I guess I'm gullible - I usually take everyone at face value. There have been a few stories that seem like BS, but I mostly ignore them.
I did call GC wasn't real from the get go, though, so I'm not THAT gullible!
I do too! There have only been one or two times when I thought to myself, "Really? That REALLY happened?" but it's always been about small stuff, not anything huge.

Yes. Nutramigen for milk protein intolerance, $25 for a small can that will last about 3-4 days. As much as I loathe pumping, I keep doing it because I can get two meals per day out of my 6-8 oz supply. Every bit helps.
I have a small can my dr gave us to try that is unopened. It's not much but you're welcome to it.
I don't understand why people act like diapers and formula cost that much. We spend MAYBE $70 a month on both combined. My dog costs me more than that. So does my cellphone.
I confess that we do receive $100 a month from the government as a baby bonus, but still. It's not as crazy as I thought it would be based on the way my friends carried on about it.
We spend about $70 a WEEK on formula and diapers. And we're drowning.
Holy shit dude! That sucks

That really sucks. Props to keeping up with the pumping. Having to eliminate the dairy from your diet on top of having to pay through the nose for that stuff sucks. I'm totally with you on the every little bit helps part though. It's a huge reason (maybe the biggest reason) I stuck with BF'ing when A was having his bad months.
Have you looked into getting the formula covered by insurance? I thought I saw somewhere here that some insurance companies will cover it. Can't hurt to ask (assuming you haven't already looked into this). I'm all for getting every last penny insurance owes me, since that's why I pay for it!
I feel like now that I have a baby I need to dress more matronly. I realize this is absurd considering my age but I get so nervous putting on my old clothes. Not sure if that counts as a FFFC but it's all I've got.
@dani+california Costco and Sam's are different (Sam's is owned by Walmart), but everyone I know who shops at CostCo really likes their off brand dipes!

Yeah... I kinda feel like I should dress more adult like now.
Since pretty much nothing fits I may try to step it up when I buy new clothes.
I'm excited to live near a costco soon. I'm going to try and convince my mom to add me to her membership. Cuz I'm cheap like that. I don't even know if that's possible. But I hope it is. Otherwise, I'll ask for it as a Christmas present in lieu of baby crap to clutter up the house. I already have enough of that.
I will probably eat a hot dog every time I go there. And troll the free samples like I did as a kid.
Tell your mom to do the Executive membership. You get 2% back from your Costco purchases. My mom and I are on the same Executive membership and with two households worth of purchases, we never have to pay for renewals and have some money left over every year.
I think eating healthy is hard on bad days. Seriously, chocolate/sweets elevate my mood and cool my jets when the kids are driving me nuts. My hubby always criticizes me about that, and while it pisses me off that he does, I still agree with him. I'll never tell him that though.
You get criticized for eating chocolate? F that. Having sweets is better than going BSC. I had a rough day yesterday and made DH pick me up some greasy Burger King on the way home. Instant mood lifter. That's why it's called comfort food!
Tell your hubby there's other coping methods besides chocolate, you could take up drinking, smoking weed, cigarettes....bet he'll shut up about chocolate.
Some formula can be covered by WIC if you can get approved. The income limit is a lot higher than other programs.
We named our daughter after a Scifi character. DH suggested the name, I liked it, and then he told where it was from. We did change the spelling though
going along with Kendra's deliciously vague post up above...
there are several people on here who i would go to medium lengths to meet because i just can't believe the full spectrum of what they post can actually be substantiated in one actual human person.
Fine. My FFFC is that I think it's annoying when people post vague things that would probably be hurtful if they weren't hiding behind a vague statement. It's like when people post "Some people really need to grow up!" or something to that effect on Facebook when they're talking about someone on their friends list. Super mature. :-bd

I'm EBF and I still enjoy pinching a nipple and shooting milk out as far as I can. Daily. And not just in the shower. I'm very mature.
I EBF and have only been able to do this once. I wish I could do it more often and have totally mature sneak attacks on DH. "Oh, you hit the snooze button again? SPRAY!"
I can't stand the Kardashians! Kim only became famous because she was F'ing pee'd on during a sex tape and the mom is a real piece of work. I automatically judge. People a little when they say they like it. That includes my sister lol .
Re Formula: ours is 30$/can. We spend anywhere from $210-240 a month on it. So yeah for us it's very expensive. I've written a letter of appeal to the insurance company because it's considered a "medical food" so I'm really. Really hoping it's approved. Send good juju this way A14 for approval because in our case it is getting really expensive.
How did I not know this? I knew about the sex tape part. Guess I need to watch more celebrity sex tapes
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
Reading this thread makes me mad that in the UK we don't have cheaper deals on baby stuff. In the UK the government made it illegal for any shop anywhere to ever have money off formula. This was their attempt at forcing people to BF. So there's never any money off, or deals, or coupons for them etc. They are always full price. If you have a gift voucher, or if you collect supermarket "points" like tesco clubcard points when you shop then you also can't use them as part payment against formula.
They also made it illegal for supermarkets / shops to make their own brands of formula as they would inevitable be cheaper than name brands. So we only have access to 3 name brand formulas in shops (Aptamil, SMA and Cow & Gate). The cheapest is £10 a can and that lasts us about 5 days.

This. I don't mean to be a bitch but I think most of us read vague comments and take it personally and you don't know how sensitive some people are. It's rude and hurtful. Maybe I'm incredibly naive but I believe what people say and there's not a single person here that I do not like.

My tiny inner narcissist is prancing and singing, "She LIKES me!"
Slow your roll, snowflake! She just said she doesn't not like you!
Kidding of course! Who doesn't love JSparks?! If you don't, then tell UO all about it, and may you never get a single lovetit.

FWIW I don't hate anyone here. My comment is a more general "love the content, not the person behind it" thing. I don't play favorites with lovetits.
ETA: hmm, still sounds wrong, but oh well.
I don't hate anyone here either. Ain't nobody got time fo dat. But I'm the same way. If you earned your lovetit, you earned your lovetit.

But come on, you can't REALLY believe everything everyone says on here, right? I mean, it's the internet. At least 10% of these people are pulling your leg about something.
...see? I totally just pulled that percentage out of my ass. And I'm not really Rogue from X-Men (but I wish I was - waaahhhh).

I bet my stories are sometimes unbelievable. But all the hard to believe stuff was from high school, and now my life is super boring.
I believe your stories. I was going to ask you, did you go to Crossroads?
I was thinking my life might sound a bit unbelievable to some, but then I decided I it couldn't be me because I haven't revealed much of it. There are some things I've never talked about and threads I haven't participated in, that would give a clue what I'm private about and only speculations to why.
I'm also curious to who Kendra is talking about. I don't understand the motivation behind catfish, but I suppose that's because my life doesn't suck.

I think saying "it's the internet" can be used when talking about how you can't believe everything as a factual, credible source for information, but I don't think people turn into liars just because "it's the internet."

I'm not saying the internet is turning people into liars. I'm saying some people probably lie anyway, and it's easier to do on the internet. It's just plain likely in a group this big.
Ummmmmm The Lego Movie is fucking awesome. My kids and husband hate it but I can watch it over and over!!! And seriously guys, who the hell has posted anything believed not to be true on this board? I don't recall anyone ever posting something so outrageous, or I may have missed a particular day that had happened.
FFFC - My house looks like that of a couple well-meaning frat boys who just got word that their moms are coming to visit. A bunch of mismatched cheap furniture (not in the cool intentionally paired way), undoubtedly a stray beer bottle or glass of water, a bazillion cords in the living room for a sound system and various gaming systems, and awkward stacks of random shit that doesn't have a "home". We keep it pretty clean within those constraints, but I can't help but look at some of the shots in people's homes here and be all, "Man, I wanna do that when I grow up." Ha.
You're probably more comfortable in your own home than I am. I loved decorating and planning for this house...but now that it's all done I seriously can't relax unless things are spotless. And I'm in for a HUGE awakening when Quinn is crawling around and I'm trying to find a way to tether a 50 pound 120 year old decorative door to the wall...bahaha
This is cracking me up, because we currently rent and I am so excited at the prospect of decorating our future home. I daydream about it. But then I realize I have two children and I know the result of my efforts will be covered in Crayola rainbow vomit and peanut butter. That is REAL LYFE.
