Something amusing to brighten your Monday

So my husband is oblivious to almost everything childbirth and woman parts related. He used to think my cervix was where his penis went during sex. Seriously.

Today my doctor was talking about the possibility of inducing if I make it to 37 weeks (medical reasons) and brought up prostaglandins. She mentioned that they are found in sperm but can also be applied at the hospital directly to the cervix. (He now knows this is inside my vagina but his penis doesn't go inside it.)

DH says "can we just have sex to get it to work?"

She says "yes you can try but it may not work because it isn't as concentrated as what we use in the hospital"

He replied with "well I really don't want you putting another mans sperm inside my wife. I mean who do you even get it from?"

Needless to say there was silence, my face turning red and the doctor just looking at him with a creepy grin before she took it down to a kindergarten science lesson level for him.
