Update inc--Prayers needed....please

My mom went in for a quick surgical procedure to remove a stent in her kidney today that's in place due to kidney stones. When dr went in the stone causing the issue was accessible so he attempted to scoop it out. She's had this done before without issue. Well, within minutes she was having difficulty breathing in recovery. After trying to treat that, her heart stopped twice and she needed to be intubated. She is now in cardiac ICU and is septic. They are not sure where sepsis came from But are thinking there was infection in kidney behind stone. Not sure how it went undetected in two rounds of pre surgical testing.

I am having contractions and my BP was up for first time in my pregnancy. Drs want me to take it easy and try to stay off my feet a bit. I'm trying to rest but all I can think about is her laying in that bed with tubes coming out of her everywhere. I'm in shock. I need my mom. Please, please pray for her to recover from this. UPDATE: Drs said "critical but stable. Not out of woods yet." Her BP is still really low. They are giving her meds to raise it. As of today they started to reduce BP meds to see if she could keep top number in the 90's. If she can they can try taking tube out. We are hoping that will be tomorrow or Sunday. If not, they will need to find another way to address BP issue. She is agitated and frustrated. Tries to talk but so hard to read her lips! She keeps saying she's sorry and she rubs my belly .... They are treating sepsis infection. Today fever was down. We still have a long road ahead of us. As for me contractions have continued but sporadic. I will only go for half day tomorrow as I have no one to watch my son. Thank you all for your support and prayers!

Thinking of you. Try and stay calm and distracted, if possible. Your mom wants a healthy you and a healthy grandbaby, and that means trying to stay stress free! She is in the best place she can be for treatment, and try to take comfort in the fact that, even though it was missed, they've found it now.
