday we are going to register at the hospital and do our tour.
(copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less?
Hmmm...good question! For me my "I got this" moment will be when I figure out how to keep DD happy and the newborn happy at the same time. Also if I can get this LO to sleep in the pack and play so DD can still crawl into bed with us in the morning. When DD was a newborn she would only sleep on me. That isn't going to work this time;
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: It's been a pretty slow week. I had my 1 hour glucose screening this past week and my next appointment is on Wednesday next, so I assume I'll find out my results then.
(copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I've got nothing. I'm fairly confident that I can figure most things out, but in all honesty, I know nothing. And it's scary.
EDD/Weeks - November 15/28 weeks tomorrow! Eggplant
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Don't go back until 30 weeks (September 8th). I do my glucose test that day and then start my 2 week visits!
(copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I'm a STM and my baby is 10 and don't need his mommy as much , so I'll be able to devote almost 100% attention to LO. So I think "I got this"! (I really hope I'm not jinxing myself...lol)
We had an appointment on Monday, and saw her cute little cheeks Baby shower is a week from today. So excited to go home. :x
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less?
This is stumping me! I have never been around newborns for longer than a short visit. I guess I'll say I'm looking forward to breastfeeding... and hope that it doesn't prove to be too extremely difficult. Totally winging this.
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Tired, fat & hungry. I've been pretty uncomfortable all week and its freaking me out. I have way too long to go to be this uncomfortable already!
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I figure I'll be "ok" on most aspects. I'm not gonna lie though, I'm scared sh!tless.
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: My son is obsessed with his baby sister and wants to talk to her/sing to her and touch my belly all the time. He's home sick today and pushed my hand off so he could feel her kicking. lol ~~28wk checkup and 1hr GD test on 9/3. Elective 3/4D u/s on 9/9!!
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I feel like I've got most things down, since I've done it before lol. This will be my first girl though and every baby is different, so learning her is all I'm feeling the opposite about.

EDD/Weeks: 26 Weeks / Lettuce Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Had an ultrasound to check my cervix on Monday and everything looks fantastic, so less of a risk for PTL at this time. My next appointment will be Sept. 4 (where I actually get to see the babies and meet with the doctor). I will be doing my GT at that time, too. Was complaining about lack of movement yesterday, and then kept up all night by baby feets jabbing into my cervix/bladder/whatever they could find. Apparently they are night owls.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less?: WHAT!? I'M GOING TO HAVE NEWBORNS IN LESS THAN THREE MONTHS!!!??? *panics* Honestly, I don't feel like I have any "I got this" moments. I know nothing. This is so far outside my comfort zone, you don't even know. I'm just hoping what people tell me is right and I'll figure it out.
N14 Nov. Siggy: CELEBRATION!
TTC since 2011
Aug. - Sept. 2013 - dIUIs = BFNs
January 2014 - IVF = 3 freezer babies
March 2014 - FET of AA and AB blast = BFP! Twins!
Nov. 7, 2014 - Wilhelmina "Willa" Suzanne (4lb 14oz) and Ari Jose (6lb 4oz) were born via CS
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: No baby appointments until next week. I did go to the dentist yesterday. I was nervous about it. My gag reflex has been rather sensitive this pregnancy, so my tooth brushing has been cut short a lot and I can probably count on both hands how many times I have flossed this pregnancy. I was also nervous that is would start to gag during the cleaning. However, it went OK and I don't have to go back until my next 6 month cleaning.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I have never spent more than a few hours around babies so there really isn't anything I feel very confident about. However, I am not too nervous. I can handle this. What I do have is an absolutely wonderful husband who is really supportive and great with kids.
Hi guys! I keep neglecting this change partially because I'm always on mobile and I can't see my siggy or ticker. I hope it's okay to jump right in!
EDD/Weeks - November 14th - 28 weeks today! He's the size of an eggplant!
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: My 28 week appointment is in an hour, it's finally time to get the rhogam shot :-S LO has a middle name! David - named conveniently after both grandparents, choosing a first name is still kicking out butts.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? Changing diapers - I really enjoy it! But, that's pretty much where all of my 'baby taking care of' confidence is.
EDD/Weeks - 10/31 30 weeks! Feels like a milestone.
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: I was measuring perfectly at my last appointment and have to start going every two weeks now. We are starting to stock up on a lot of baby stuff with the gift cards we got at our shower--I now am the proud owner of a playmat/baby gym, bouncer, pack n' play, Diaper Genie, and a ton of clothes. Crib is next!
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I'm probably the type that most would consider overconfident, but I just don't see the point in worrying about something you can't control. I've educated myself as much as possible and am really just more excited than anything.
Symptoms/updates/appointment s/aw/baby news to share:starting to get tired again. Entering 3rd trimester! Passed glucose test. Next appt sept 2nd.
What is your one "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? Knowing that I won't have a so to help. That's ok I am at the point where I know I got this. I'm ready to love the crap out of of my little sunflower.
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: I passed my 1 hr GT test with a 108, and was told to get some donuts to celebrate. No sign of pre-e, and my weight was just where it needed to be. Great appointment for me this week! I now start every 2 weeks, and found out I get another u/s at 35-36 weeks to check things out.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less?
The only thing I'm really worried about is keeping DD and Artoo happy, like @venussapphire said. I remember all of the newborn care from DD (and she's been preparing me for multiple night wake-ups for the past 2 months), so that doesn't worry me too much, but throwing in a toddler is going to make it a whole new ballgame. She's such a momma's-girl still, and I'm really afraid that she's going to start to hate me and the baby when he comes out!
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share:
GTT came back as "Normal Glucose Tolerance," but only by one point, so I'm trying to manage by sugar intake on my own until I meet with my doctor in another 2.5 weeks. But now everything thing I see is about cake, so that's not helping.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less?
The only thing "I got" is clothing. I will learn as I go with everything else, but this kid will be very well dressed!
And hey, guys, can you figure out what song is now stuck in my head? Thanks @crizz13
EDD/Weeks - Nov. 1-30 weeks! Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Feeling so huge already! Like an elephant is sitting on my chest (copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I'm not really worried or anxious at all. I feel like having my third boy in less than 4 years has prepared me for pretty much anything!
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: This week I saw and felt my belly moving from the OUTSIDE! That was pretty exciting. Also as of today I'm down to double digits- 99 days til my due date! ahh!
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? Hmm I don't know if I have any! I've done a ton of babysitting in my life so not too worried about diapers, etc., but kind of terrified (and excited, of course) about everything else!
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: 30 Week appointment on Monday. We have the nursery pretty well pulled together thanks to a visit from my mom! Our child birth classes start on 9/9. I think I over did it walking yesterday. My lower ab muscles are a little sore today. Carrying a 3+ lb weight in my belly must be catching up with me :P .
(copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I don't know that there is any part I feel like I got this, but I know I am able to handle a situation that arises and I'll freak out about it after everything is taken care of (Example: cat scratched DH. I looked over and he had his hand over his eye and blood was running between his fingers. I got him cleaned up, called the doctor, got him cat scratch medicine. The next day I had a complete crying jag, after it was all ok). All I can hope is this skill works in my favor as a FTM.

Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: I passed my 1 hour glucose test - yay! And my baby shower is this weekend. So I'm really excited about eating al the desserts at my shower.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I just cleaned out our entire apartment. So, at the moment, I'm feeling really good about being able to fit an extra human into our small space. :-bd
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Tummy is getting heavy and sore. Always have to have it propped up with a pillow when sleeping. Still having heartburn but nothing much else going on. Next apt will be Aug 29! No Aw's yet. Still on DH to hurry with the nursery. All the furniture is here just have to finish cleaning and paint
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I feel that I've got some of this lol I have been around babies forever and have always been comfortable feeding, bathing, dressing, changing, playing with.... I am mostly worried about the full time mommy gig, sleeping enough, breast feeding and labor/birthing in general
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Nothing much to report. Appointment is next week Friday. Now one baby is head down and the other transverse forming an L shape. Now I can finally tell the two kicks separate.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less?
Having twins is a total different experience so I really have no idea if my STM SKills will help. I definitely got the nursery down pack and a place for them to rest their head and they won't be in need of love! Praise God for that!
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share:
Passed my 1 hour glucose test this week! All my other bloodwork was good, too. I'm carrying a lot lower this week and finally look pregnant as opposed to super-bloated. My only real complaint at the moment is that I'm not sleeping very well. I don't know if it's pregnancy or the fact that school has started back and my schedule was thrown off.
Hospital tour on Monday! We're really excited about it.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I don't know shit about newborns. Or babies. Or small children. But I do work with older kids in a job that requires a lot of flexibility and improvisation, and the only thing I know is that I will be capable of adapting and adjusting when necessary. I'm sort of going into this parenthood thing without a plan.
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: A lot more of the same, but the most uncomfortable thing is the difficulty breathing which is occurring more often than not these days. I don't know how I'll manage the next 11 weeks if it's already this bad! I have my last monthly on Monday then I think I go every two weeks. I am hoping at some point to get a new U/S, but then again if I don't, it means everything looks great Oh and I am getting excited about my baby shower at the end of the month, it sounds like my friends are putting together a very special afternoon for me, every time I read their email updates I start tearing up.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? NOTHING!!! Only thing thing I'm not worried about is that I'lll love this little guy more than anything as I already do and can't imagine my heart being any fuller. All the rest, well, there's the space issue, finally ok with fitting the baby in here, but what about my mom or MIL or whoever is coming to help? I was going to tell them to not come but then EVERYONE tells me that I will need help so I should have someone here at least the first month. Also, scared as I know nothing about babies other than being the cool aunt that holds them and plays with them but hands them back at the first sign of any issue... eek, Instinct will kick in right???
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Did the 3 hour GTT today. Should have the results early next week. Praying I pass.
(copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I'm so laid back that I'm not overly worried about much and know we will figure out the rest so I guess I feel like I've got most of it. But I'm a FTM so I have no clue what I'm in for!
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share:
Been feeling really uncomfortable the last two days. Had my weekly US today and both are breech. This is the first time that's happened. Guess that explains all the cervix and vag shits that have been happening. Can't sleep and super uncomfortable. God that sounds negative! Super excited they are still in there. My shower is next weekend and I have NO idea anything about it. Nursery is painted and my houseguests leave tomorrow so I can get the furniture moved out, carpets cleaned, furniture setup.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? Gear, clothes etc. I'm really up to date on that. Also not scared about diapers. Scared about everything else
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: Oh, the near constant movement. I both love and am deeply wearied by it. Sweet little warrior princess, would you kindly not jujitsu my ligaments? Other than that, holding up pretty well! No SPD/pelvic pain (KNOCK SO HARD ON WOOD), unlike my previous two pregnancies.
(copied from the Wednesday girls since I can't think of something this morning) What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? The value of experience, I guess. Although even first time around, I was pretty "hey, it'll work out." Feel pretty comfy with BFing. I have a Moby wrap and feel completely content with the idea of having baby strapped to my body nonstop for the first... however long. 3-4 years. That wouldn't be weird, right? Um. I'm pretty blasé at this point about all the various baby weirdnesses, such as weird poops and strange noises. "Enh, it's probably fine." Annnnnd I have a five-year-old helper monkey who has already agreed to fetch diapers and bring me things and keep his three-year-old brother occupied (granted, some of the time this will probably be them engaging in fisticuffs, but I'll take what I can get!)
Symptoms, updates, appointments, AW, baby news to share: I failed my one hour GD test, had my three hour yesterday and will find out the results on Monday. I'm really hoping I pass. We also had our 3d ultrasound after the test and little girl was being so adorable. I've attached my favorite picture of her.
What is your one (or more) "I got this" thing about having a newborn in 3 months or less? I definitely think I got the diaper thing. I've changed a ton of diapers in my life. Everything else, I'm planning to role with the punches.
