39W4D here. No real signs of labor. It is sad how excited I get when I start to feel crampy, thinking something might be happening and then I get disappointed when it all goes away.

After a night of heavy cramping I am still not in labor

I do think it is coming though. I don't know if having things that I want to finish is influencing anything, but I am finishing the last of what I need to get done today. Also, I know DH has a lot of stuff that has to be done at work today. I think we will both feel more ready for baby this afternoon.

Other than all of that, I might be getting my test results back today...so negative and an induction will likely be scheduled for 40w2 next Monday, positive and I will be induced tonight or tomorrow. And I can still go into labor on my own...so this baby is coming soon!

Been having the odd 30 second contraction here and there.... maybe one an hour, or less... nothing to write home about.

Words cannot describe how done I am. I am sooooooo done.

41 weeks today.

I have a bpp and apt in an hour and I'm so hoping they'll cement the induction for tomorrow. I'm so tired and I just can't sleep anymore! I just want baby out.

Does anyone else feel like your hips are being pushed out of socket now that baby's head has dropped down?

39 + 3 here. Still no real sign of labour coming my way. Felt crampy all night and some tightening which only caused some insomnia.

I'll try and get a nap in later.

Not really.

this is the 4th time in the last 6 weeks she has "dropped" only to have her disengage and move up again. I'm not really holding my breath that she'll stay put this time.

@tamarar5‌ I hear you on the hips. I had to sleep propped up last night so I didn't have to lay on my side and hips. At times during the day it feels like she burrows into my pelvis and the pressure is intense. I know it is a good sign, but I have had those symptoms for a while now.

39+4. Kept having contractions last night, then I went to bed and woke up this morning still pregnant. I don't mind the fact that I am still pregnant but it's all this teasing. Oh, you're having a bunch of contractions tonight could be the nigh. Psych, just kidding.

39 +5 and appointment in an hour, so they can tell me I'm still pregnant. I've given up trying to figure out what is going on with my body. I'm especially bitchy/ jealous like a 5 year old today because one of my friends had her baby last night. She wasn't due until the 29th. Wah!

A. Have the new baby between the hours of 7 am to 6 pm, so that we can send them to childcare and have MH pick them up.

C. Drive myself to the hospital and have the baby by myself....awesome right?
So *solid* plans are in place here. We had SIL and then a back up plan, and the back up has backed out (she's bringing her DD to grad school this week....which is great and all, but don't offer to watch our kids in that case, she did offer up her 12 yo granddaughter as a replacement....erm, no thanks), and then SIL has backed out as well
I'm sad that I don't have any family (aside from MH and my own LOs), and I worry that my bad feelings are keeping baby in

Ug! I have been there! Unfortunately, it's a good thing this baby is late, or we wouldn't have had anyone to watch the kids. Best laid plans, right?

Fingers crossed that something works out quickly!

39 +3 here. Long miserable weekend. Saturday got down to contractions every 4 minutes for over an hour. Went into L&D - and they got one contraction in an hour. I wanted to scream and cry at the same time. Got sent home and felt crappy yesterday and really bad this morning.

To top it off DS woke up this morning with a horrible cough, sour throat and fever. Just flipping great - he start's school in four days. I am so freaking done.

1. Lots of crampy goodness but it's leading to a while lot of nothing so far... I can't read into it anymore.

2. I'm trying really hard not to be upset with this one relative that called us at 10:00 PM last night to ask how I was doing. WTF?! You will know when we have this baby- you are family.

3. @zoegirlTX I feel your pain. I feel so sore when I sit for too long. I hobble out of chairs. Doc told me it was because the baby's head is rubbing on the pelvic bone. And really, that's what it feels like. It makes all the tissue between it sore from the grinding. Who knew grinding could be so unsexy? ;-) But I felt like crap all weekend and laid around a lot. It's not me at all and I want to enjoy my weekends. It just wasn't enjoyable.

4. 39 weeks+1. My mom has never made it this far in any of her pregnancies. The bright lining in this is there are still no stretch marks. I'm not sure how that happened. I have stretch marks on my hips and boobs from back in the days.

39 weeks + 2 days.... lots of cramping and shooting pains down my legs. Hoping everything ramps up into labor.... a girl can dream!

I actually have just discovered the boards in general, so I hope I'm not intruding with my post. I'm 39 wks today, appointment at 4PM - with a new doctor. There are 9 in the group, so I've never seen this Dr. before - so love putting the hooha on display for a new doc. Fingers crossed he is more open with sharing information than some of the others. I really feel like I have to ask some very specific questions to get any type of info other than "Everything looks good. Keep an eye out for water breaking, blah, blah" Could we get a little more in depth with the progress? Next steps? I wouldn't know what effacement was if I didn't read about it on here. I am not a doctor - I do not know these things.

Generally, I feel like garbage today. I slept on the couch, which is more comfortable at this point. My hips have really hurt most of this pregnancy, so today is no exception. Being at work is a double edged sword as it keeps me busy but I just don't feel like doing anything because I'm anxious about the baby and when and where and all that. I can't complain that I've had a difficult pregnancy because I have not at all, and I am very thankful for that, but I feel like within the last week my entire body is in a state of misery. I have been so far removed from period cramps, that particular type of throb was welcome addition over the past week. Though maybe it's a sign we're going somewhere, but who even knows at this point.

Thanks for indulging me and hopefully not being a pest coming in as an unknown.

39w today.

Not going to lie; since Doc and I picked the induction date, I'm crossing my legs and just suffering for the next 11 days, because I REALLLLLLLLY want her to come on the date I've picked. And yes, the date selected is convenient for delivery and for our kids and family.

Saturday night, I have some serious pain that I could have SWORN were contractions (lower than BH, more where my uterus was, but it felt like one, long continuous pain with minimal release), and I almost pissed my pants in fear, because of work!!

So, while this sucks bollocks, I've got some things to wrap up here at work, so STAY PUT BABY!!! 11 days. 11 days!!

But...I'm still miserable as flock. *sigh*

This is kind f how we feel. Our hospital is 35 minutes away, but in traffic it can be more than an hour. There are several colleges close to the hospital that make traffic just awful with freshman move-in...so we feel like I will start labor at the worst possible time traffic wise. DH and I have talked about it lots and unless we are dealing with the middle of the night, we can't wait for 5-1-1 this week. DH says we will just sit in the lobby if they aren't willing to give us a room.

I was having what could be contractions over the weekend. It was similar to the lightening crotch I've been having for the entire 3rd trimester, but it was more intense and came all on its own without me doing anything to cause it. DH kept asking me if they were contractions and I honestly have no idea. They hurt pretty badly, however. But, baby was moving around during them, so I have no idea if she was just causing me pain, or if the contractions were causing her to react.

I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll be pregnant forever and I'll have to suffer through my entire last week at work. At least I only have 4 days and 7 hours left of working to do.

38w3d today. I still have some time but I am ready. I am super crampy and feel run down but I think that's because I was in a wedding on Saturday and it was just too much at this point. I attempted to dance the baby out but that didn't work. It was actually painful last night to sit, only laying down relieved the pain, so that was new.

This is my last week at work so I am looking forward to some quiet time before baby comes and not having to set an alarm. Oh and lots and lots of walking.

I'm 38 weeks 5 days. I have had some tightening which I think are BH's. Besides that nothing. I have been peeing more frequently at night though. I think last night was about 7 times.

39+4 here. Had my midwive appt this am. I am 1-2cm, 60%. She tried to sweep my membrane the best she could but said baby was still kinda high. So far, I feel no different so I doubt it worked. I have surrendered to this pregnancy and the fact I may go all the way til Sept 5th (42 weeks). I have a chiropractor appt this afternoon to help my hips. Just wish all these teasing contractions would develop into a pattern.

40+3 here. I've been extra crampy and uncomfortable for the last couple of days, but so far nothing has come of it. I think I'll take a long walk today in case it helps.

@zoegirlTX‌ and @YoginiKiki‌ ditto. I feel like I'm broken! Why won't this baby come out?! I also go back Friday, for u/s. As long as everything looks good I won't be induced until the 27th. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. I really don't want to be induced. ..yet It's nice to have an "official" end date even though right now it seems like a world away!

Have either of you talked about inductions?

@Kiley820....for me induction is bad news given my health issues...I go to the Doctor on Wednesday to do a NST and fluid check...they will schedule the induction then. I am hopeful that I go before that....but if I don't I will hope for the best and trust in my doctors (who I am lucky enough to absolutely LOVE) I am nervous though....and cranky.

@YoginiKiki‌ I remember you saying that now. ..I'm sorry! Hopefully it won't come to that. Sending you good labor vibes (although I'm not sure I have any. ..but I'll try!)

I dropped a lot lower yesterday. I was kind of shocked when I looked in the mirror at my profile. I'm still having lots of pelvic pressure (the worst when I roll over or try to get up from bed) and cramping (usually in the evenings and at night). I'm hoping for some dilation at my appointment on Thursday.

In a similar situation to @yoginiki, @herecomesthesun, and @zoegirltx. Not dilated as of last Monday and 60% (or so) effaced. It could have changed by now but honestly, I doubt it. I normally have appointments Monday/Thursday for NSTs (existing high BP prior to pregnancy, but controlled by meds) and I am glad today I don't have an appt till tomorrow because I honestly don't really care about being checked at this point. It really is ironic to me that I've had so much monitoring because of BP, yet it's more stable now than ever. But I guess that's an ideal outcome, so far.

I have random bouts of contractions/BH, and some cramping- but nothing significant. I wake up every morning and tell DH, "I feel too good to have a baby today." Don't get me wrong, I'm sore and definitely have developed a waddle, but I just don't feel absolutely horrible. Weekends are easier to occupy myself but work days I really seem to dwell on when labor will start and it's frustrating. I hope I can continue to distract myself until something happens!

Is it possible baby is flipping? I know that isn't very likely at this point in time, but who knows! Could be a lot of other things though, some of my most uncomfortable moments are after meals or if I eat too much and I feel like I will burst.

I don't think so. I can feel her head right up under my boob. I know it's a tight squeeze in there kiddo but I can't get any bigger

I am angry and tired today. I was up all night with CTX taking my breath away, coming every 8 min, not closer together but increasing intensity. Wasn't sure it was enough, but on call ob said to come down, second baby, we'll check.

Zero change since Friday. And CTX naturally died out in the 10 min ride to the hospital. So I had 6hrs of a steady pattern, got zero hours of sleep and Nothing to show for it?! Screw you, prodromal labor!!

on the plus side (?) I went into work an hour early, to catch a nap. Boss found me half dozing in my chair and sent me home to sleep. So I did that, and no painful intrusions to my rest today. If they come back again tonight I'll be furious (unless they mean it this time!)

So did you develop the rash? My Ob ruled out pupps because I don't have the rash, but I certainly have the itching. Has anything helped the itching? Of course, I still haven't gotten the cholestasis tests back yet.

This is me also. I haven't dropped at all either and this baby is sitting awfully high. And I've got someall the time puffiness in my feet so I'm just trying to keep them propped up for as much of the day as possible.

God, I remember when "getting lucky" meant a shared bottle of wine and doing the bedroom dance. I'd take labor over that all day now. That's the saddest thing in the entire world.

39+2. I've had a back ache and been crampy today, so I hope something is starting to happen. But I'm currently hanging out on the exercise ball and everything has pretty much stopped, so I'm not getting too hopeful. I do think she's dropping though; lots more pressure in my crotch today.
