@ASmallWonder
When rear-facing how do you keep the back of the seat (actual seat in the car that the car seat is installed in) from getting dirty from kid's shoes? DD still barely walks so her shoes are not that dirty, but at some point that will change and I'm picturing muddy/snowy shoes on the back of the seat she faces, not a happy thought. Do people attach something to protect their seat? I've seen things marketed for when seats are forward facing like
This. Would that work for rear facing as well?
PS A saw a friend of mine post on CSFTL that she is turning her 2 yo back to RF (was FF since before 18 months) and I got so excited.

@asmallwonder T-shirt is genius! I was thinking about how I probably shouldn't put anything between the seat and the car seat..... Depending on how bad the snow and slush is I might try using a thin towel in the winter, but only it I felt like I was still getting a tight install. Do you think it would be OK to drape the towel (if it's only 2-4") on top of the car seat under her feet? That way it wouldn't be between the seat and the car seat? But would be between her feet and the seat....
I would only buy on of the plastic protectors like the one on Amazon if it was short enough to not go in between the seat and the car seat.

I live in buffalo and I always take my kid's shoes/boots/sandals off. Ds1 is sometimes not the best best behaved and will kick the back of my seat (he's behind the driver's seat.
