Shower Hostess Gifts: with or without card?

Just wondering what your thoughts are.  I was planning on including a thank you card in my hostess gifts, but then wondered if I should wait in case I want to also thank them for their shower gift to me to mention that in the card as well...?

    I sent them thank yous after the shower. I included everything in the one card.

    I sent mil a fruit bouquet from edible arrangements. So her regular card was given to her separately. My sil & BFF were given bath & body works gift baskets with the cards. ?

    I gave my MIL and SIL wine gift baskets with a card at my shower. But, I am also writing separate thank you cards for the gifts that they gave us.
