My work bff gave me the Best Of Cranberries CD today as a thank you for taking care of some of his projects while he was out sick (we have an ongoing joke of quotes from the movie Clueless- this was a reference to Elton leaving his Cranberries CD on the quad- I know it seems like a really random gift). But I just wanted to remind you all how great this band/CD is. Linger is magical.

Ugg, I am so dizzy. Anyone else struggling with this?

On another note, I told a coworker I was pregnant and she said "Congratulations, you had unprotected sex!" It was actually quite funny because she is a hilarious, random person. We also debated who would take me to the hospital should I go into labor at work. Frankly, I'm not sure I would trust any of them should the need arise, lol.

Another random for me: I officially signed my appointment for another year. So, I am gainfully employed until Aug. 20 2015. Yay!

@kismetjess I found nursing easier the second time around. I had a better idea what I was doing, and was able to help baby latch better, so things were much less painful. There's still the "breaking in" period, but it only lasted for a week or so, and lanolin helped immensley. Also, my midwife gave me a special natural cream that helped, but I forget what was in it.

Also - soothies! They really help in that first painful week.

clueless is one of my favorite movies. Its on vh1 right now!

Lice love clean hair, it's easier to grab. The tv was advertising some sort of lice repellant shampoo, can't recall off hand what it's called. So, kid flea-dip?

We wash DD's hair every other night, and I just started sending her to school with her hair down yesterday. I usually put it in a tight ponytail (sans gel). I'll have to look into this shampoo.

My scalp itches just thinking about it.

My sister's youngest is CONSTANTLY getting lice. I have no idea why, and no one knows where she keeps catching it from.

But they seem to get rid of it really easily, if it's any consolation.

I'm jealous of your kid's hair. Poor Marnie takes after her mom in the hair department. As in there isn't a lot of it, and it grows really slowly. She's three, and I've trimmed her hair once, and it's only just below her shoulders. And her pony tails are so tiny! Poor girl. Amanda has DH's hair, so I'm hoping it grows in a little thicker and faster....

DH noticed that I've been a little stressed this week because I'm trying to get the kid to get back to her school schedule and has been super sweet. He surprised me again today and planned a last minute weekend trip to myrtle beach while I took a nap!

Does anyone have a Gigi's cupcakes near their house? They are amazing! I'm already planning to gain a few extra lbs just because cookie dough cupcakes and cinnamon roll cupcakes are irresistible. Also, they have Oreo and cherry coke cupcakes.

The icing is too much for me. Def a fan of their cheesecakes though!

Just finished this today... Good thing about slow days is being able to crochet all day. People love Viking helmet toques. I feel badass.

(Also please excuse the mascara smeared under my eyes. I'm a mess.)

They're super easy to make if you can crochet! If you google "Lael Viking Helmet Pattern" it comes up on Etsy. They are SO popular. Everyone in my family wants to have one, so I'm in mass production mode.

@thegoodpotato I haven't the slightest clue on how to crochet. The closest I can get to anything of that sort is making friendship bracelets, a skill I learned when I was 10.

I had a dream the other night that we were doing the sex reveal cake thing...Well, I cut into the cake and it was blue and pink. I was like WTF...we aren't having twins. Turns out the doctor couldn't get a good view so they put boy or girl on the paper we took to the bakery. oyyyyy. I woke up and was totally confused...random...

@blondemarmot @hilarylo @psychobutthead It's just so infuriating because I can't even figure out where they're coming from! I'd always see them come in from a gap under the cabinet, so DH filled that in with some spakle, but they're coming from somewhere else now. If this new gel bait that I just ordered (thanks for the recc @flowerpower16) doesn't work, I'm going to put my foot down and tell DH it's time to find an exterminator like @thegoodpotato said.

Omg me too... Serious cold.. I only ever get a little congestion if I get a cold and right now I'm the walking plague. Finally it's fading a little but the headaches are killing me. After visiting family yesterday, I passed out on our 1.5 hour drive home... Something I never do because it was either that or be miserable to the point of tears the whole way home. Blah!

I'm doing ok in terms of pregnancy symptoms but this blows.
