I'm kind of a newbie, but can I kick off today? :) I'm up early for work and I don't see one yet!

Cycle/Month:

CD:

What are you doing?

R/R/CS:

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living?

Edit: because I'm a dummy and used the TWW format instead of WTO, doh!

What are you doing? EOD, temp/chart, preseed, PNV...going to do pineapple core after O

R/R/CS: I would like to BD tonight since I'm getting closer to O (although I think I probably still have at least 5 days), but DH was a super grump this morning so not sure it's going to happen. I'm also going to be away for 2 days next week, which FF says should be my fertile week, so not happy about that.

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living? I'm a CPA. I don't love it but it pays the bills!

What are you doing? All the things.

I have a question regarding pineapple core: It is supposed to help with implantation, and the recommendation is that it be taken up to 5DPO. But if implantation "generally" happens between 7 and 10DPO, shouldn't the pineapple core be taken up to then? I realise pineapple core is mostly anecdotal. However, I love fruit, so I see no harm in eating it ;)

    R/R/CS: Nothing much.

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living? I'm a social worker.

What are you doing? Well hubs bought me some pretty racy lingerie...so let's just say we've had some really really awesome nights the last few days. If we can keep it up this week maybe (hopefully) something will come of it.

R/R/CS: none. I'm in a pretty good mood today.

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living? I'm a consulting engineer and project manager. Trying to convince my boss that as much as I love travelling, I'd rather stay home with my family.

Usually hang in the waiting to do something thread - but if it's okay with you ladies I am gonna hang here for a few days. :)

    Cycle/Month: 1/3

    CD: 74

What are you doing? Temping, CM, Sex whenever we feel like it/when DH is not traveling for work

R/R/CS: Either my body is doing something or I am just going BSC. May need a day or two more to decide, lol. EWCM again this morning and pretty significant right lower quadrant pain since yesterday. Have a few other symptoms that I noticed and didn't think anything of them until reading TCOYF last night. Just going to try to be patient and keep charting. If I'm finally doing something, great - if not I still have to ride it out.

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living? I am a PA in cardiovascular surgery but I am actually in the process of switching fields to Urgent Care. I'm very excited - CV Surgery is pretty high stress and a lot of call, and Urgent Care should be a great change :)

R/R/CS: This is when I hate having a completely unpredictable cycle. I never know when I'm going to be in my FW. My OPKs have just been that gradual fade-in/fade-out, never a full blown positive. What I would give to have one of those completely predictable 28-day cycles that I see posted about on a regular basis. :)

What are you doing? attempting to do all of the things.  See below.

R/R/CS: Pretty sure i'm going to O today at some point.  I had -OPK yesterday morning, +OPK last night, and another +OPK this morning.  Last month i only saw 2 +OPKs before they went back to negative.  My temp was only up about .2 degrees this morning, so i don't think O happened yesterday.  I think it will be early today.

After my +OPK last night i figured i'd try to have sex, even though we had also done that on Sunday night...and H had performance anxiety.  He apparently can't take the pressure of knowing that we HAVE to have sex during the FW to get pregnant.  So now he's a mess.  We tried again this morning and failed.  We may try again tonight.  Don't know what else to do, other than stop telling him when i think i'm going to O going forward.  Though it will be hard to desguise that fact given that i will suddenly want to have sex like 5 days in a row.  We'll see how it goes.

    CD 2

Rant: okay, so 79 days after I stop birth control, I get my period yesterday. Was expecting it to be epic, and it was very light. In no way could it be spotting, it is definitely a period, but again, light. Like what you'd expect on day 3 or 4. My temps have dropped to cover line. I am concerned that a light period means my uterine lining isn't getting thick enough and the egg won't be able to implant. (I have not had a non BC period since before my c section and was worried about scar tissue). I email my OB about my concerns, expecting her to tell me it's prob fine and wait and see what next period looks like, and her stupid nurse emails me back to take a pregnancy test. I specifically SAID it is definitely a period! *This* is why the Bump sees so many posts regarding negative tests but are insistent they are pregnant.

R/R/CS: My boobs are sore, which is what usually happens a week before AF.  I am not optimistic about this cycle, for whatever reason.  And DH is leaving Thursday for a bachelor party/weekend and I'm whiny about it.  It's not that I don't want him to go, it's just that this is literally the first time that he's left me for a few days since we moved in together....over 4 years ago.  I believe I need some wine and a pity party, lol.

What are you doing? PNV, temping, sex, green tea, lots of water

R/R/CS: My DH decided to close his business this week and "relax" at home. I decided to use some holidays and take Wednesday, Thursday, Friday off to spend some time with him. We had discussed which days would be best and everything. I made a comment last night about how excited I was that today was my last day of work for the week and he said 'Oh yeah...about that...I've made other plans.' I wouldn't have used my vacation if I knew he wasn't going to be around...or I would have made plans with friends or something!

I am the mother to 40 adults with addiction issues...I work at a residential drug and alcohol rehab. I take care of all the medications, all the food, all the appointments, getting them proper ID, taking them to the doctor...always busy...but i love my job.

R/R/CS: Hoping we can keep up the EOD pace this cycle. When I told H we were starting EOD today he said, why not every day? And I said, because the last two months when we started ED, you basically ran out of gas after 3 days...so I'm thinking we should pace ourselves this time. So, we'll see. This is my first month really temping so I told him we could potentially be at this for 5 weeks. I'm not taking any chances missing my FW!!

I just wondered, is it okay to temp when I actually wake up, or should I temp when I am first awoken by his alarm? I feel like my temps were really consistent this week, but I keep reading you need at least 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep to temp. What do you think?

  • @callybekk I always take my temp the first time I wake up, regardless of the time or reason.  That way, if I go back to sleep and get a wonkyass number when I wake up at my "normal" time, I have a temp that I'm confident with using.

However!  I know with some women, the time of day is more important to consistent temping than the amount of sleep.  Try a bit of both and see what works best for you.

@ramaholic yeah this morning my temp was much lower thank the last three days after I woke up with his alarm and went back to sleep so that got me thinking about it a little more. It is also technically my first day after AF so that could have been part of it too. Temping is still new for me so I will just have to see. I'm hoping that shifts are still shifts as I get closer to O and the TWW.

    @mipcy1 I know!

    ETA thanks! @emilie818

What are you doing? Sex EOD/ED, OPK (but I don't think they are working), BBT also

R/R/CS: my OPKs faded in and out over the weekend and I'm wondering if that meant that I ovulated over the weekend but was too hydrated to get a full positive? I haven't seen CH on FF but I'll wait a few more days. I also had impressive EWCM yesterday so I'm wondering if O is still on the way. I wish your eyes would turn purple or something to give us a better sign...oh well, sexy time until a BFP or AF. Trying to keep it spicy :)

GTKY: im a SAHM of two incredibly funny and challenging kiddos and a wedding photog on the weekends.

What are you doing? Temping, PNVs

R/R/CS: I had a slight temp rise this morning but I think it's because I slept like shit. Waaay to early to O.

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living?

SAHM, but I have my master's in social work and used to work in a hospital with NICU/Peds/L&D. I had a love/hate relationship with my old job and I think I need a career change when I go back to work someday.

What are you doing? sex, OPKs, charting

R/R/CS: My husband "caught" me looking here last night and said he hoped I wasn't getting obsessive about this. I totally am ;) but really it's all in the name of science. I'm curious to see exactly how my cycles work with temping and OPKs and all that stuff. I love the numbers and facts. It's fun, I'm not stressing yet. Plus I don't think going into it with as much information as you can possibly have is a bad thing! What if I O way later than I thought I do and I've been timing all wrong? It's helpful to know.

GTKY: I'm sure this one's been asked here before, but since I'm new & all - what do you do for a living? I'm a travel agent. During slow season this job will transition well to work at home motherhood. During high season? Eek.
