What are you doing? Just waiting for AF to leave

R/R/CS: My last 2 cycles have been super wonky. AF came on Saturday and was nonexistant yesterday and is back today!

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living? I supervise a shift at a manufacturing warehouse.

  • I'm pretty sure that I ovulated yesterday, so I am moving over to the TWW thread. Good luck to all of you in your FWs! Much love.

@swimmergurl1105: I'm glad that you're feeling better today.

  • @Budders12 Days like this make me wish I drink, I do have plenty of ice cream waiting for me though :)  I'm glad you have your grandma to talk to!

@GHStarfish I teach all grades 9-12 but mostly freshmen. We start mid August and finish before Memorial Day. Some schools started last week. When does your school start?

R/R/CS: I woke up at two this morning and could not go back to sleep. I've been on zombie mode all day!

What are you doing? PNVs, temping, OPKs, green tea

R/R/CS: over this cycle. Bad bad timing. Glad that DH is feeling a little better today finally.

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living? I am a Floor supervisor/inventory manager at a vet clinic.
  • Cycle/Month: 5/5

    CD: 13

What are you doing? Green tea, temping, started opks yesterday, and of course sex.

R/R/CS: Just happy to be at a point in my cycle where I feel like I can do something to help this process. I hate CD 1-12 and the TWW because I feel like there's nothing I can do.

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living?

    I'm a veterinary technician.

    @shmurrow06 I'm so sorry about CD1

@YogiKC0519 Ugh sucks that dh wants to put it off for a bit, maybe he'll change his mind in time for this month.

@Trickyjedi yay for CD1....it seems so weird to type that. FX that this is the cycle for you.

@jennycam I'm so sorry, so very sorry.

Wine&Cupcakes How do you temp on nights? Does it mess up when you wake up for the morning one day and wake up for the night another? Nights confuse me at the best of times.

Nights screw me up big time. I work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. So Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday day I temp mid-afternoon. I don't sleep well so I set my alarm to wake me up in the early afternoon to try and catch deep sleep. It does mess everything up, especially if I O prior to a string of nights, like this cycle. It makes it hard to pinpoint exactly which day I O'd. On the days I don't work night I temp at 6:15am and those temps are fine. I think I O'd Monday but I know my temps for tues, wed and thur will be elevated no matter what so then it becomes a matter of waiting until Friday morning at 6:15 (after sleeping all Thursday night) to see if my shift was sustained and I did, in fact, O, or not. We just keep up EOD to ensure good timing no matter what.

  • @ShellyR‌ - I'm so jealous! I changed careers to become a nurse but if I could do it all over I would be a doctor for sure!!! I still go back and forth but I figure being 30 coupled with the fact that I would pursue a specialty versus primary care, it wouldn't be worth it given the time I would practice and the 300k+ debt. Who knows...maybe after kids in a few years I will go for it....I hear whispers of an NP-MD program being bandied about and I would certainly partake of that ever happens!

@WineandCupcakes, 30 isn't too old! Especially if you have all the pre-reqs (organic chem, physics) out of the way. PM anytime if you you have questions :)  I absolutely love my job. Best of luck with your career and with TTC!

And, PS, nights/shift work are the reason I wasn't temping until this cycle. They can really mess with the system.

    Edit: to add the PS.
