T's & P's please! updated

My Dad was feeling awful today and went to the hospital. They found he had a tear in his aorta and had to take him to another hospital for emergency surgery. The last update I had was that he is out of surgery and in recovery but no other details about how it went or anything. I guess making it through surgery was the first big step! Update: thanks for a the T's and p's ladies. The surgery went really well but what started as a small tear turned into a ruptured aortic aneurism. The dr was great and totally saved his life! His nurse said in 30 years she's never seen someone do so well after a rupture. If all goes well he will be out of the icu tomorrow! I'm just trying to focus on the outcome rather than the what ifs at this point. All these squishy babies are a great distraction so keep'em coming!

Oh my! I'm sorry to hear that and am praying for your Dad, and the medical team caring for him.

And big hugs to you. When my Dad was having some health issues a few years ago, it was hard for me to not be there all the time and not have all my questions answered right away.
