  When we took ds on the train this year, he was pretty good. On one ride we had a table, so that was nice. I brought a little bag for him on all of our trains/flights that had some little new toys (target dollar section for the win!). Flash cards were a surprisingly big hit. Lots of snacks. And when all else failed, a few favorite cartoons downloaded on the phone/iPad worked well.
  He also liked those Melissa and Doug water pen coloring books.

  MH is sick with a stomach bug and fever, so I'm hoping he takes a sick day to rest. There's an inspection at his work so I'm hoping if he has to go in, it'd just be for a couple hours.

  @rvasc‌, he did not sleep in his car seat at all! We took a trip throughout Europe this spring, he was 19 months at the time. The only way he slept the entire trip (planes, trains, etc) was laying on my shoulder. I totally thought he would sleep in his car seat, but no dice. Unless you have a ton of space I might just skip it and give him the room to move around instead

  I really need to get my ass back on the workout wagon. Ive been dealing with some ungodly mood swings/pregnancy rage type moodiness and I cant even stand myself sometimes. My patience is almost non existent sometimes....I feel awful for my poor husband andDS.
  
  I'm hoping to God that my hormones go back to normal after the baby is born bc I'm terrified that I'm destined to be grumpy and bitchy forever. It makes me sad sometimes and I'm so hormonal with this pregnancy that I dont feel like myself sometimes.

  Hi, sleepy people! I personally slept terribly too and was late to work because one side of my shirt collar was flaccid and I decided at the last minute I absolutely had to iron it or my day would be ruined.   I understand this struggle well. Half a flaccid collar would absolutely have ruined the day.
  
  Then the shirt would have felt bad if you chose a different one.

  @atomiccountry, mine did that starting around that age.  When he got mad/frustrated he would bang his head on the floor or the wall.  It went on for a while, but he doesn't do it anymore. 
  
  The doctor said it was pretty normal and that he probably wasn't strong enough to really hurt himself.

  I've been avoiding looking at my bank account because it hurts right now. I just looked and it wasn't as bad as I thought but still. We did almost nothing this weekend and still managed to spend almost $300 since Thursday. I mean.. some of it was groceries but not a lot.

  Yeah, he asked what about clean underwear, and I told him if he was so short on underwear (I did all clothes last Wed.), then maybe he should just go buy himself new ones until we had means to wash them at home.

  My boss came in fuming again today, literally (perfume overload) and figuratively (bitching about everything under the sun).
  I am this close to telling her to build a fucking bridge and get the fuck over it.  Stop bitching about things you totally could have fixed and wouldn't have been an issue if you had gotten off your lazy ass and dealt with them.  Instead you let them fester so now they are a problem and you are bitching about them.  Shut the fuck up!
