EDD/Week/Fruit- March 8/10 weeks/date Worries (rational or irrational) - For the last couple of weeks I've been feeling really sore in my public area and inner thighs. Called the triage nurse and she was of no help. I Have No Idea Why This Is happening. I'm going to take some Tylenol for the first time to see if it goes away. I feel it only when I walk or when I go from sitting to standing. It's not super painful and there's no bleeding. So of course my pgal brain is going crazy Appointments scheduled- next one is on Aug 28th, my 12 week NT scan. But I'm debating om whether I should make an appt for this Friday afternoon with my OB. Upcoming milestones/Loss dates: We passed our first milestone a couple of weeks ago, now I'm just hoping to move on to the next trimester!! QoTW: (Stolen from another check-in) Where did you spend your best vacation ever? What made it the best? My honeymoon to St. Martin. That was also my husband and my's first trip together by ourselves :-)
Sorry about the unexplained pain. Is there a different person at your doctor's office that you could try and speak to about it? I was surprised how much pain was involved in pregnancy -- from the cramping type pain to the stretching pain to round ligament pain. I guess it makes sense, since something is growing in your uterus, but it definitely can be unsettling. I hope you get some answers soon!

  • @footprint The day was easier than I expected. I went to the park and had a nice walk (and cry). It was such a beautiful morning, there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I'm bummed that DH didn't acknowledge the day (I didn't say anything to him) but I understand how he feels. I think I will push more when it is her angelversary to do something to honor her.

Overall I am feeling well. Ive been nervous these past couple days that something is wrong. I have a Doppler but I don't want to run to it every day. I know that it is my brain playing tricks, but this was around the time things started happening last time (14 weeks). I didn't give my whole run down since I am out of the 1st, but I can if you like.

  • EDD/Week/Fruit about 4 weeks

Worries (rational or irrational) I had an early miscarriage around 7 weeks with my first pregnancy, so of course that's always on my mind. I've also been having a lot of cramps the last two days.

    Appointments scheduled 8/21

    Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
I miscarried Labor Day weekend 4 years ago so I'm not looking forward to that holiday.

QoTW: (Stolen from another check-in) Where did you spend your best vacation ever? What made it the best? Kauai on our honeymoon. We had no worries! We just got to relax and spend time together.

It sound like you had a nice day remembering. My H didn't remember either. Well, if he remembered, he didn't say anything to me about it. I wasn't mad but more confounded on how he could not remember. To be fully honest, I was a bit jealous too. It was hard for me when my EDD was easier than I had expected it to be, like if I cared more or was a better mother I would have been emotionally crippled by my EDD - but I wasn't. That made me sad. There are just so many unpleasant feelings surround miscarriage and loss. May I ask why you don't want to run your Doppler every day? I am one of the only women on here that hasn't bought a home Doppler and you've piqued my curiousity.

@footprint I set up an appt for Friday after I fly back into town to talk to one of the docs at the office. I definitely do not care for the triage nurse at the place, I get the feeling she doesn't know what she's talking about based on my past conversations. I'm hoping we get to hear the heart or see the baby to calm my fears!

  • @footprint Yeah I had some mixed emotions that day. I didn't want being pregnant to mask the idea that she should be in my arms. I truly feel that she looks out for me and I thank her every day for this blessing that I carry.

I borrowed the Doppler from a friend. I don't want to rely on it to get me through every day. I tend to worry and obsess over little things. In my mind, this is my way of trying to relax and not be fearful this pregnancy. I do check about 2 times a week. I have a check up tomorrow so I know they will listen then.

Things have been going well and there has been no reason to doubt this pregnancy. Just need to take some deep breaths to get me through. I would love to go back to my first pregnancy when I was naive about everything.
  • Hi @footprint! Sorry I missed the check-in last week. It was crazy at work and then we went on a little vacation, so I fell behind. Last week you asked about my insurance and NT Scan. Apparently my insurance company has never heard of such a thing and needs to do more research. Has anyone run into this? I saw in the brochure I received from my OB that the genetics counselor practice will help you figure out your insurance, so that will be my phone call today since I need to get it scheduled asap.

    Worries (rational or irrational)
Just getting a little nervous for my first doppler appointment coming in a couple of weeks. Last time that was the appointment the mmc was discovered. I've passed my loss milestones and this appointment will be at 13 weeks (the last time it was at 11), so I'm trying to focus on that and continue to stay positive about this LO.

    Appointments scheduled
    Check-up with OB on 8/25

    Upcoming milestones/Loss dates
Passed my loss milestones! My due is coming up in September, so just need to get through that.

QoTW: (Stolen from another check-in) Where did you spend your best vacation ever? What made it the best?
Definitely our honeymoon in Greece! We traveled in the islands and the mountains in the mainland. It was amazing!

Congrats on your positive and welcome to first tri check-in! I had a lot of pain and cramp-like stretchy pain in the weeks following my positive. (I am mobile and can't see your siggy, so I am not sure of your history). I hope that time flies so your appointment is here before you know it! A lot of women, myself included, have found the PgAL mantras helpful. ETA I am so sorry this is coming to you late. I typed this out last night but it didn't post and now I feel like a jerk! Sorry again!
