So I had my first U/S today, and I'm a little over 7 weeks, and the doctor couldn't see anything in my uterus. The took a blood test today as well to check my levels and they're going to call with my results later, but does this mean I miscarried and its over already? We're both besides ourselves, and I think I'm in denial. I just don't want to believe it. Is it possible to still be pregnant if you can't see anything at 7 weeks? Please let me know if anything like this has happened to any of you. Thanks for listening....
Oh man, I'm so SO sorry. I don't have any experience with this either, but have definitely heard/read enough peoples' experiences to know how heartbreaking this can be.
I will hold out hope for you guys.

First off, I'm really sorry - anything but a definitive u/s is hard.
Second - I'm also sorry to say at 7w to not see anything isn't a very good sign . However, I've known people that have had something 'show up' after the kind of u/s you had, but it's not super common. For example, in my case, I had a heartbeat at 6w1d with both pregnancies. I hope you get good news, but I would say it could be that you had a blighted ovum (no baby in the first place), or a miscarriage.
Wait and see how your levels look and I'd ask for another u/s in a week if they are good.
Hugs. This is no fun and totally sucks .

I am so sorry to hear this. You should by 7 weeks see something on ultrasound. You beta levels help tell the doctor what they should see (ie yolk sac vs gestastional sac vs live IUP). They likely drew a beta after your ultrasound didn't show anything. Depending on your beta level they may need to do more testing to ensure it isn't a tubal pregnancy. I would like to say maybe your dates are off but on this board that doesn't usually apply since most of us know our exact date of insemination or transfer. Again I am so sorry.

Well I just heard back and my levels are at 7000 which the doctor said isn't good because she's pretty sure it's an ectopic pregnancy. I just keep wanting to think that the baby is hiding or something. I know that's silly. At any rate I'm having another u/s done tomorrow morning to be sure then they have to give me the medication to take care of it. Argh... Why me
I'm sorry to hear this. Many women have had your experience and then go on to have healthy pregnancies afterward. Hang in there. TTC is a roller coaster of emotions.
Ug. I'm so sorry. I hope your tubes are ok. We're here for you. Hugs.

I'm so sorry! My beta was a 400 and I had my first u/s at 6 weeks and it showed no sac. We had to wait for the call letting us know if my beta went up. Unfortunately it went down to a 76, so it was a chemical. Big hugs

I'm so sorry to hear this. It always hurts to hear that a pregnancy isn't (or might not be) viable.
I had a blighted ovum in my first pregnancy; you can usually see at least a gestational sac on the u/s. So it does sound likely that it would be tubal/ectopic since it isn't showing anything at all. I wish you and your SO the best as you work through this.

Well I had another u/s this morning and it was the same as yesterday, empty uterus. They proscribed Methotrexate and and I just had the injections done now...I can't believe this happened. I wish I could stop the emotional pain. I should have realized that getting a BFP on the first IUI was too good to be true. That being said I still want to try again in a few months, but I think I need to step away for a little bit, it's just too painful. Thank you all for your kind words, we really appreciate it.
I'm so sorry this is happening. You go from beyond excited to completely devastated. Extra hugs to you both!
