Welcome to the September Sweet Peas Check-In!!! Check-ins will be every Tuesday & Friday. Your check-in leaders are @Justone13 (Tuesday) and @ChristieH917 (Friday).

This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF/IVM or FET with an ER/ET scheduled for September. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below. Please include what cycle number this is for you, where you are in the process, when you expect to start stims, and when you're planning on retrieval and transfer. (Also, please update us along the way!)

Thanks for setting us up, @ChristieH917‌ ! I am on FET #1.

4 weeks from today we will do our first (and hopefully only) transfer of 2 beautiful blasts! Lupron starts tomorrow.

Looking forward to the group and happy to see it's so big!

AFM... This is IVF #2 for me, but I have yet to make it to ER. I am currently on BCP and hoping to start stims about September 13th.

My first IVF cycle was going ok. I was under responding, but I had 4 good sized follicles. I was told that I was ready for ER in a few days assuming the bloodwork comes back good. I was super excited, but then I got the phone call. My estrogen was way too low so my cycle was cancelled.

3 tries and I got my badge to work! Yay! I'm still on the Androgel/Estrace, and I have an appointment for an endometrial scratch coming up next Thursday. Fx to all the sweet peas.

This will be IVF #1 for us. I started bcp on Wednesday, will start Lupron on September 2nd and will hopefully have ER around September 22nd.

@ChristieH917 - Thanks for getting this all set up! I'm going to wait to add the cute badge to my siggy - until I know for certain that I can cycle. My CD2 bloodwork will determine that - which should be around 8/25. But, we have our IVF class Monday & will get the meds ordered!

Checking in for september. Just coming off chemical pregnancy from FET #1. I go in for monitoring for FET #2 as soon as AF arrives. FET most likely 1st week of sept.

Me: 33 mild PCOS, Polyps removed (no scarring)

DH: 39 Lazy sperm

Furbaby

4 or 5 IUI's with clomid - BFN (lost count at this point)

IVF#1- (ICSI) BFP on 5dpfresh5dt. Heartbeat 120 @ 4weeks! M/C 9 weeks, 3 Days. Natural miss-carriage. No tests able to be done. Heartbroken.

IVF#2 - FET. 2 beautiful day 5 blastocysts. BFP on Beta only. Negative on all FRER. Beta #1 - 6.2. Beta #2 - 7. Conclusion - Chemical Pregnancy. ~X(

As you noted, this my first FET (well, second attempt at first FET).

I've been on Lupron 10units for over a week now, and I hate it. I'm *STILL* waiting on AF. I've been cramping like a monster since Sunday, so I really don't know what's taking so long. Rawr.

HELLO LADIES!! I am beyond excited to get this party started!! Wahoo!!! So as @ChristieH917 mentioned I'll be the second check in leader and I am sooooo excited (first timer!!) This is IVF #4 we are doing a freeze all cycle in September with a (hopefully) October FET. I'm looking forward to meeting the new ladies in this group and catching up everyone else!

I will be on IVF#4. I am currently on my last week of BCP, with my last pill on 8/20. I am on an Antagonist protocol for low responders. This is my first time on this protocol, but the good news is no Lupron! My past IVF cycles have only retrieved 4 eggs, which meant nothing to freeze.

Hello Sweet Peas!!

I am doing my first FET! I start Lupron Monday! I end my BC on Thursday and hopefully AF comes quickly!! We are set to do the transfer on 9/15! I received my meds last week, so it finally feels real!! Can't wait to share this journey with all of you! Sending baby dust to all!

super excited to get started here! Thanks to @ChristieH917 and @Justone13 for being our leaders.

@emmuffy: GL with endometrial scratch.

Most days I'm optimistic and amped up for this FET, other days I'm worried it won't work. But, at least for this cycle I've had so many more positive days than negative ones. Small victories, right? Lupron started Wednesday. So far so good. I was told yesterday at work that I'm more snarky. Snarky is better than mega-bitch though so I'll take it. Still on BCP for a few more days.

**Lupron question: nowhere on the 2 wk kit does it say to refrigerate the lupron, nor did it come in a refrigerated bag from Freedom Fertility. But, the lupron fact sheet from my RE says to refrigerate it. Thoughts on that?

Hope you don't mind I'm lurking because I'm not sure what month I belong in yet.

I talked to the pharmacist at freedom and they told me the lupron doesn't have to be refrigerated. I think some brands do but not that one. He also said it's only good for 28 days from the time it's opened. Good luck!

@kittenmittens9 - My RE and pharmacy did not say to refrigerate. It just made sure to note to keep in a cool dry place. I just have it in my bedroom.

Pintobean39: thanks for the info. I didn't know it was only good for 28 days. I think I'll come in just under that at 26 days.

My crazy has lightened up a bit since the first 3-4 days of the drug, but now I've got pretty serious insomnia. My cycle has been unusual these past two months - I had a 39 day cycle, and now I'm at CD32. Obviously, these are NOT abnormal by any stretch of the imagination, but it definitely seems like my cycle is starting to change. I'm over it.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for leading the check ins @ChristieH917 and @Justone13 !!

I'm in my first IVF cycle, starting Lupron and Dexamethasone on Monday! Last BCP is Wednesday- yay!! We're anticipating my retrieval to be the week of September 8th, and transfer will hopefully be 5 days from then! My RE says they want 5 day transfersm best case scenario.

Looking forward to this cycle, and getting to know the rest of the September ladies!

Wow lots of ladies in this group!

FET #2 will be in September, though I'm not sure exactly when. We will see if my lining cooperates this time. I started prep with estrogen this week (no Lupron this time) - and will probably need Viagra to thicken my lining again. Guess we'll see how it goes! We are also doing CCS testing prior to transfer this time, which adds a whole new level of anxieties. Aah.

This is IVF #1 for me, most likely with ICSI due to post vasectomy reversal antibody issues.

It was IVF Christmas for me today as I received all of my meds in the mail today. So many needles! My med teaching is next Friday and I start stimming on August 23rd. My ER and ET should be some time the first week of September.

Glad to see such a big group and looking forward to lots of good news this September.

Hi ladies! I'd like to join!
On OCPs now, after having to take a break after having severe OHSS / disaster / hospitalization / taps with ER in early August. Finally had AF and am now on OCPs, waiting for my next AF hopefully first week of September. Then I'll be starting estrogen and will hopefully have my first FET at the end of September. I know that a FET cycle is nowhere near as bad as the cycle I just did, but after what I just went through, I can't help but be well...terrified.

Thanks for stepping up as group leaders @ChristieH917 and @Justone13, you guys rock. I'm looking forward to getting to know some of the newer ladies and it's nice to see some familiar names (although I'm sorry we're all still here!)

I slapped on my first E2 patch yesterday so now I just wait for Day 1 to arrive in the next week or so. I guess I'm excited? We chose a new RE with a top notch lab, not to mention the practice has much better SART stats. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sitting here feeling like "this is the ticket!" but after some questionable dealings with my former clinic, I am ready to trust the outcome of this cycle and whatever plan comes next.

Hi ladies,

I'd like to be added to the group please. It is very likely that I'd start my second IVF (with ICSI) this week. I had my pre-AF spotting yesterday and bad headache today, which means that I'll have my AF tomorrow. As long as my baseline goes well (i.e., no cysts), I'll start my microdose lupron protocol this week, with a potential ER on Sept 2-3.

Hello! I'd like to be added please. This is my 2nd IVF (though first one was 2011). Started BC a few days ago and will start Lupron at the end of August. ER is scheduled around Sept. 19. Can't wait to get started! Get luck to everyone!!

I have been MIA for a few months because I was trying to distract myself from all of the worries that come with IVF, for that I apologize. I PROMISE to be a lot more active from here on out!

This is IVF cycle #1! I am supposed to start stims on August 27th. My ER should be between September 17th-22nd and my ET should be between September 22nd-27th.

I am still a little scared about this whole IVF process, but I am stubborn and I will get through this lol! Oh and by the way, I love that our name is "September Sweet Peas" because sweet pea was my mom's nickname for me when I was a child. It makes me smile!

Crossing my fingers that we ALL get our dream babies!

Hi Ladies!..

My Name is Jessica - yesterday we started stims for IVF number 4 I usually stim for 11+ days so i'll be having my ER and ET in September

We're doing an Epp/Antagonist protocol. With lots of extras added in (heparin, intralipids, the estrogen itself etc)

I am gearing up for FET #2. The transfer date is scheduled for 9/18. I have a saline sonohysterogram scheduled for tomorrow (not looking forward to that). If everything checks out, then I will start Lupron on Wednesday.

Hi @ChristieH917

We're going to be doing IUI instead. DH's #'s went up substantially, so that's what the RE is recommending. This time though we're doubling up my Letrozole, and introducing Puregon injections. We could still end up doing IVF in September though if I overstim - which I don't know why, but I am convinced is going to happen because on half the dose of Letrozole, I had 2 follies for each IUI, I can only imagine doubling the letrozole and adding FSH injections is going to make a heck of a lot more!

I am crossing my fingers that I will get to be a Sweet Pea. It all depends on our potential egg donor and if we indeed have a match. At the moment, the plan is to wait for her baseline testing to be redone, and if we're pleased with the results then we'll be cycling in mid-September. She should be getting her period any day now, and once that happens she will go on the pill and get her baseline testing done.

For now, you can list me as a Sweet Pea, but please change me from IVF #1 to IVF #4. Technically, this would be IVF #4 with OE IVF #1-3 behind me and this being the first DE IVF.

@SweetieShellieH Good luck with the IUI!! If you over-stim, your chance of multiples increase substantially. I don't know that they meds will increase your follicles, but I would guess the doctors are just making a back-up plan.

@kittenmittens9‌ it was the most painful thing I've done in this IF journey. There is some anecdotal evidence that it helps with implantation. At this point, I'm willing to try anything.

@Sigh202: were you awake for yours? I had to be completely out for mine because I am a huge weenie. I'm sorry it was so painful. The night of mine I had terrible cramps that kept me up half the night but other than that my pain was tolerable (I still have slight cramps now here and there). I didn't know they did more than one, perhaps I'll have to ask about that if I have to go through this again. I hope that it proves to be helpful for you!

Unfortunately, I'm delayed until October. My beta is still positive from my last miscarriage (D&C was June 19th). My next check is on Friday but it is too late to start a cycle prior to our 3rd anniversary trip scheduled for mid September so we will have to wait until we get back to start.
