Love all the nurses! I'm an LPN at a Pediatrician's office, weighing my options of getting my RN in the future since it could possibly make it easier to schedule around Hubby's schedule as a firefighter/paramedic (who has 3 jobs LOL)
I'm an LVN at an outpatient clinic (wound care), trying to weigh my RN options as well. Never thought I'd be a nurse, this is my backup plan but I love it.
Wow a lot of nurses! I am an ER nurse. Is anyone else as terrified as I am of catching something awful while pregnant?? I was recently exposed to meningitis and TB (this being the ER, I was exposed before we knew what they had, so didn't have isolation yet), before being pregnant I would've shrugged this off as it happens on a weekly basis (especially in triage) but now that I'm pregnant I'm so paranoid!
I know how you feel about the paranoia! I'm a wound care nurse and my DH makes me worry about it all the time.
I'm a Client Care Specialist for a staffing agency in my city. It's....interesting. I went to school for Social Service Worker...and this is one of the fields, although I work less with the people and more because of the people...which I don't love. Maybe a change will come after this LO
I'm a Tissue Technician at a tissue bank. I process cadaver tissue to be used for transplant. If you've ever gotten an acl repair or spinal fusion using human bone allograft tissue, my job is to clean and produce those specific tissue grafts.
TTC #2 Since October 2013. Annovulatory so not expecting much! Waited to finish breastfeeding before using Clomid again. August 2014: Clomid round 3 (50 mg) and progesterone (100mg) - BFP!
New rule. You can't post in this thread until you've read it all from page 1 to the end.
I tried I got to page 3 and was like, "well good for you, I'm glad you aren't a professional couch potato". By page four it was, "HOW MANY STINKING NURSES AND TEACHERS CAN THERE BE IN THIS WORLD?" By page five it was, "forget it I won't post, eh I'm a rule breaker"
I am a SAHM of twin boys that are two and a half, and a baby that just turned one... Yes I know my kids are extremely close together. There is an 18 month gap to be precise. It was planned. And yes I might be crazy but I love my kids.
Wow, there are a lot of qualified women on here! I'm a licensed ship captain (100-ton), and recently got a degree in anthropology with a minor in history. I've been working on using my winter free time to write, so we'll see if that goes anywhere. While my boss has insisted I can have the baby in the wheelhouse, I don't know how I feel about juggling passengers, boat, and baby. Seems a little too exciting...
I'm a former NICU nurse and now an informatics nurse (aka "computer nurse"). I help develop and maintain the electronic health record for patients at a hospital.
I manage a western store that my dad, brother, and myself own!! Last week was my 1 year anniversary of being owner but the store has been open for almost 6 years!
I'm a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. I do the initial exams and decide meds, treatment etc. For all incoming patients, which are coyote and smaller mammals and all non raptor birds. It is crazy busy but I love it!
Re: Occupation
