I'm at size 24ish, have lost 10 lbs since my BFP so some 22s fit except for the bloat belly. My hips/stomach tend to be the biggest, although I just bought 38F bras the other day, and am enjoying the awesome pastime of retrieving all the crap that falls in my cleavage. Someone make a V - neck that busty gals can wear and not feel like a hooker!

  • I'm a 20 in pants, 18 in dresses typically. Depends on the brand. This is the heaviest I've been and I'm trying to be okay with that for right now.

  • 14-16 pant. I wear 38j bra at the moment so tops can be an issue. Wanted to be back in an 8-10 but I just can't get there in a healthy way. It is really upsetting but I am dealing with it I guess

  • 22/24 for my pants, 18/20 for tops at Lane Bryant.  I shop online when I get a 60% off coupon!

I like JC Penny's too.  I'm a 2X in their shirts.  They had a sale on $5 cotton shirts - I was pretty excited :)

Does Motherhood go up that high (i.e. 22/24)?  I hate when people say "so-and-so carries plus sizes" but then I find out they max out at size 18 :P That ain't gonna help my chunky butt.

  • @cafecreme‌ yeah I'm a 38 band around for bras

I'm a 38 as well. I guess some of my size 14 dresses probably run bigger or stretchy.

  • Im in! This is my third pregnancy and have been blessed with two beautiful girls! I am 5'7" and 235 before pregnency. Now i am at 222 because of ms. I have to take the glucose test at 16 weeks and 28 weeks and had to do the same with my second daughter. It doesnt bother me knowing that they ate trying to keep me and the baby healthy!

+1. Motherhood online I believe goes up to 3x or 4x.

  • I like this idea.  I'm 22/24 as well, but really hour glass shaped.  My struggle is finding stuff to fit over my ass and thighs, and not be huge in the waist.

  • Count me in!

Little in the middle but she got much back!  Sorry - had to say it :)

I envy you.  I'm shaped like a fridge.  Big all over, barely any waist at all, and a butt as flat as Nebraska.

Sounds good guys. From the newbie thread it looks like Tuesdays don't have anything major going on so maybe we could do it then!

@cafecreme‌ Do you want to partner up with me for it since you were doing the other one too?

I've got some ideas from this thread but feel free to give me others you may want to discuss!

  • 16 before conceiving. Shot up to 18 in first 6 wks :/ boobs went from 38D to 38/40DD as well. All seems to be boobs and tummy. Fluctuating between 4-6lbs up atm.

I'm not tolerating pressure on my stomach well so I am buying 20's to relieve that.

  • I would be interested in this group mainly for the sharing ideas/plus size resources. Thank you for setting it up!

Sounds good. We can rotate every other week with posting the thread if that sounds good. I like the idea of just GTKY's- simple questions like how far along you are, are you married, do you have other kids, any appointments coming up, etc. I also like the idea of "what are you wearing today?" and maybe posting a photo or telling us where you got it.

  • I am typically a 3x, sometimes 2 x. 22/24 and 42/44D (though I am about ready for DD). I just ordered a few things from motherhood because my pants are getting tight. I am also finding plus size maternity clothes on eBay.

LOL  well, you say that, but finding pants that don't show my panties to the world when I bend over is pretty tough.  I LOVED Fashion Bugs "blue circle" pants.  I cried when they went out of business.

  • I'm a 16/18. I can't wait until fall to layer. My belly bloat is ridiculous & I just want to hide under scarves & sweaters! :) for now anyway! I've lost almost 12lbs being pregnant but I did the same with my first with a total of 30lb loss. After I had her I gained ALL my weight back +12lbs. I've got a ton of stretchy & comfy clothes. I like the idea of a photo share with what you're wearing! It'll help give me ideas!

The jeans are a bit different.  The T3 "tighter tummy technology" does ok for me, but the fashion bug blue circles were perfect.

The other issue, is Jeans at FB were $27.  Jeans at LB are $60. :(

  • So true. I didn't know they had new tummy tech. I stopped shopping there when I stopped working for them.

  • I'm also plus size and can tell you I wear a 26/28 most of the time for shirts and pants. I have size 3x clothes from Motherhood maternity that fit me. I wasn't able to find anything elsewhere. Hope this helps someone out.

  • Whoops. I had a mother's helper on Tuesday who distracted me from bumping. I'll be good and do it next week!

Anybody want to check-in in general? I see were talking about clothes I've recently had some good luck at JCPenney.

  • @lisap0924‌ I'm normally a 38DD too, just bought 40E nursing bras at motherhood - that's the only place I know that has bras that big in stock.

Thank you @kaydedid I will have to check there when the girls outgrow my current bras.

We have a local place called Lady Grace that specializes in large busted undergarments. I bet they would be able to help me out too.

  • "Big girls just don't have the stamina." Really? What an asshole! Obviously he has never seen a curvaceous woman with a goal. I'm sorry but when the time comes to meet this little guy or girl you better believe your sweet ass I WILL find the stamina.
  • I would be interested. I lost 40 lbs prior to conception. I'm 5'8 and 203-207 depends on the time of day. I still wear my 16/18 clothes the 18s are comfy for an hour and then it becomes the pull up my pants game. The 16s fit and I can't quite get my belly down enough to go down a size. Since I got pregnant I haven't been able to get the scale to move either direction. I had really hoped to drop another 10 lbs first it would be nice even if it was short lives to be "overweight" and not "obese" for a little while.

I found some clothes in target maternity that fit comfortably who knows if they will still fit after I wash them, could be interesting.

And as far as stamina goes I can hold my own with the skinnys. I was 220 when I delivered my daughter, my labor was 24 hours and I actively pushed for 12, yes I did say 12. They were in the verge of calling it and doing a c section when I finally got her moved. She was a moose lol

  • Speaking of bras I just bought a nice one from pea in the pod at Destination Maternity. I love it. It holds the ladies up. Only thing is it has these clips on the straps where you can unhook the extra support layer and my boobs just fall. Maybe its the whole, letting your boobs rest at the end of the day ? haha
