~O) to you @lancomechica! Sounds like a busy and long day. Hope it goes smooth for you.
Up again with G. Poor guy is all stuffed up from all this teething garbage. He has always been really good with medicine and even excited. Not so much this past week. Fights it like a crazy badger.
@econmama When DH and I toured the fitness club Tuesday, I thought of you when she showed us the spinning classroom. It sounds like fun but pretty intimidating as I'm not in great shape.
My kid has been up since 3:30 because H is so loud any time he moves. Grrrr.
It makes my ragey how loud my DH is. When he moves it feels like an earthquake. Liam sleeps a million times better when DH crashes on the couch.
The little dude work up with a cold today. He's fine but his poor nostrils. He thinks wiping the boogers over his face is hilarious. He should be fun in public.
Pickle woke up an hour earlier than usual crying and was inconsolable for about 20 minutes. I cuddled, sang, offered her all the foods she likes, rocked her, got the cat (her bff) involved, and nothing helped. I don't know what the matter was. She's usually all smiles when she gets up.
I wish I could type this with invisible text so it'd disappear and I wouldn't jinx myself, but...
My child slept from 9:15-7:05 this morning with ZERO wake ups! I woke up at 5:30 and my throat hurt, not because I'm getting sick but because that's the longest I've probably slept in one position for the past year. I assume I was on my back with my mouth open in a glorious slumber ALL night.
I resigned from my job of 10 years yesterday! I asked a while back to work 4 days a week instead of 5 and they said that wasn't possible, so I've been stewing on this ever since. I will likely be coming back as a freelance editor, as needed, but it won't be a steady job. Otherwise, I'll be staying at home with my little man. Perhaps I'll get a P/T job? The possibilites are endless. I'm a little nervous but excited.
So glad to be off today with my guy. He might be a tad crabby with teething but he's still pretty cute. Not sure what we're going to do today for fun. I know during his nap I'mmaking a blueberry pie =P~ If I have enough time, I'll be making blueberry jam too.
Hugs to the sick and teething babies and their mommas!
We are painting two rooms in the new house (bedrooms). DH said it would take two evenings. Tonight is evening number 3 and the second bedroom hasn't been started yet. *sigh* I see an all nighter on Friday night so that we can move on Saturday as planned.

Wow! I remember you were saying the other day you were thinking about doing it, congrats!

I'm still annoyed about something that happened yesterday. A mom of kids maybe like 5 and 2 rolled her eyes at me for not letting Pickle eat stuff off the ground in a picnic area that kids at the summer camp that also plays there had just been eating in. She has several nasty food allergies - so of course I don't let her eat random food. Boo judgy mom.

She's ridiculous! You did the right thing. MIL thinks I'm too over protective b/c I wash a toy if P drops it in a public place (doctor's office, store, etc). Sorry, MIL. I don't want my kid contracting some ridiculous disease.
We are already home from the hospital from getting tubes. I was worried that Ben would be hangry, since he couldn't eat or drink, but he did so well and he is now sleeping. Here he was right before he went back.
Any of the Mad babies have any kind of rash? McKinley had a fever on Tuesday night and developed a rash yesterday, mostly on his face, but also a little on his body. I'm wondering if he picked up something at the museum on Sunday?
Nothing here...hope he's better soon though!

Home from the cottage again. When Alex woke up at 4:50 this morning I was so confused. I couldn't figure out why it was so dark. Why wasn't there any light coming off the lake? It took me a couple of minutes to realise I was home.
So I'm an hour into the four hour self-cleaning cycle on my oven and I just realized I left the racks in there. Is that a big deal? Ugh. Mommy brains strikes again!
@econmama@lauraB1016@Stacey099 spinning is a great workout, even if you're not in shape. When you need a break you can kind of just slow it down and take a breather (I mean you're sitting anyway!). When you feel comfortable adding road biking to your mix is a great way to change up the scenery. Getting up on a weekend and biking to breakfast is a great motivator. You go do it because, hey, bacon! Then when you're done it's the only way to get home so you get back out there.
I'll say it again: Padded shorts! You can pick up a good pair for about $40 (my more expensive shorts actually suck more). And no, you don't wear underwear with them. Sounds dirty, but you don't want any extra stuff in there to rub around.
Off to the gym... It's so much harder now that summer is coming to an end and it's about time to start preparation for operation winter hibernation. There as a lot of "tion" in that last sentence.
In the winter there could be times where I don't even leave the house for days, it's too cold. I know VA is a lot less cold in the winter than other places where some of you all live but it's still cold. I'm going to have to get my butt in gear this winter, though. I'm sure Haddock won't appreciate being cooped up. Maybe I'll send him to @lizabethann06 's for the winter
Any good ideas for things to do with cantaloupe that aren't just dice and slice? I don't really like it, nor DH, but we have 2 from our farm share. Zucchini I can transform but canteloupe? Stumps me.

No rash here and G is pretty sensitive. Maybe it was something from sitting in the grass? Hope it heals up fast!
@HannahAlex Maybe sell the tickets and use the money to do something closer?
Last night at dinner, G made a realy goofy face and then dropped his spoon in an odd fashion. DH laughed with his head tilted back. The rest of the night, G would laugh and throw his head back. ) It was so cute.
Well, now I can't go to the gym because my sister called to talk to me about crap that she always calls to vent to me about. I love her to death but she seriously needs to do something about it if she wants me to keep feeling sympathetic
Anybody else feel like a ghost hunter listening to/interpreting a disembodied voice recording when LO is babbling? We have decided shes trying to say her name, sissy, fetch (DD claims that one), cheese, and a few others. The more you think she "says" something the clearer it suddenly seems

ETA: And, he slept that whole time in the crib!
So glad to be off today with my guy. He might be a tad crabby with teething but he's still pretty cute.

@Melissa4637 Congratulations!!!
Co-worker brought in coffee. Her voice normally drives me up a wall but today she is on my good side! :-)
Day 1 trying to swap bottle for sippy. So far sippy is hit with milk in it. We will see how she feel about it when the bottle doesn't come after...

Healthy baby dust to all pukey/booger-smeared babies - even though Liam seems quite happy with his boogery status
I don't drink coffee. Tastes icky and smells icky. However, I have gotten used to taking a nap right along with Feli during the day.
Not going to happen at work.
MOAR coffeeeeeee (while holding my nose and gulping it down)
