Growth scan this afternoon, and so far I don't feel like death like I did yesterday. I'm also hoping to get my urine culture results so I can stop freaking out and drinking my weight in cranberry juice.

I am so excited for the start of the English Premier League....now I can watch soccer all day long (EPL in the morning, MLS in the afternoons/evenings). Will definitely make early mornings with a newborn easier on the weekend!

On a separate note, I have really enjoyed being pregnant. It's been really easy so far (minus the aches and pains). I think I'm going to miss feeling my LO move around when he's an outside baby. I am so excited to meet him but really trying to treasure these last few weeks.

I set my alarm for 8, because I have a breastfeeding class this morning. I got up to pee at 7 and then baby girl got the hiccups. So I gave up on my last hour of sleep, and went to eat breakfast, write bills, walk dog. I was getting ready to leave when my alarm went off. Yup, it was only 8 not 9...

I've got a HORRIBLE head cold and let me just say...frequent sneezing and large babies sitting on your bladder do not mix. DD ended up getting my cold too and starts Kindergarten Monday. FX she gets better quickly!

DH works M-F and this is the first weekend we have nothing planned: no BF or labor classes, no plans, etc. I am so freaking excited, because I am just ready to relax

Today dh and fil are installing all the doors downstairs. Hopefully there's enough time to pick up paint today so dh can get on that tomorrow. Carpet is coming Tuesday, I'm super psyched. Pic 1 is 4 weeks ago, pic 2 is 2 weeks ago, pic 3 is as of this morning.

Lunch with a friend and furniture shopping today. Hoping we go to breakfast and no where else tomorrow.

ETA: A special thank you to my SS dog who chose to sleep in front of the bathroom door all night and refused to budge even an inch. That was real fun in the dark.

@kmbk27 My dog has taken to sleeping in the middle of our bathroom floor...so I cautiously shuffle through each time! Such a pain...dogs are weird.

Busy weekend for this momma to be, today is the shower my MIL and Mom are throwing me. I don't have a whole lot of female friends who live close enough to come (so like... 5 and at least one of them works today) so they made it coed so some of DH's friends can come. I'm super excited though because my MIL is making some traditional Russian/Georgian sweets and drinks for us and we get to see some friends that we haven't seen in MONTHS. I'm tired from cleaning the apartment the past couple of days, but I'll play hostess to see these friends for a night (they live out of town and it was a bit much of a drive just to be here for an afternoon).

Then tomorrow I'm going to a good friend's baby's first birthday (You guys I bought 2 of the bubble pop books, they are awesome!) and my friend (who works today and cannot come to my shower) is giving me a big ol' box of hand me downs. I am excited not only to celebrate her little girl, but for her generosity.

Today I painted my own toes for what I hope to be the last time before baby comes. So even if nothing else gets done today, I already feel like I'm winning at life lol.

I had such sharp vagina pains last night that I slept with an ice pack between my legs. Super comfortable. Best part was waking up to go pee and having your whole vagina frozen while trying to pee. Weirdest feeling ever, warm pee, frozen vagina. Its the little things like this that keep me entertained nowadays.

I just got the paperwork that told me my son's Kindergarten teacher's name and I choked up just telling him her name. School starts 9/2 and man, it's going to be a hormonal/emotional mess at 38 & 39w pregnant.

I woke up this morning 4 am to two cats fighting in my house. I only have one cat... The other must have crawled in through a window I forgot to close. Oops.

Chasing around a strange cat in my underwear is probably my most entertaining pregnancy moment yet.

I finally pooped! It was life changing. Also, the sciatic pain is gone....coincidence?

Today is my baby shower and I'm headed over to mom's to help her finish cooking. I'm super stoked to see everyone and celebrate this baby with them :-)

I managed to paint my toenails last night and they didn't come out that bad. Maybe I'll be able to change the color before baby girl comes...if not, I'm totally thinkin pedi.

Tomorrow, we're going to the track just to Han out and watch horses...and I'm going to eat lol. Should be a nice, relaxing day

Nothing planned for us. Today is dh's Sunday and dd1 has a birthday party for a friend that I am going to be shuttling her to and from. I need to separate out stuff for a garage sale but I've even saying that for like a year.

Tomorrow is another football day! I better be able to get this one on tv or I may just have to switch tv providers for the season!

I think it kinda hit yesterday that I need to start putting things away for the new one to arrive. Not quite yet but within the next month I need to get everything finished and put away. I have a lot left to do! Maybe that should become part of my plan for today...

Hopefully, we're picking up paint today. I've picked the colors and everything but being out of town made it difficult to get things done. If I have the energy, I might even do some priming.

I try to use a chair and the coffee table. It's not a pretty look when it's going on but hey, if it gets the job done. Also, remember paint on the skin does tend to wash off in the shower...

I have SPD and it has gone through periods of being really, really bad so I have done the same thing. It is suuuuch a weird feeling... esp when the skin is almost numb!

If someone had have told me before I was pregnant that at some point I would have an ice pack stuck to my crotch because it hurt so bad I would never have believed them. Didn't know this was a pregnancy thing lol. I mean, I expected it to hurt AFTER the kid was here, didn't think I'd need the ice before hand!!!!

We've got a pretty exciting weekend, my shower is today and I am very stoked to see all my friends and family. Tomorrow was are doing a live fantasy draft, I've never done one live before but it should be a lot of fun. Not to mention all the tasty treats we are serving. Buffalo chicken dip ftw!!

As the first one pregnant in one of my circles of friends (my work friends are all already moms) I've always felt like a weird science case to them. Sometimes I'll just casually mention an issue I've been having and they look at me like they are ready to bring me into the lab and draw samples... I've had the most typical pregnancy ever (except for the bipolar crap, and my back injury, none of which are serious enough to take me out of low risk) and they just stare at me. "What do you mean your vision changes?" "It's normal for it to hurt like that?" "Wait you leak before the baby gets here??" "I can't believe how tired you are.." I can't help but wonder if I would have been this naive it was one of them pregnant first. Also the number of them who were completely confounded to realize that pregnancy really is 40 weeks..

YEP!! Just this last week my wrist has been ACHING and I had no clue why...pregnancy. shocking. Or things like nosebleeds! I expected that my back would hurt,but I didn't know that it would feel like LO was pushing my hips apart with his shoulders!!! I knew my boobs would get bigger, didn't know they would itch and occasionally for no reason whatsoever my nipples would hurt! And then leak! I feel like we should right a REAL book about pregnancy. Not the What to expect version that doesn't contain any info!!!

On the downside, DH has been extra snappy for the past 4-5 days. He's under a ton of work-related stress and I've totally been getting the brunt of it. On the upside, my shower is today! I'm super excited about having somewhere to go and getting out of the house

We are planning on finishing everything baby related this weekend - organizing the house, putting all the baby stuff away, and generally getting ready. My sister is taking the kiddo for a few hours this weekend, so I'm really hoping that this is it and we can enjoy our next couple weekends as a family of 3.

Other than that, I'm planning on a haircut and dye. I was going to get a pedicure but my kid ripped off half my big toenail (on accident) and has proceeded to step on it/run it over with a toy about 15 times since then, so my poor toe needs some time to recover. We're also having brunch with friends tomorrow and they'll be giving us back some baby things that we lent them.

DH and I spent the day at the Zoo with DD. She chose the zoo as her reward for completing her bedtime sticker chart. It was actually really fun but now my vagina feels like it's falling out from all of the walking. Other than that the plan is to organize baby things and grocery shopping later.

I'm so so sooooo tired of being sick, not being able to eat as well as I should. M/S comes and goes still. Sometimes I can eat like a pig and be fine, other times I'm lucky if I can drink milk before going to bed at night. Then there's times when something will trigger my nausea.... like a diaper blowout from DS. This morning was one such instance.

We ran out of milk last night so DS and I went out to breakfast this morning before hitting the grocery store. We were both done eating, I got the check, DS was playing with a spoon, and I was just enjoying the last of my tea. Then DS put the spoon too far into his mouth and gagged. I saw the puke filling his mouth and grabbed a napkin. I caught most of it and he was just fine, but two beats later I was puking. I tried to stop it since I'm sitting in the middle of a diner, but that just made it worse. I can't believe I puked in public. The waiter got a 50% tip and I left feeling awful.

We went grocery shopping and I am now home digging into a tub of cookie dough and not giving a fuck.

tl;dr M/S sucks. Cookie dough fixes all things.

This is my last long weekend off from work (the next one I will be in the hospital for my induction), so I'm using it to get the house cleaned up and get some last minute stuff done before little man gets here.

I had my growth u/s yesterday, and he is definitely head down with his little noggin buried deep in my crotchal region, which explains why I hurt all the fucking time. The tech had to go searching for his head. He's right at the 50th percentile and coming in at 6 lb 13 oz (+/- lb). I think he is gonna be a long baby because I can still feel him near my ribs.

@tromboner That sucks about the M/S.

Trying to get things crossed off my to do list today! I think I have everything bought LO and I are going to need, so its nice to know Im done spending money for the time being. I have a huge to do that was added to my list though, I NEED to get our business Quick Books up to date before LO is here. Our accountant (or I should say now EX-accountant) finally gave me back our back up file that she has had since Feb this week and I have not been able to work on this years entries at all. BLAH!!

I'm going to put this here for now because I think it's totally random and NBR at all! Just found out that one of the VERY modest guys I graduated high school with is a male stripper. He was even on that show on E! Men of the Strip. I have no problem with strippers what so ever I was just very surprised to see him pop up on that show. Kinda like a WTF that's Derek!!
