What are your thoughts on finding out the sex before you give birth? Call me old fashioned but I kind of want to wait! It's one of life's great surprises. I'm kind of on the fence though!!
We will be finding out but we are doing a gender reveal party for family and a few friends so it's still a suprise for us but we just get suprised earlier and can plan accordingly.
Absolutely finding out. We did last time and we had a really special moment at the a/s together.
I am glad I found out last time because I had complications during labor and an emergency c section where I was heavily sedated. I missed the moment he was born. I am glad I had the special moment 20 weeks earlier.
We didn't find out with DS and I loved not knowing until he was born. We may find out this time, mainly because we are going to be building a house soon and I'm trying to organize/declutter our current home to prepare to sell it and I'd like to get rid of the 9 plastic tubs of boy clothes DS has outgrown if there is no chance of reusing them!
We were team green last time and loved it. We intend to do things the same way this time, neither of us particularly like overly gendered room themes anyway.
We were team green last time... DH is dead set on not knowing again this time... but I think I might sneak a look. I want a girl so bad that if it's a boy I might need a little time to adjust to the idea.
We won't be finding out! My husband would love to but I have always wanted to wait. Plus we don't want a strictly boy/girl nursery or clothing or accessories as we plan on having more than one child. TEAM GREEN in APRIL '15!!!

We found out with our first but still bought all major items (stroller, car seat, etc.) in black in order to use for a second child...painted his nursery in pale yellow too...just because you find out the sex of the baby you don't have to go crazy getting everything in the color typically associated with that sex.
I can wait but my husband wants to find out. We have two girls and a boy already. Usually I am the impatient one but the tables have turned so I guess I'll give in to him.
We will either wait, or, if we don't, we'll do a gender reveal party. We found out before and have botha boy and a girl, and have mostly gender neutral baby gear. But, I never had a gender reveal party and those sound really fun!

I don't knowww! We found out last time, and I was so happy we did, but I am so tempted to be team green this time! DH is shocked that I might want to be surprised because I am a control freak lol. All of our baby gear is neutral so that doesn't impact our decision to find out early. I'll probably change my mind once 20 weeks rolls around though
I've always wanted to be Team Green, but I will say that it got a little harder to be hardcore Team Green after I actually got pregnant! I think we will stick with Team Green, though.
We are finding out. DH has a 26yo son and he is really hoping for a girl (we both are ) but we will be happy with either gender as long as we have a healthy baby.
Oh yeah in definitely finding that out. I thought at from the title you meant am I throwing a party and making my friends act like they care enough to give up an afternoon and that was gonna be a big fat no.
We will be finding out. Last time we did a gender reveal party. We had our ultra sound tech write "boy" or "girl" on a card and put it in an envelope which we delivered to a friend. She made cupcakes with blue (for boy) icing in the middle. So at the party we all found out together. It was an absolute blast!!

I am defiantly finding out.. Found out with the previous pregnancies and they were all boys.. I want to know if this baby is a girl or a boy. That way I know if I'm buying team pink stuff or if I'm pulling out the team blue ones again.
Finding out! I just asked DH this morning in fact and without even thinking about it or pausing he said "we're finding out!"
Just this one thing made me look back over the TTC 3 months and all the things we've discussed and questions like this that I have asked him and made me realize how many things we're on the same page about. The only thing we disagree on is cloth vs. disposable diapers, so we're compromising!
We're even agreeing on a lot of the names we've both picked out so far!
We found out with my first and will be finding out again. Personally I'm too much of a planner to not know. I don't really understand the whole idea that it's such a better surprise if you choose not to find out. It's a surprise regardless, but to each her own.
