Gerber Prefolds 6 ply v 3 ply

They are on sale at my local babies r us and I was wondering what you all thought of the quality of these prefolds. I am all set to buy Green Mountain prefolds when I saw these. Opinions? Yay or nay?

    Not for use as a diaper. If you want something cheaper than GMD, check out the selection at Nicki's Diapers. Great quality, much less $.

    Yeah. They both suck as diapers, but they're great for a bunch of other things.

    Our Gerber prefolds are used as spit up rags.

    I love my GMD prefolds!

    Not necessarily.  They really are great burp rags.  But technology has come a LONG way since gerber.  So that's about all they are good for.

    They're also good as dust rags, for waxing or rainX-ing your car windows, they're pretty good to put down under a wiggly baby during a poopy diaper change, they're reasonably good at keeping a baby clean & dry whilst eating if you don't have a bib.  I've even used one to sop up coffee that I spilled on the carpet.
    They have LOTS of uses, but a diaper isn't one of them.

    Once they have been washed several times they are great for EVERYTHING around the house. Just not really diapers. I just them to clean our touch screens and mirrors, nothing works as well.
